Ema K.Thank you so much for doing our job right in time for Thanksgiving. The great concrete work is getting admired by our neighbors and appreciate all the cleanup that you did for us. Your concrete guy was like a concrete whisperer. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for the great care in your work!
Best of the best. Hired to do concrete and this guy pulls up with an extra coffee for me like a champ . He was so nice and professional I knew I had no choice but to hire them , price was right and got the job done when he said he would with no delay , makes our house look a million times better , if you want to step up your house game make that call .
Ahmed H.John and his crew are the best! They did such a great job. In addition to execution, John had some great ideas we didn't even think about to make the space look better. I highly recommend them!
David S.John and the team at WE DO IT CUSTOM helped us completely transform our home! Initially hired John to redo my driveway but after an awesome job with the concrete work, we had him do much more such as installing iron doors from Pinky's , new smooth stucco installation, new entry way ceiling construction and light fixtures installation. He is a great communicator and delegates tasks to his team efficiently . Don't mickey mouse your project , go with a pro that won't rob your pockets! Thanks again John. My contractor for life!
I have not had the best of luck in the contractor dept. Thank you, We Do It Custom, for a great experience and changing up my contractor experience. Responsive, reasonable, takes care of business w/NO FUNNY BUSINESS...what more can you ask for. If you want great work at fair prices...your search should
stop here. Definitely will contact you for all of my future needs. THANKS AGAIN!!
Mandi S.We found this company on Yelp. John (the owner and contractor) gave us an estimate that was priced well. He answered all of our questions and was able to start and complete the job in a timely manner. We loved that John was knowledgeable, efficient, and had an eye for design. We were also very happy with the fact that he does all of the work along with his crew. We highly recommend John and his team for anyone looking to do concrete work. In a year and a half we will be starting work on the interior of our home and will be contacting John to help us with it. The man is funny and wonderful to work with.
I went with We Do It Custom to redo my front and backyard porches. I have complaints with the outcome of both projects. I'll start with the front porch first - 1. To this day I'm not 100% sure if the concrete installed has rebar as stated in my contract. On the day of the concrete pour after I questioned John about the rebar, he asked his worker if the concrete had rebar and the worker sheepishly replied, ""yes."" Makes me wonder if that's why a hairline crack appeared a couple of months later. 2. There was 2-4"" of exposed flashing that I was surprised that John was going to leave visible. After I complained, he cut it crookedly and left it exposed in some spots. Don't place your hand over it because you will get cut like he did when he tried cutting it down. 3. There is a gap between where the concrete meets with the house. I hired a contractor to place trim around my porch to somewhat remedy the eyesore. On to the backyard - 1. There were remnants of the previous porch after the new porch was installed (the ground was not smooth on the sides). John suggested using epoxy to fix the problem. It was obvious that he was unsure if that was the most effective solution so my husband and I suggested that he use a thin coat of concrete instead. The outcome was at best okay. 2. The concrete cracked on the steps about a month or so later. John decided to repair it by cutting the concrete along the crack line. Now I have a line in the middle of my backyard step. The line would have been longer if my husband hadn't noticed and stopped him in the process.
So, for what I paid, I should not have had to hire a contractor to go behind his work. The workers appeared more knowledgeable and paid more attention to detail than John the Contractor.
John responded to my project quickly and worked me into his busy schedule. His prices are reasonable and well worth it based on the work he did, which was to build a 12' x 14' bed of concrete in the backyard.
While there was one hiccup, John worked around the hiccup and figured out a way to get the work done. I would definitely call John again in any future projects.
John and his team are the best of the best. He consistently stepped up throughout several months of work on our property, even undertaking an additional part of the work that a separate contractor had previously botched. He is trustworthy, kind, communicative and skilled- I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
Mark P.Our relatively small cement project involved filling in three former garden plots along an adjacent sidewalk that we no longer needed. In preparation for the work I disconnected the irrigation feeding the areas as there would no longer be any need to water the area which was also causing undesirable soil erosion. So I called John at WE DO IT CUSTOM after reading positive online customer reviews. We discussed the work over the phone and after texting John some photos he gave me a verbal cost estimate. John informed me that although his schedule was currently busy he would be able to fit me in. John and his assistant Andreas arrived a few days later exactly on time to set up then complete this half-day project. Before beginning John explained exactly what he was going to do, how long it would take, answered all my questions, and invited me to examine and contribute to the final surface appearance. John had excellent communication skills, was punctual, friendly, and professional. End result I am completely satisfied with the integrity, honesty, and quality work of WE DO IT CUSTOM and look forward to future projects around the house that John said he would be able to do.
