Because I literally rode my bike to the company and paid the full amount of due electric bill plus I added an additional $10 towards the upcoming bill however online it is showing to the person that I paid the electric bill for that it was never paid they just got a piece of mail yesterday which was on the 26th of July 2024 stating that their electric is being shut off in 2 days I am being called a liar and I literally was woke up at 1:00 on the 27th of July 2024 and was told that I needed to vacate the premises I no longer stayed there they were sick and tired of people taking advantage of them when they are in a desperate situation which at the time they had no ride and couldn't make it up there and were and do for paying the electric however I took it upon myself and told that person a great friend of mine that I would personally go and pay it I did so unfortunately it is Saturday I do not know how to contact them to make a formal complaint and to also clear this is huge mistake on your company's part I don't know the employee's name otherwise I would state that person because this is foul this is wrong and it ruined my life for real I literally have nobody else to go to to turn to I have nothing I am literally out on the streets with a personal tent a small pillow my backpack and my wallet that is it this has been going on for far too long she keeps getting bills that are Way beyond what they're supposed to be however she can't get it fixed because her name is not on the bill it's her uncle and her uncle is a lazy no good person because he can give two craps he doesn't even pay towards their electric the individual that does is the very person that I considered a best friend she was supposed to be close enough to me that I consider her my blood relative sister but unfortunately again I am now on the streets because of your company and they're mishaps and I am unable to get to have any justification and my name redeemed simply because my name is not on the bill that is wrong because if you guys are allowing us to pay the bill but you guys won't give us information or won't do anything to assist us because our name is not on the bill you should definitely have that policy changed immediately because it's ruining people's lives I'm sure your company is horrible and they're illegally robbing my sister and she can't do nothing about it because she doesn't have her name on the bill you guys are wrong then you guys shouldn't even allow us to be able to come in in person and pay towards this bill since the policy is you guys can't give us any information you guys can't help and assist the person that is personally paying you guys because our names are not on the bill I have an emergency and I can't even get a hold of you guys because it's Saturday
can't believe this electric company is even allowed to still be in business- I've been forced to use them since moving to wesley chapel in 2022- they have outages constantly. it will be bright and sunny, no wind, a random afternoon and the electric goes out for an hour- with no explanation and no way to even get an estimate on when it will be restored. I work from home and have an infant- it's honestly inexcusable. Their company should have to pay for all of us to have generators at the rate that they go out for no reason at all. I'm going to do my research and file an official complaint with the BBB on a state level because this is out of control.
As a customer for over two years, late once and paid fee, I am shocked that this electric company treats customers like garbage. I am disabled, retired living on limited income. I was late once in two years, paid $5 fee. Recently bill was $115 due on 4/8. This is a current bill for services. Another letter sent demanding to payment of $117 late fee by 4/16. I paid amount due on 4/17. Today a letter comes from WREC stating because I was late, I have to pay $450 additional deposit by 5/2. I am shocked by their business practices and deplorable customer service. While they promote giving thousands back to customers as members if their coop, I have never received any refunds. They need to be investigated by Public Service Commission and exposed for their sketchy business practices including billing and more!

Well, here I sit for yet another morning trying to talk to someone at WREC. I purchased a home in FL. Called right away, within minutes, of when the property legally closed. That was Nov 14th. Now it's Dec 9th and I still can't get access to my account online. I've sent emails, phone calls, 2 long sessions with Customer Service, and all I get is a message that ""This customer is not available for SmartHub"". Customer service keeps sending resets, and the resets immediately go to the screen that says ""This customer is not available for SmartHub"". Ridiculous. I'm an accountant. Have worked on computers my whole life!! So it's not operator error, that's for sure. I just told them to send my bills via mail. I have a better chance of getting them. Sorry to eat up co-op profits with paper bills and postage, but don't have a choice. My low rating is NOT a reflection on the numerous people that have tried to fix this on the phone with me. It's the website, SmartHub program, and the LONG LONG LONG wait times.
This utility company is the best,ever.Lived in Homosassa Springs for less than 7 years,and; since they are a Co-Op,and their rules state something about their Customers being their Investors. I have received a check from them every December. I moved to Lake County in 2016, I'm still getting a bonus check ,and it's now December of 2021! For over $29.00! How's that for Service !!! I was a residential customer.I lived in a Mobile Home. No,they have none of my money,either!!! I thank you, Withlacoochee Electric, and wish you and all of your Employees a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Just a ""Great Service!"" shout out to the guys who came to Starbright Drive at midnight last Tuesday night. We had a tree limb fall and knock the electric wires loose; they were still live and crawling around on the ground making a scary sight - blue flashes, fire, and a really loud hum. Many thanks for the prompt arrival and repairing the wires in the dark of the night. By one thirty, we had our power back on, so no loss to my fridge full of groceries!

We have been WREC customers for seventeen years, never had any problems paying my bills at the office, although I now pay online through the credit union and that makes it easy. Also, we participate in the ""Round-up"" program and this gives back to the community.

Horrible customer service from the top down. Extremely poor, rude attitude! No point to dispute estimated bill, they will tell you how much you used whether you used it or not (no adjustment - ever)! Is this even legal?!
