Yippee! Finally, a professional, ""Get-R-Done"" company that knows their business.

I had a small job (concealing an electrical cord hanging from a TV). After researching and talking to people who made the job sound really big, not big enough $$, or who were just plain incompetent, I found Willow Glen Electric.

It was a flashback of what customer service use to be like, When I called, I spoke to a person who knew the competency of the company. I received a straight forward response, a reasonable quote, and two nice guys (Matt and Zeek) showed up a few hours later. Call it luck. I call it good ole' fashion service.

The gents were professional, personable and clean (so was their equipment). They accommodated all of my questions, explained what was being done and how, then they were done! No anxieties!

I doubt these guys are the least expensive alternative but they did quality work in a timely manner. They were professional and courteous.

My job was a simple addition of an outlet for a TV mounting. For complete disclosure, I gotta doc one star because I did not get a call back within a business day, but once we connected, we were able to schedule quickly. I would work with them again.

I had a great experience with Willow Glen Electric. I'll list below the highlights:

1 - Very prompt in returning my call (which was on a Sunday when they are closed). They called back Sunday night (not at all expected) and Monday AM.
2 - Scheduled a service call at 8AM and the guys arrived within a few minutes of the scheduled appointment.
3 - Everyone that I dealt with was very polite and professional
4 - Trouble shot my issue and corrected the problem quickly (an incorrectly wired GFCI plug was shutting down all power to the garage)
5 - They sent me a ""Thank You"" card in the mail with another copy of my paid invoice (you get a document before they leave which is the warranty, service performed and receipt in a contract form).

It turns out that they are a family owned business. The person I spoke to initially is the father and one of the gentlemen that came for the repair work is his son. Personally, I like supporting local family run establishments. Especially ones that care about customer service and their work. I will be using them again if I need more electrical work.

Giving an update for another round of great service by Willow Glen Electric.

As I said, I live in an old Willow Glen home so I'm hesitant doing anything pertaining to wiring myself. Even though my request wasn't one that would come with a big fee, WGE was there quickly and did the repair perfectly.

As always, the staff was extremely nice, and their continued dedication to their customers (no matter how small the job), is refreshing and appreciated.

I could not recommend them any higher!

We had a small in house electrical fire on Labor Day. First company that came out gave us an estimate that was double what Willow Glen Electric gave us. They called back when promised, showed up when they said they would, and completed all work on time. They best part was they took their time explaining what we needed to do immediately and what could be done at another time. 2 days of work and we feel safe now in our home. Thanks WGE, great job!

I just purchased a house and needed an electrician to come and look at a few of the weird and outdated wiring that came with the older house. My friend recommended Willow Glen Electric and I called them and made an appointment.

The contractor came out and was very friendly, helped me with exactly what I needed, and answered every question I had about the wiring, electric issues, and lighting.

I really don't like giving negative reviews, but this company warrants one.

I called this place for three days before anyone actually picked up the phone. When someone finally did, his phone skills couldn't have been ruder ~ annoyed and snapping was the tone I got, and that was just in the first ten seconds.

The person who answers the phone, regardless of rank, is always the first contact with a potential client, and therefore, the company's first impression; so whenever I come across a company with this kind of initial attitude, I don't even bother.

Cannot recommend.

More bad news...we had to have another electrician fix the switch that the recessed lights were controlled by. We noticed that the switch became hot whenever we turned on the lights. Turns out that Willow Glen electricians used a box that wasn't rated high enough for six recessed lights and causing it to overwork. The new electrician switch out the box pronto and the switch hasn't been hot since. He also discovered the double light switch was installed upside down and fixed that as well. Sorry, guys, NOT impressed.
