We called around 4 electricians and handymen on the Big Island, and VP Electric was the only company who wad able to reach my 20ft bolted ceiling to replace an old ceiling fan with a new one. Also they provided me with a comprehensive estimate upfront, scheduled a time & date right then.

They are experienced, and I can tell that they've done this many times. Very skilled, thorough, confident and efficient. Careful with our walls, floors and furniture with a huge, 250lb 16ft step ladder and they did an amazing job replacing a very high ceiling fan. I was glad to have VP Electric handle this difficult job. I also really appreciate them showing up on the promised day and right on time. VP is a company that you can trust!

Had a circuit ""die"" which hubby couldn't debug. Called VP Electric late in day, John called back first thing next day, had service tech in the vicinity and he arrived in 15min. Hayden quickly resolved the problem. Great company, Kevin is a top-notch technician. Could not be more pleased.

I was having breaker box & outlet issues, and VP Electric got back to me immediately. They gave me an appointment time that was within a couple days and were able to fix everything. Cost was very reasonable and they were pleasant and thorough. This will be my go to company for electrical issues as long as I'm on Big Island. Mahalo guys!

We are extremely pleased with VP Electric service. They solved a complex problem of installing 50 amp service so we could have a new induction cooktop, arrived right on time as scheduled and -- fortunately for us -- actually completed the work in less time than estimated so bill was pleasantly below what John had at first guess-timated. We'll definitely call upon them for future electrical work.

I needed 3 floor boxes in my living room so called VP Electric. John responded to my call and we scheduled an appointment. Chad and Tyler visited and installed the floor boxes I didn't like the look so ordered what I liked and Chad and Tyler reinstalled for me. Their service, mannerism courteousness was brilliant. They are my go to electricians now and in my phone contact list.

One day before his schedule he changed his rate and never showed up. Don't even trust this guy.
He sent a long msg saying he is new and don't have reviews. I thought to give a chance but last minute he called up and said price increased and then never showed up. Don't even trust this guy

Chris showed up promptly as scheduled. He was respectful of our place and removed his shoes before starting job. We had 2 projects for him and he was able to analyze the situation and complete both task in about 2 hours. Chris took time to make sure our kitchen island hanging light were matching lengths, as they were on adjustable cords and showed us how to make minor adjustments if needed in the future. He was professional and skilled with his craft. We would definitely hire him again.
