had them upgrade my panel last year. that went fine, they came on set day and finished on same day. price was fair. however, they never had SCE come back and do inspection or lock in meter. I tried called them twice never got answer. I admit I failed to follow up more. I ended up flagging down a SCE truck that was at neighbors and guy was nice enough to look at panel after I explained what happen he asked if it had been inspected. I said I had no idea Wonder Electric did the work. He said oh I see! He looked over panel and said Well it looks good you have proper grounding and placement and got his little special lock and locked the meter in. I now need a breaker replaced that appears to have been broken upon installation, but I can't prove they broke it all I wanted to do was buy the breaker from them since no one seems to have it in stock. They wanted to send someone out at $98 service fee and $49 travel fee plus the cost of the breaker and who knows what else. I told them I could not pay that much at this time. She put what I was told the Bose/owner on the phone with me. He said he can't sell parts right now as he needs them to keep the guys working. He told me to go on amazon they have them. and that is sounds like I have too much stuff on one breaker. Yes, maybe but we haven't the money to sort that out yet. I just need the broken breaker replaced so that it will stay in the panel right and not sit cockeyed in the slot. casing is broken on the breaker so it will not stay on the bars as needed and is losing contact, so it is tripping. Yes, I know amazon shows they have them, but they have a 2-to-3-week delivery and cost twice as much or more then the hardware stores if they had one. I called back and asked why you can't sell me one now so I can fix my issue and order one yourself from amazon to replace it. I was then told let me check only to then be told they are out too. I am sure if I had been able to pay their $98 service fee and $49 travel fees as well as the parts cost and have them set me a date 2 or 3 weeks out, they would have had the part needed. the fact that I have a child and a disabled person in the home with a breaker problem didn't seem to mean anything to them. I thanked them for their rude service, and I will not use them again nor recommend them. I am not some random person trying to buy up parts I truly needed their help and they do not want to help fix something they may have broken. and I wasn't even asking that they do this under their warranty I was willing to pay for the breaker they may have broken in the first place, and I got no help. I used them because they like me are a long-time resident of 29 Palms. but clearly, they don't care about their customers as much as the money they can get out of them. giving 2 stars only because they came on time and completed initial work as promised.

the office worker was unprofessional on the phone (1st red flag). stubborn me as i really wanted to use local folks...the techs came; one used stranded wire instead of sold with lots of fraying...another installed a switch upside down, another left a cord dangling...two techs had unprofessional comments towards me....i was told that i had not paid a bill - i had & had to email them a copy of their receipt...
----- never again!

I probably should have looked at Yelp reviews prior to scheduling time for a quote as all of the negative reviews make sense. My appointment was scheduled from 9:30am - 10:30am. The technician arrived close to 11am. I was with a heating and air technician at the time and asked that the electrician showed up and asked if he could wait for five minutes if possible. I told him that I expected him earlier. In five mins I was ready for the electrician and he basically got angry and was extremely rude stating that he showed up at the property multiple times prior to now. I decided not to show him my panel within seconds since his attitude was so horrible, and he left complaining and mumbling. Horrible vibes. Not the type of company that I would ever want to do business with.

First of all let me say I've done business with wonder electric a number of times and it's never what's promised or when it's promised. I recently had a service upgrade and the were not even able to measure and cut properly so I now have 4 wire nuts in my panel and 2 of those are for the 100amp going to the sub panel. The box looks like my child did it and it took 4 months longer then promised and the took the extra 20 feet of #4 wire I bought and refused to return it which has now cost me money and time since I planned on using this for my hot tub . They miss labeled have the circuits in the box and have done this on another property we have as well. I was verbal quoted one price then charges 800 dollars more and threatened with collections to ruin my credit if o did not pay . They are the only game in town and feel they can do whatever they want . Don't waste your time and your hard earned money you will not be satisfied .

Update: after several collection calls, I finally got their collection agent to send me a copy of the bill today, the first time I had seen it. It was for $215 for attaching two wire nuts to some bare wires and looking at my electrical box without touching anything and saying ""it looks ok."" Remember they were out there to give me an estimate....

So instead of an estimate, they sent an bill which I never received. Why didn't I get it? Because they sent it to an address to which the post office does not deliver, and it was returned to them. Wonder Electric knew or should have known that I didn't get their invoice, because the post office sent it back to them. Instead of correcting their error, they sent me to collections -- nice! I also told their office person that I didn't receive anything, but instead of her asking where it should be sent, or asking for an email address, or anything, she just told me the bill (which I had never seen, for an amount I was never told) was going straight to collections.

There's an element of spite in this, because the collections person told me that Wonder Electric thinks I was just using them to get a free professional opinion before I did the work myself. This would explain, though not excuse, why they never got back to me and why they treated me with such disdain -- but there's no truth to it at all.

In fact, I got (or tried to get) estimates from Hale Electric and another company, because I really needed the work done and I was willing to pay for it. Hale came out and looked and then told me they were too busy (job too small), and the other place ghosted me, but only Wonder Electric sent me a bill. I surmise that they decided (incorrectly) that I was trying to cheat them out of their expertise, so they never bothered to send it, but instead to charge me $215 for capping some wires.

Meanwhile, I have excellent relations with my plumber, my builder, and other people I hire to help with renovations. I pay them promptly and without complaint. I have left them excellent reviews here on Yelp.

Wonder Electric needs to seriously examine how their office works and stop making bad assumptions about their customers, then spitefully pursuing vendettas against them for imagined slights. I am sure there are good people at Wonder Electric (in fact everyone who came out seemed nice), but some people there seem to want to start vendettas with their customers. That's not something that anyone imagines when they call an electrician, but that's what I got.

This companies name fits their status. They are a complete wonder!???!!
I am finally dropping this company after many attempts over months to get them to start work on my home. They came out for estimates but could never pinpoint a time to start the job. There was one excuse after another and incompetent persons in charge, anything from not feeling well to going on a vacation.
I spoke with the secretary on many occasions and always an excuse that sounded legitimate, but nothing would ever become of it.
Finally after undue patience from worker(s) in charge and the secretary I am dropping this ""company"".
My last conversation with the secretary after the worker in charge did not return my calls, I asked the secretary if they were interested in the job. She was very insistent and reassuring they are interested in the job, but have been busy on other sites. She had said I will talk to the worker in charge and call you tommorrow. The secretary never called me back.
This company is no good!!!
I strongly recommend looking elsewhere as Wonder is extremely unprofessional, insidious & deceiving.
