Had outdoor electric work done 2 years ago. It pops now and is unusable. I was told GFCI could be the issue and it would be $150, but that was not the issue. Basically... they do not warranty their work and now I have to find someone else who is reliable to fix this mess.

Very reliable and responsible contractor. I had a difficult to diagnose electric issue, and the owner, Jim, showed personal interest in getting it resolved . All problems resolved correctly!

I contracted W.A.V Electrical Services to assess my cabin's patchwork of electrical wiring and make a recommendation for updating the overall system. I felt their estimate was fair for the detailed work involved. On the first day of a 1-week project we walked the cabin together with me to discuss the details of how to best address both the aesthetics and practical rewiring alternatives.
The crew was prompt, notifying me their arrival eta and were professional and polite on-site with good communications with me.
They completed the work on-time and returned as scheduled the following week as planned to complete a wireless smoke detector install that the parts were not available originally.
I recommend W.A.V. for your next project.

I don't know what this business is or what kind of work they do. I just know whoever owns the truck with the business' name plastered all over it should probably drive a little more carefully on the road. They cut me off so close I would've rear-ended them if my reflexes weren't quicker. I proceeded to watch them ride someone's bumper for miles before very angrily (& very dangerously) pulling around them & cutting them off as well. If you care about the reputation of your business at all, I'd let someone else drive the company car or get the name removed ASAP. The lightning wrap you have is super ugly anyway. I should be charging you for this advice. I will never be your customer now. Change your driving before you lose every potential customer. Seneca's a small town.

I hired W.A.V.Electrical Services on August 3rd to come take down 4 exterior lights ( one pendant, 3 wall lights, the Allen + Roth Castine series rubbed bronze seeded glass collection, 2 years old and still in great condition- still being sold at Lowe's for $100 each) and had them replace them with arts and crafts style lights. The lights that they removed- more of a traditional style- I planned to re purpose at another location. Not only did they take those 4 lights without my permission, but they also removed 2 more that were sitting inside my garage on the floor that we had already removed ourselves.
When I brought this to the attention of Jim Dougherty, the owner, on August 6th, he replied on that same day that he would get them back to me. I had a second service appointment scheduled with them for August 21st. Apart from removing my lights without my permission, they had done decent work. During the next 2 weeks I had asked him for an estimate for the work to be done that his electrician, Scott, and I had talked about for the 21st (cost of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, electrical wiring for our dock...) and again, when my lights would be returned. No communication.
On August 19th, I cancelled my appointment due to Jim's lack of correspondence and asked again for the return of my lights. He wrote me back on that same day stating that they were going to bring my lights back during my scheduled appointment on the 21st, and that they would still bring them back to me that Friday. No lights came my way.
I again emailed Jim on the 23rd stating that my lights had not been returned, and that I expected them to be returned ASAP in good condition by August 28th or for him to compensate me in a different way.
Now it is August 31st- No lights. No compensation. No communication. 6 beautiful lights in good condition including 2 that they did not take down, but were just in my garage- gone. Now I consider them stolen.
And, yes, I am considering further action. Be aware of this company.
