Today, having completed more than three hundred solar PV and battery storage installations, we’ve built a solid reputation as a trusted provider of solar and electrical solutions. We are proud to meet production goals on every project. Dean is certified by NABCEP and holds multiple certifications from module, battery, and inverter manufacturers.

Our approach is hands-on, and our team is well-trained in safety and best practices. Thanks to our proficiency in solar PV, electrical tasks, and electronics, we are capable of installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining both OEM and custom setups. With over 20 years in business, we are pleased to have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Dean Rafaat (Azim) discovered his passion for electricity, electronics, and computers at the age of 9. He started learning about electronics at a young age and began creating gadgets early on. He built his first computer kit before he turned 10. His interest in electronics and electrical projects expanded throughout his academic journey. During his college studies in electronics, he continued to work for contractors performing electrical tasks. This experience allowed him to earn an electrical contractor's license. His passion for solar ignited after his first installation, driving him to provide solar installations for his electrical clients. Dean recognized early that solar was an expanding industry, and he spent several years in solar to achieve his full NABCEP installation professional certification, the gold standard for solar excellence. Besides his work, Dean (Azim) is presently focusing on integrating advanced energy storage with solar solutions.

PREFACE
I observed that most of the reviews written for Dean & Co. are over a year old.
Perhaps times were slower then and Dean needed the business.
Perhaps things have changed.

REVIEW
I called at the very beginning of August requesting a bid to have hardwired Ring Cameras installed (hardwiring likely needed.) Not a massive job I suppose by electrician standards...but not just replacing a light switch either. Dean said he was ""swamped"" until the end of the month. I asked if he would have time for a bid at the end of August and he said, ""sure."" He also recommended I email him pictures and a description of the project and he could possibly provide a rough estimate based on this. This sounds reasonable, I thought, and decided to send him details then patiently wait until the end of August for a more formal proposal. Afterall, his reviews seemed decent enough and he's quite local to me.

I sent a very thorough description of the project with pictures. No response. Fair enough, ""he's swamped,"" I reasoned.

I waited until the very beginning of September to make my follow-up call to book an inspection/proposal appointment. Dean answered and didn't seem to recall our prior conversation or the project description & pictures I emailed him. He casually replied, ""Ahh, I'm too busy with some big projects. I don't have time.""

I'm a part owner of a medium sized service business as well and have a note of advice for all small/medium business owners: Your customer's (and potential customer's) time is valuable too. If you're too busy for their business, simply tell them up front so as not to waste their valuable time. They just may be as swamped in their life as well.

The original contractor I hired to upgrade my PV system did not do everything correctly when installing my Sol-Ark 8k hybrid inverter. As a result, it did not switch over to the backup battery when the utility breaker was turned off. I contacted every Sol-Ark contractor in my area, and none of them wanted to touch my system because _they_ did not install it, leaving me hanging, until I contacted Dean at Wired Into The Future. When no one else would help me, Dean did. He came over, instantly identified the issue, and 2 days later it was fixed. He was professional, courteous, arrived exactly when he said he would, and did not go over the estimate. He's definitely one of the good ones!

Dean came to our rescue when our back up generator wouldn't turn on during a blackout. I tried several other companies and was told that they either didn't work on generators or would not service/repair what they didn't install. When I called Dean, he happened to be leaving a job in my neighborhood, and he arrived at my home within 15 minutes. It took him only a few minutes to diagnose and fix our generator. Demonstrating his professionalism and kindness, he showed us how to fix it ourselves in the future and later that day sent us an email outlining the steps that he had shown us. We later hired Dean to move an outlet in our garage for our electric car. Dean did a great job at a competitive price and shared some helpful information about optimal charging for our electric car. Highly recommend this company.

Dean saved the day!

How many of you have a solar installer that has either gone out of business or, as in my case, non responsive?

I tried several other solar businesses to come and upgrade my inverter's cell service (3G went away in June 22). The list of installers came from the inverter mfg, saying these companies will help you. WRONG. These companies either ghosted me, or if you did get a hold of someone they claimed they won't work on any equipment they didn't install! Really? That's not what your website says!!!!

Dean to the rescue. I found Dean through word of mouth and after the runaround I already endured, I figured why not contact him. I am so happy I did! Dean is knowledgeable, kind, honest and smart. And guess what? If he says he will do something on a given date and time, HE DOES IT! How refreshing!

So, if you need solar work done give Wired Into The Future a try. You won't regret it.

I highly recommend this company. I had a solar system with backup battery installed in 2019 and the company has since gone out of business. I was stuck with no one willing to touch my system when I had an issue last week. I got this company's info from the LG Chem battery backup website. Dean is the owner of Wired into the Future, and called me back within the day. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was willing to come out and service the issues I had with my solar. He fixed the issues right away! I am very grateful I found a reliable company to help me out and hope to continue using their services for any future issues that are bound to pop up. Dean is also very friendly and personable, which is always a plus! A+

I cannot thank Dean enough for fixing our solar inverter in such a timely manner. We installed solar panels 15yo and the inverter needed replacing. Many companies will not repair inverters that they didn't install. ""not lucrative enough"". Dean had no problem coming out and assessing the work. One company included travel fee and admin fee ($120!) on top of the 2hr minimum labor just to come out and give me an estimate! Believe me, I called many companies. Dean was honest, upfront about costs, professional and nice to deal with.

Dean was the electrician that came out to install a GFI outlet in one of our bathrooms. He was prompt, professional and did excellent work. I also discussed potential future projects with him and he was able to answer all my questions. I will most definitely be using this company in the future.

Wired into the Future just completed a backup generator installation for my home so now I can keep my frig, AC, heaters, water pump, etc running even in a blackout... Dean was quick to respond to my query, competitive in pricing, and showed up and did everything he committed to doing. What one would expect in a contractor, and I'm very pleased of his work...

My solar panels have been working hard for over two years, and I'm embarrassed for not writing this review earlier. I had compared proposals from several companies and ultimately chose to work with Wired into the Future because of Azim's personal involvement in every phase of the project, including actually going up on the roof (with safety harness). He patiently and promptly answered all my many many questions, communicated clearly, helped me understand the choices of panels and inverters, handled the permits and communication with PG&E, redesigned the system when I changed my mind about how many panels I wanted, upgraded my electric panel, always showed up when he said he would. The roof panels are producing more electricity than we use, and with net metering, we currently have a credit of $127 with PG&E - and with the sunny days ahead, this credit will grow even larger. I feel good being a consumer and producer of renewable energy, and I am grateful to Wired into the Future for my fabulous rooftop system.
