Walter's Electric is amazing. We needed a fairly big job done. They came in to do an assessment, and right away scheduled to do the work ASAP. Everyone, from the workers to the owners, were very efficient, friendly, and very well coordinated. We couldn't be more pleased with the work they have done in such a short time, especially during the pandemic. They are highly recommended!

I am sorry it took 4 years to post a review. We purchased our Photovoltaic System from Kaimi Chung. He was most professional, very knowledgeable and answered our questions and concerns patiently. La'akea's electrical crew were friendly and professional. They did a great job with installation.
With the recent storms, blackouts etc. We had a problem with our PV system communicating to our internet. Called David (La'akea Elec.) and he so patiently walked me through the PV/communication process step by step. It took about an hour and David stayed with me on the phone till it was done.
Called David back after about another hour and our system was ""communicating!"" Success!
SO 4 years later it is wonderful to know that La'akea is still with us and was able to solve our issues! I would not hesitate to hire them for our every electrical needs!!

I recently hired Walters to rewire my old 1940s home. The house was a mess when I purchased it and nothing was safe or working well. I got bids from another company, but once I met Kaimi he immediately seemed much more knowledgeable and competent. His bid was also slightly lower. The entire process was fantastic--the estimate was detailed, the crew showed up when they were supposed to and did excellent work. This company was a pleasure to do business with and I will not hesitate to hire them again in the future. This was a very expensive purchase for me, and I am very pleased with how things turned out.

We were impressed with Grant's knowledge of PV systems and were confident we were making the right decision with the company. Grant made the process of getting our system installed easy. He followed-through with an expected timeline, kept us informed of HECO delays, gave tips for HECO's approval process, and was on-site on the day of installation. He also took time to make sure dead wires on our home were eliminated, and the monitoring system would be working... that made me so HAPPY! We made the right decision! It took a year, but it happened because of Grant's excellent customer service. The staff on-site and in the office are all helpful too! Thank you so very much!

I was very impressed with La'akea Solar Technology (AKA Walter's Electric) proposals, work, and timing. I interviewed 4 known PV solar installers in April 2014 and La'akea provided excellent knowledge of their system, electrical systems, and permitting. The project manager, Kai LauKong kept in touch to make sure I understood the processing. Their panel product was fine (Solar World 265 w), not necessarily the most powerful or most efficient, but with good reputation and warranty. I also liked their Enphase micro-inverter system (as compared to the central systems). Among the 4 contractors (which I selected based on commentary and friends), they had coincidentally the lowest price but what was somewhat surprising was that La'akea was the only one that did not require 50% payment shortly after contract signing. I signed on May 2, they essentially installed on Jun 25, the PV was working on Jul 22, and the NEM meter was installed on Aug 1 by HECO - I paid in full on Jul 29 and the complete system was working in only 3 months! Highly recommend this company for their performance and reliability - they have been in business a long time as an electrical contractor and handle all work (except for HECO) in-house and hence are expected to service any product or installation issues.

I found Walters on Yelp, I needed an electrician to install two external plugs for Fujitsu ductless airconditioning units. After getting a bid from another outfit that I knew was too high, I contacted Kaimi W. Chung of Walters Electric. Although he is a busy guy, he arranged to check out my job the very next day, gave me a bid on the spot (significantly below the other guy) because he knew exactly what I needed, advised me on my photovoltaic cell setup (I didn't know how to read the digital display), and in other ways treated me like a valuable longtime customer and not a brand-new customer. His men came on schedule and did a beautiful job. I can see why Walters Electric has all five-star reviews.
