Chas and his son did some intense wiring work installing a new outlet for a new tv above our fireplace and for an outdoor ceiling fan. He explained the entire process so I was comfortable with what needed to be done. They were professional, clean, affordable, and on-time. It was great work, and I'm definitely calling him the next time I need electrical work.

After last year's power outage I decided to buy a generator. I hired an electrician to do the set up. Halfway into the job we began to question his work. That's when I contacted Westco Electric and spoke with Chas the owner. He and his son came out and checked the work thoroughly. Explaining in detail the process. Bottom line the work was good.
We had already paid the first guy so we will have him finish the job.
Chas charged nothing and wouldn't except payment for his time. I am so impressed with his knowledge that I will hire him for our next electrical needs! Can't thank him enough for his time!

We just had Westco out to do quite a bit of electrical work inside and outside our house, including: installing new motion detector lights around the perimeter of our home, repairing grounding issues throughout our house, replacing light fixtures, running new electricity throughout our garage, running electricity to our toolshed, repairing several broken outdoor outlets, and capping off some outlets where cabinets are about to be built in our den. Mr. West and his crew were very polite and professional and arrived as scheduled. (NOTE: I think the one-star review by someone who didn't even have any work done and is admittedly making assumptions about what MIGHT have happened is a bit ridiculous and vindictive, personally.) In regards to safety during the pandemic, Westco's crews were vigilantly masked whenever they were working inside or even speaking with me outside, which we greatly appreciated. Lastly, the pricing was competitive, and the final amount came in $600 below the quote, which shows a level of honesty by the owner that I rarely encounter in business.

I requested couple of quotes on Yelp and most of them charged 150+ for ONLY estimate. Chad came on time and gave us a free estimate. He charged us a reasonable and affordable price with wiring and electrical car charge. Most importantly, he is very responsive and explained us the know-how behind every step every time we had a problem. We will rehire him again!

I just purchased an older property here in Austin and I had some remodeling done. I wanted to put in some cool elegant looking light fixtures and I heard about Westco from a friend so I decided to give them a call. They were very helpful! I told Chas the owner what I was looking to do and he helped me find what I was looking for and gave me a quote for the job. The folks were supposed to be out this Tuesday and call us the Friday before to give us a time window.

On Monday we still had not received a call and I contacted them. I was told that they needed to reschedule me for Thursday.

Had I not called, I suppose they just would have been a ""no show"" the next day. I was informed, by I suppose Mr West) that he needed to stay on another job. He also asked for my address again (after I already provided it in a message when we agreed upon the Tuesday appointments).

Now I know things happen, but not calling to say they needed to reschedule the appointment AND misplacing my address is just too much. I told them that I had a bad feeling about how this was handled and I would find someone else.

No apology, just wished me good luck. This is a shame, because I had a really good feeling about this company. Now I'm back to square one to find a company to change out a breaker and install two dimmers.

Anyway, perhaps I dodged a bullet...who knows
