Don (and his helper Chris) are great at what they do. I wanted to install a small split system (for heating and cooling) in a back room. Other people that looked at it would not provide written estimates, did not show up on time and would not return calls. Don was on-time for the estimate appointment and the work. He communicated clearly, answered all of my questions and provided recommendations based on what I told him I wanted to achieve. When it came time to do the work, he was prompt, efficient and clean. Equally important, his prices are very reasonable. I am so happy to have found an electrician and HVAC company that I can trust. I will definitely call Don for any work I do in the future and I happily recommend West Hills Electric & HVAC.

I called West Hills Electric early this afternoon to get an estimate to relocate an outlet to accommodate a pocket door for a powder room as well as to combine 2 single dimmer switches that are nearly side by side into a single double gang box. Dan informed me that they were booked until next Friday but that he could come to my place in an hour so they could take a look and provide an estimate. I agreed to have them come out but I really was hoping to get this done by Monday or Tuesday next week.

Don showed up as promised (with Chris) and the first thing he asked was if they needed shoe covers. Wow, from my experience it is maybe 50-50 that vendors ask to remove shoes or wear shoe covers! In this case I let him know it wasn't necessary since I just started a remodel and already had paper taped to the floors but thanks for asking! Don took a look at the single dimmer switches and he explained that combining the two switches although appearing quite simple was not an easy job as there were studs in the way on both sides of one of the switches. His suggestion was to leave them as is, otherwise it would cost much more than I was willing to spend. Next, he took a look at the outlet. The wall was already opened up on one side so he could see where the wires were coming from. His suggestion was to add a junction box on the ceiling of the powder room where it would have a cover plate and not really be noticed then the outlet could be moved about a foot over, which is what I needed.

I thought the estimate provided was very reasonable so I agreed to have the work done. Don asked if I would be available on Monday morning (I couldn't because of work) or Monday around 2:00 PM. That early in the afternoon would still require me to take time off of work but since I wanted this done sooner rather than later (and they were doing their best to schedule this before Friday), I reluctantly agreed to early Monday afternoon. Don then asked Chris to check the truck to see if they had the parts they needed for this job. If so, he said they could knock it out right now, if I had the time. Really?!! Yeah, I have the time!! Chris checked and they had what they needed so boom!! they grabbed their stuff and started working away! Between the two of them they were neat, laying out blankets over the work area; quick but didn't rush; did a great job; cleaned up afterwards; very professional and extremely friendly and personable on top of that! Oh, and the job was done very nicely and to my satisfaction! What more can you ask for! I think I just found my go-to electrician!!

Love, love, love West Hills Electric. True professionals! Fast call back, easy getting an appointment for quote. And best of all the day they came to install a mini split air conditioner in my bedroom they were not only on time but were actually early!!!!! The work they did was PERFECT and Don is a doll! I can't praise them enough.

This is my first ever Yelp review, but I feel that West Hills warranted one. My parents passed, and I'm trying to ready their house for sale. I want to do this as cheaply as possible. I was having problems with the electric, so I decided to get a panel upgrade to bring it up to Code. I called several different electricians and set appointments. Although Don wasn't able to make our initial appointment -- which I completely understand -- he called, rescheduled, and arrived right on time.

Don was the least expensive of the three estimates I received. $700 less than one; $1000 less than the other. Since the parts will be the same for each electrician, I decided to go with West Hills.

We set our start date. Don was right on time, ready to work. The panel change was a two-day project. On the first day, Don suggested that he open the walls from the drywall side rather than the stucco side as much as possible as it would save me money when I had the walls redone. Thanks for that!!! After the first day's work, Don cleaned up beautifully. The patio was actually cleaner than when he started.

Second day, Don was on time, again. He finished the panel. We only had to go without power for about half an hour and everything was up and running perfectly. SCE wanted an outdoor wall plug removed, and Don did that for me free of charge. He left the patio area spotless. All he had left to do was put on a cap after SCE had come and done what they needed to do. When I let him know SCE had been, he was here within the hour to finish off the job.

I was extremely happy with Don and West Hills Electric. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He saved me money where he could. I would absolutely use him again and recommend him to anyone in need of an electrician. You won't go wrong if you choose West Hills.

I was referred to Don when I saw the mini splits they installed at my buddy's house. Don came out, quoted the job with 3 mini splits and finished the job on my house in blazing heat, on budget & AHEAD of schedule. Promised me job completion on saturday, and i was making snow balls & freezing my ass by Friday night. Can't be happier, these guys are the best.

Excellent service. Was looking for a local electrician to install an EV 240v Charger. Highly review from yelper got my attention.
Long story short, Don, came in right on time, and knows exactly what has to be done from the electrical panel to installation location. Wire tubing runs flawless and they clean up the mess. His quote was really reasonable.

We had Don (owner) install a Fujitsu ductless air conditioner/heater for two rooms at our home. This included installing the outside condenser, as well as requisite electrical upgrades. Don and Chris (his assistant) are prompt, courteous and neat. Don will explain things to your satisfaction and assure you that he is available for future troubleshooting or maintenance (if required). He has been trained in the installation of Fujitsu models and can recommend the size of unit to meet your a/c and heating requirements. We love our new ductless air conditioner units and are grateful Don installed them in time to combat the upcoming summer heat! Although we debated on getting central a/c instead, we decided the ductless system allowed us to focus energy on specific rooms rather than cooling the entire house. Sure will save us money on our electrical bill! We only wish we had done this years ago!

Were very prompt on giving estimate and followed up next morning to do the job. Installed/repaired outdoor receptacles and replaced few fuses in my main box at reasonable cost. Explained to me what they were doing and when/why had to add small charge for additional part to fix one of the outlets. Did few extra things that didn't charge me for which is always appreciated. Cleaned up well after the job.
