I have been using Westbrook Service for many years now. I continually have good experiences, and on the odd chance I don't get good service I find the office ready to help. On my last service which was a tankless water heater maintenance, Jay was incredibly efficient and professional. My equipment (both HVAC and plumbing) has been working well with the ongoing maintenance required.

we had Westbrook do a complete repiping of the house. Overall I have had much better experience with Westbrook in the past and not sure what the issue was this time.
On a positive note - Dante was spectacular. He was a fantastic technician, went above and beyond what we could have ever asked him to do - very impressed with his capabilities and extra care on our project. The second technician, Jay was very good - but did not stay for the third day of the project. Frankly that is probably where it fell apart for Westbrook. Dante showed up on time, ready to go - but he had no help until noon and this house really needed three technicians to finish. At the end, the project was rushed, a line was not crimped and we had a major break (outside) which caused some debris in the main line. We could not get pressure until the lines were redone under the house and by 10pm I was beat and very disappointed in the Westbrook service. If Dante is the technician, I am sure you would be fine - but caution on having this firm rush to the finish line without the quality checks that should have been accomplished.

Making an appointment was very difficult and the first one never showed up. We had to make many phone calls.
The Tech did a great job and we were pleased with the work. Westbrook installed our A/C system so we are staying with them on an annual contract.
NEED to improve your office staff and scheduling.

Westbrook replaced our entire A/C system in 2011. Since that time we have been hit with thousands of dollars in repairs for parts that keep failing in our top of the line Trane AC system. On average every 6 months my nice new AC breaks, I should have kept my old ancient system. The parts are under warranty but the repair costs are outrageous. As the repairs started mounting and I questioned the quality of work the Westbrook managers were very clear this is ""normal."" So if you agree it's normal to have a new $$$ AC system break every six months go with this company but if you want quality workmanship go some place else.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I needed a gas valve changed at my in-laws house. Their appointment last week was scheduled for 11am. They were 2 hours late and never called to give status as to what time they would be there. Then today they charged me $180 for 15 minutes of work to change a valve. The service guy was rude to my mother-in-law as well demanding she pay him before started on the work. If he would have read the service order he would have known to call me about the price in the first place. Awful. Will never contact them again for any of our properties.

To make a long Story short. I bought a new Gas range and needed a piece changed because it was outdated. I supplied the Westbrook Plumber with the installation kit that has all the parts to do the job. I explained to him what I need done and he swapped out the old piece from the line coming out the wall with a new one from the kit. Only to find out 2 days later when they came to bring the new range and hook it up, that the piece he put on there was the wrong connector!! The part that goes on there first was still in the bag!! Ergo a potential gas leek waiting to happen !!! Lucky for me the guy that delivered and hook up the range was able to fix it for me.
I called Westbrook and got now were, cause the person that answers the phone has to tell someone else that may or may not call you back hours later with no resolve. I emailed a picture of the faulty installment to the email adresse I was given and 4 weeks later, still no resolve. I payed $150 for a improper job that took the plumber 15 min. the most!!! Well needles to say I disputed the charge on my credit card. I have no high hopes of retrieving my Money, but I will definitely try!!
I should have check Yelp and the BBB for reviews before calling Westbrook. Lesson learned!!
Never again!!!

Terrible service! I made an appointment with them a week ahead of time for 9 am for a home we don't live in. I explained the whole situation and was assured someone would meet me at 9. Waited till 9:30-called to make sure someone was still coming. Was told there had been an emergency call and so they weren't sure when he would be out-he would call an hour before? Excuse me? Why did no one call me and respect my time? They couldn't have been more unapologetic. No big deal-you'll just lose my business and anybody else's who expects good service.

There is a part of me that wants to rip this company a new one. And, then, there is the grown-up pre-internet part that says ""if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"". PHOOEY.
I originally looked into this company because they did all the things I needed in my new house and I figured communication would be better because of that....no.
I had both plumbing and electrical work actually done and a quote for air conditioning installation. I did much of this via e-mail with their company....MISTAKE!!
Plumbing: The plumbing was done fine. He was an old school plumber...gave him a list and he accomplished what was on his list. What he got wrong was because of the incredibly POOR communication between Westbrook and their sub-contractors.
Electric: We, at first, thought the electric was fine...gave them a list and got it done. Except he didn't. The very first, most important (potentially life-threatening) thing on our list was ignored. I would, again, blame it on the poor Westbrook communication, except that we had discussed it with the actual electrician repeatedly. We, also, asked him to give us an idea on another issue with our home. He gave us a quote of $17K. In a follow-up conversation with a non-Westbrook contractor, it seems like the issue with that ""quote"" was actually not a thing. My internet research also seemed to indicate that that amount was RIDICULOUS. I have almost the same list I gave to these people originally to deal with. Fortunately, I have since learned my lesson.
And, then there was the A/C...when the a/c guy first swung by, he gave us a guesstimate of around $10k which seemed fair...it even would have seemed fair even if he bumped it up a couple thou when he actually started looking into it better. But, when his actual estimate wandered around, it was $24K!! My other other estimates ranged from $6K (who later said it should have been around $8K, but he stuck with his original bid) to $12K. So, really? $24K for a product which gets wishy-washy reviews and more than doubles everyone else's quotes? Really? I think not.
I don't know whether Westbrook is just inept or actually encourages their contractors to....we'll go with ....exaggerate, but I would run far and fast from them.

I recently encountered a situation were Westbrook was not as forthcoming and even after a multi yr service contract we employed another provider. Not over price but rather due to poor communication and a lack of trust.

They didn't diagnose the real issue until the 3rd visit within 4 days! Westbrook AC department was called out last Friday to service my AC (located in the attic) that had condensation so bad it ruined the drywall and insulation around it. They said they fixed the issue and suggested three parts be replaced. The unit was still leaking when the same serviceman came out to replace those recommended parts 4 days later. He said I was good to go and everything was fine. I had a handyman scheduled later that same day (yesterday) to fix the ceiling drywall and replace the attic insulation and when we pulled everything down to clean it up, he saw that the unit was still leaking. I called Westbrook back out and they sent a different guy who said there were holes in the pan. He said he had NO IDEA how his colleague missed this on the last two visits he was there - one of those visits being just 1-2 hours earlier! He told me the unit needed to be reinsulated & I needed a new pan for $700 but he highly recommended I just replace the unit. He said the pan would need to be ordered and its a pain and takes longer. He seemed to be really pushing for me to purchase a whole new unit so he did not have to bother with measuring the pan, etc. He offered no other suggestions or temporary fixes even just for the evening. I saw no choice but to replace the pan - as my ceiling is literally non-existent in the master bedroom right now. It's been almost 24 hours and no one has contacted me to get this work scheduled as promised. I have now been forced to go with a different company even though I purchased the maintenance program with Westbrook. I fully intend to be reimbursed for that so-called maintenance program and the parts that were replaced yesterday. The lack of competency has been unreal. A huge disappointment especially after the plumbing services from the same company has been more than helpful in the past!
