Jeff Wade helped us with extensive electrical work on a home we just moved into. He helped ground all outlets, rewired our electrical such that all outlets and switches work seamlessly and installed ceiling can lights throughout the entire home. The work he did was excellent, he helped guide me on lighting placement and the types of can fixtures to use. He is extremely easy to work with and dependable. Lastly, Danielle is a superb office manager who is attentive, professional and always nice to chat with. I highly recommend this business for your next project!

When we bought a home in Willow Glen (1922) it needed the electrics upgraded and made completely safe inside and out. A friend recommended this company. Don and Jeff came to assess the jobs and completed all the necessary work in a timely and efficient manner.
Since then anytime we need any upgrades to enhance our property inside and out I call Don and Jeff. I trust them with electrics in my home.
They are a family run, reliable, professional company.

As we started it was great. I sent him my drawing to be prepared. Don, the owner scheduled an appointment and all was good. He arrived and we walked the house and he took good notes to quote the job.

As we ended, things turned sideways. We kidded a bit about his bid. He said, ""you will pay for the work"" and I said that is fine then he said ""I have to compete with the Chinese people and they just want to Jew me down.""

Well, I am Jewish and I took great offense to this comment. The kicker is that the person who referred me to Wade electric is also Jewish! I guess Don Wade has paid full price for everything he has ever paid for since he doesn't like to be negotiated with on price. I bet not!

As it turns out, his bid is extremely high. For example, $250 to run one outlet! Unless his wire, outlet and box is made out of gold or it takes 2 hours to run the wire 10 ft, this guy is crazy! I will not and would not recommend this anti-Semitic old man or his company!

I had similar experience as others , Don Wade sent an electrician, fixed the open circuit. The electrician left. Power was on now but my alarm system was beeping due to setting changed while power was off. I immediately called back electrician thinking that the it was not getting power but the problem was setting of home alarm system. In spite of his two trips to my home it was less than hour.
I received bill of $349 dollars as they charged me for two hours. When i tried to talk to Mr Wade about the charge, he was rude and unreasonable and his explanation about bill was that I have to pay for electrician travel time too......If they take two hours to reach client's home they bill for that too. my house is 15 minutes away from the company location...

I am sure you can get good service and reasonable rate like $90 per hour in market. I am never calling Don wade electric company. This is complete rip off. If they are not reasonable in pricing pretty soon their business is going to suffer.

I am a real estate broker and refer Don Wade Electric Company whenever I get the chance. My father is also in real estate and has been referring Don Wade Electric Company for over 15 years.

Jeff Wade is FANTASTIC and really knows his stuff. He works on my entire family's personal residences and always does a great job. Jeff has been able to diagnose/fix problems that other electricians had no idea what to do with.

Is Don Wade Electric Company cheap? No they are not. But you get what you pay for and in the long run it saves you money to get things done properly to begin with. I also sleep better at night knowing that my electrical work is done correctly and my family is safe!

I have used Don Wade for many, many years and referred many friends to his company without hesitation.
From my memory, the $195 is for the first hour of work. If you have one outlet to change, it's $195 plus parts. If you decide to have 3 more done as well and it can all be done in the hour, it's $195 plus parts. I can't imagine anyone having an electrician come out and not ask the cost first. Neither Don nor Jeff stand around chit-chatting about the weather as my rate per hour keeps ticking away.

I am scheduling a lot of electrical work at my house in the next couple of days and will only use Don Wade Electrical.

I am a real estate agent, and whenever one of my clients needs electrician Don Wade is the first company I recommend. Their work is excellent, they are fast, and they charge a reasonable rate. I have used them hundreds of times over the last 15 years and they have always played it strait with me. Cannot recommend them enough.

Way too prices. Average electrician hourly rate ~$90, they charge $125 and there is no difference on how difficult or simple the job is.

I bet you can find better electrician with lower rate on HomeAdvisor or similar website.

Similar situation as Karen stated below, Mr Wade sent in electrician, switched the plug, light on and he left in 20min. next thing is $195 bill. When i tried to talk to Mr Wade about the charge, he is rude and unreasonable.

i said his charge is too high for 20min stopping by, and Mr Wade responded that i must pay for his service or he will send a professional collector.

is this a Mafia threatening message?

in addition, they didn't mention about their rate at all when we contact them and how can they be HOA recommended electrician?!!!
