I wish I had taken the reviews/warnings on Thumbtack more seriously... but I was in desperate need of an electrician in a timely manner and Adam was the 2nd to respond and gave the better quote for the job. Clearly some clients have great experiences with Adam, but sadly I can't say that I am one of them.

He installed a new and larger electrical panel and he did not call PG&E to confirm with them that we would want more power. What is the point of getting a new box installed if there is not enough power running to our house? Then he was meant to hookup our new hot tub, and that is where the lack of communication occurred...

Clearly poor communication and ""ghosting"" is a major issue, as it is the main complaint from his customers.
I text him to make sure and confirm we were on for our scheduled date for the hot tub hookup and I asked him a couple of times (the day before and the morning of the job) when he would be arriving, or even just a window for arrival and he simply said ""Let me check with my coworker"" and then I never heard from him again. I then hired another electrician to come out, because I needed to be somewhere by 2pm and could not wait around any longer.
Of course his colleague then shows up around the time the new electrician showed up and seemed surprised when I told him to not move forward, since I had gone with someone else due to lack of communication. I felt bad for the colleague, but what was I to do? I then tried to call and text with Adam about the matter and total silence...

Ultimately, his poor communication cost us a lot of unnecessary money, wasted time and ultimately we had to hire a new electrician. If I were his colleague I would be irked.
I am glad we went with another electrician, as we found out that the portion of the job that Adam and his team had done, were done incorrectly. He did not even have the correct amp for our hot tub, even after we sent him our hot tub specs. The amp he installed would have overrun our electricity and the other electrician suspects he installed this one either out of negligence or greed.

He is licensed, but not bonded and he is a terrible communicator, so just be aware... He will also avoid sending you an invoice (I have asked twice) he just texts you random $ numbers... red flag.

I feel like so many people are being ripped off these days and everything is so outrageously expensive, so just be careful and know that not everyone has integrity.

Adam agreed to help us with some much needed repairs to our kitchen wiring. We agreed on a day and reworked our schedule to accommodate him. He ghosted us on the day without as much as a text or call. We hope he's ok! But if you need reliability we can't vouch for that.

Walsh Electric was responsive, friendly, professional, and charged a reasonable price. We needed a light switch replaced and had an overhead light that wasn't turning on. Once we figured out scheduling, Adam was able to trace the issue to a damaged wire in the wall, and they rewired the light, even relocating the switch for us in the process.

I suggest finding another electrician that takes more time to avoid unnecessary patching and returns to fix something if it wasn't done correctly.

This job could have been done better requiring less patching and the TV mount should have been installed level or corrected when I asked Adam to fix it. I didn't have the TV at the time of install, but it's clearly off.

For the holes, I was told they had someone I could call to patch the walls but follow up texts were ignored, never provided the contact. I'll need to reinstall the Tv mount now since it isn't level.

See the pictures and decide if you want any to fix up their work or hire someone else for over $300/hour.

Adam got us set up with an outlet in our garage for our electric car. I really appreciated his fast response, availability and fair price. It was a bit of a complicated project to find where to pull the electrical through from the panel through walls to the garage, and Adam assessed it quickly and executed a solution that worked great.

Adam was very responsive to our initial inquiry and within a week was able to repair some old conduit and wiring that was a fire hazard. We had several options for the solution, and given that we are doing a remodel within a year focused on the most immediate need, and Adam came up with a reasonable recommendation for us.
