We've used Way's Electric three times on our pool project to correct and complete another company's work. Robert was great! he definitely has years of experience and gets the job done. Pricing was very fair compared to other estimates received for the same work. The staff has always been polite when I've made appointments. I highly recommend this company!

Matt was super helpful during a recent visit. We had two new outlets installed. Not only did he complete this request, but he fixed the mistakes made by the last company. He was up front about costs and when new challenges were ID'd he had helpful suggestions for how to address them simply and affordably. He clearly knows his stuff. I will be requesting his services should we need any more electrical work done in the future. Great experience.

The people working for this company are nice but my experience left me feeling as though I was cheated. My two outside electrical outlets were out and needed repair in time for a party I was hosting. I called Ways because I had gotten an estimate from them last year for can lighting but ended up going with another company which is great but they were booked up and could not come out for a few more days so I called Ways.

Robert, the electrician was on time, nice and explained to me the service fee. He then proceeded to my garage and punched the GFI outlet and the problem resolved. In and out in less than 5 minutes. The low rating is not because of the service but because I feel as though this company could have asked qualifying questions or even let me know what I could have done myself to fix the problem rather than charging me $150 for pressing a button. I appreciate companies who try to build relationships rather than try to get the most for the least. I agreed to the price and basically got what I paid for but will NEVER call this company back nor will I recommend them to friends or colleagues. The experience just left me with a bad feeling.

Do NOT use. The techs and receptionist were very polite and got my electricity working. However, the first price they gave me was $289. I think it was fairly apparent to the techs early on that the issue was that we hadn't turned another switch that needed to be flipped on the breaker which wasn't marked before the breaker switches to the rooms. After probably figuring out what the problem was, they proceeded to check through outlets to see if there might be further issues. They told me they were done and I asked what had been the issue. They then had to explain that it was just that the breaker hadn't been turned on properly. I then asked would it still be $289. He said that he could maybe knock 10% off to make me feel better. I didn't necessarily argue, but made it clear that I didn't find it appropriate for them to still charge me close to $300 for turning on the breakers. To the techs credit, he offered to call the front office and negotiated that they charge $189. I appreciated that the tech did this, however when something similar happened with an air-conditioning unit upstairs, the ac company only charged me $75 for the house call as it was really as simple as my breakers weren't appropriately labeled and it was as simple for them as flipping a switch. When things like that happen and tech (and the company) knows that it's a REALLY simple issue, I expect them to explain quickly, without me asking, and to explain to me how to avoid the issue again if it's something I can fix at the breaker. And I also expect them not to necessarily try to look for new problems (that probably aren't there) when they kind of already know what the issue is and that it's fixed. It's nothing personal with anyone that I interacted with, as I felt it was a company practice and culture issue, but all in all, I felt that the price was extremely inflated for the services provided and that the interaction lacked the transparency of honest business.

Shane did a great job on some basement work and running an outlet in my vaulted room. He knocked out the job in a timely manner, showed up to the appointment on-time and extremely courteous to us as my wife works from a home office and not interruptions to the power. Way's provides professional service and reasonable pricing. Thanks!.

My fiancé called Way's to get an estimate on some very simple electrical need for our townhouse. He was quite almost $1000 without any real reasoning and was told some work (""reconditioning"" ) needed to be done. Thankfully, he has several contractors in his family and they were able to tell us it was basically a rip off. We ended up getting the work done elsewhere for about $300, and definitely didn't need the ""reconditioning"". NOT using Way's saved us over $600.

I can do most small jobs myself, but I used this company for a larger job. The quality was professional and the electrician's speed was outstanding (now, I only have my personal speed to gauge this by)

Estimate May Be Free, but Nothing Else

It was time to replace my front doorbell due to time & weather. There was no problem with the bell itself, it was just an aesthetic thing. I found Way's Electric through Yelp. I live in a nice neighborhood and had bad experiences with other subcontractors trying to gouge me.

My Way's Electrician showed up several hours before expected. He called me and I said I was on my way. We agreed since it was the front doorbell, he could take a look and call me back with the estimate.

A Way's Electric rep called me to let me know my estimate was over $450.00! Then she said she would break it down and email an invoice to me (which never happened). She admitted the doorbell part only cost $90.00 & electrician was estimating 3hrs of work time for a bell that works. She then explained their standard service charge:

$125.00 for 1st hr
$85.00/hr after hr1

Then, she gave me another figure of $385.00 and blamed the electrician for ""bad math"".

I get that people have to make a living, but this type of carelessness offends me. I wish plumbers, painters, electricians, etc., would just be fair. Don't they understand that when you are fair and do good work chances are people will keep calling you back and refer their friends? I have a painter who has probably painted my whole house 2x's over and who I have recommended to everyone.

I choose this company based on its reviews alone and I'm glad I did. The technician that came to my home was Chris he was professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. He gave us a great quote and was able to complete the job within the same day (needed to install outdoor light fixtures and flood lights). I will definitely use this company again for any of my electrical needs.
