I requested a quote from wikiwiki for solar install, but when they heard it was to assess their quote against a competitors they wouldn't do it.

Darryl Vasquez their salesman said:

""Unfortunately, as much as I would like to work with you, I'm not a professional proposal provider. ""

..I'm assuming he meant that he does more than just writing a proposal, as writing a proposal is in fact part of a solar salesman's job, and I watched numerous other salesman do exactly that.

he went on to say:
""In my experience, clients that insist contractors provide proposals for ""one specific design"" without the contractor knowing all the facts, they're never happy with the outcome.""

So.. very much against my comparing his quote to others... Darryl was not content with giving the quote and then revisiting the design to validate. Giving the quote to show how he stacked up against others before moving forward would have taken all of 60 seconds of his time, tops-- as would telling me how his companies warranty worked. None of this is rocket science, and many people have had this exact same design.

Darryl insisted on a full sales pitch sitdown where we comb over every detail until HE is satisfied before he'd talk prices on anything. No respect for my time or my wishes. I'd already been through 3 of those with other companies and come to the same design with each. I've never had so much trouble with a salesman before-- and his rudeness was striking. Like buying a used car. I went with another company. I was able to get quotes from his competitors just fine-- no one else pulled this act. I was also able to zero in on the provider with the best warranty and price, and everyone else was eager to compete on both.

Wikiwiki Solar was our PV company of choice - they gave the most honest, frank and thorough estimate and bid for the rather large and complicated install, they patiently answered every question multiple times, gave us space when we needed it, but responded very very quickly. Everyone on the project was professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and created a well functioning team. They were great at dealing with the County and HECO, and left a tidy safe work site every evening. Seriously, I was a little nervous about this project and I know I could not have picked a better contractor in Hawaii. AND, Wikiwiki was excellent value for the $. Thank you Wikiwiki.

I have been a customer of Wikiwiki Solar and Electric for over five years. Now we just recently upgraded to include two additional solar panels in a new Tesla battery. As they did five years ago, the service has been excellent and very professional. I would highly recommend Wiki Wiki to any friends or family member.

I bought a home in 2022 that had PV and battery system installed by Wiki Wiki by the previous owner. The system is still covered under warranty. We have had periodic problems with the hardware and have called Wiki Wiki to fix. Customer service (Jandy) and techs have always been courteous and prompt. I recommend Wiki Wiki Solar and Electric as a reputable company.

My caveat is that you should check your PV performance routinely either through the HECO online dashboard or through the equipment manufacturer's app. Parts breakdown and if you don't stay on top of the performance you will be wasting the electrical savings.

Use a competent and responsive solar installation/repair company. I find Wiki Wiki to be just that kind of company.

What a great experience we had working with WikiWiki Solar & Electric to install our PV panels and Tesla Power wall. From day one when we initially contacted WikiWiki to the finished product, communication was excellent. Darryl and Jandy kept us informed on what to expect from start to finish. They handled everything, from building permits to utility agreements from Hawaiian Electric. The roofers who installed the PV panels were friendly and professional. The electricians, Mike and Daniel were awesome. Before, during and after the installation of the Power Wall, they patiently answered questions my wife and I had regarding the workings of the system. I highly recommend WikiWiki for your electrical related needs!

Wiki Wiki Solar installed the panels in 2020. We have no complaints about the employees or even the service. Our complaint is that our electric bill has barely changed from what it was pre solar.....and when it rains we have no hot water. This is not what we signed up for and if this cannot be fixed we will seek out a new solar company.

Have been very happy with the thoroughness of the quote; the installation went well and our electric bill dropped dramatically. When there was a problem with the software for the inverter it was diagnosed quickly and repaired quickly. So far, everything has been as advertised and we're delighted.

We first used WikiWiki solar a year ago for a 20 panel/battery storage system for our home in Kihei. We agreed on a time table for installation and they arrived on time with a full crew. The installation was completed in a timely fashion. Their crew was courteous, efficiently and work neatly.
Our system has worked efficiently as represented without the necessity of service calls.
When we decided to increase our solar capacity they had the equipment we required on hand and the installation was completed a week later.
We have recommended WikiWiki to our friends and neighbors and have heard only praise for their work.
