Matt's crew has been back to my house several times since my initial review. I had them back to ground all the plugs in our house, install a ceiling fan and track lighting on an open beam ceiling. The crew was very easy to communicate with. They found a way to get to some of the awkwardly located outlets in our split level house, found a way to run track lighting and install a ceiling fan on our previously un-wired open beam ceiling. Great service and high quality work.

Fast, clean, efficient work. I wouldn't call them cheap, but the fee charged was exactly what I agreed to over the phone (flat rate 2 hour diagnostic). I had some overhead lights that stopped working and I couldn't find the source of the problem. Turns out one of the lights that was still working was the cause. Took the tech a little bit of time (about 45 minutes) to track down the source - poor wiring job (i.e. loose) and a non-insulated fixture with a bulb that was too hot. I had a spare light and he installed it without an extra charge.

When I update my kitchen, I'll probably have to change out my breaker panel and have new outlets run. I might go with them on this new project, however their hourly rate is about $10 bucks higher than some other companies I contacted.

With that being said, I did go with Voltz due to their ratings on Yelp, plus the fact that they actually answered the phone when I called. For resolving a possible fire hazard, I decided the extra $20 bucks was worth it for a highly rated company.

Wow! These guys are great! Initially, I was going to give Voltz a so-so review for my first experience with them last week. I was happy that Mike, the technician, was efficient and quick so that wasn't the problem. To make a long story short....it was related to the bill for the work done.

So I decided rather than writing a mediocre review and being upset, I called the company. I spoke to James and explained how I felt. He quickly called the owner, Matt, and called me back in minutes. James told me that he was refunding me the difference from the original quote that was given to me over the phone. He not only gave me the refund, but he also drove over and hand-delivered it to me the same day! (in 2 hours)

I was really impressed! Voltz really cares about their customers. They didn't blow off my complaint, take my money and call it a day. Now I feel confident that I found a truly honest and reputable electrical company. In the past, i had a bad experience with one where we had spent $$$$ for our new home and since then, had never used their services again.

How well James handled my concern promptly and professionally has redeemed my belief that not all electrical companies are ""shady."" Voltz seems to stand by their word and the happiness of their customers. I will not hesitant to call them again for future services!

I can't say enough great things about the Voltz team! They were on-time, reasonably priced (I'm not sure you really want to go with the cheapest electrician), and always took the extra step to make sure our electrical was safe!

I am a Realtor and this company rewired some outlets and GFIs in a house I was selling. They were couteous, on-time, and did a good job. Later I used them fort a second job, and I had to cancel at the last minute. They were also courteous about that too, when they would have been quite justified to be miffed. So I will use them again.

Came in for an inspection on a home we just bought, that had shotty wiring. They fixed a few small issues the same day as the inspection, then came back a few weeks later with a two-man crew to tackle the bulk of the problems. They were in and out before lunch time. They were great; they worked fast enough and quiet enough that my children had no idea they were even there. The two guys who came out were very knowledgable and even replaced a few cover plates for me that I didn't even notice were missing. They also replaced some outlets that were broken too. Awesome work. I'm not longer afraid of an electrical fire starting in my attic because I know they did the job right. We will definitely call them in the future for electrical needs.

I added one star to my previous four star review of Voltz Electric for the replacement of my hanging light. In my previous review, I wrote that Voltz did excellent work but were a bit expensive. After reading my review, the owner, Matt, called and offered to reimburse me in full. This was a pleasant surprise and restored my faith in good customer service. He explained that the price should have been adjusted since the job took less time than expected. I did not take him up on his offer of a full reimbursement since the Voltz workers did an excellent job. Instead, we agreed to a $50 rebate, putting the final price of the job at the low end of their initial estimate.

I would definitely call Voltz again for electrical work. Matt, the owner, demonstrated to me that he listens to his customers and wants to provide good service at a fair price.

I had an awful experience with an electrician my home warranty company sent me to, so I looked up on Yelp to find someone who could come out ASAP and fix an issue with my dryer outlet. The first electrician company (with deservedly horrible Yelp reviews) looked at some stuff, but said he needed authorization to open up my wall to investigate. So, he'd have to come back later once that was authorized. That of course never happened, and turned out to be completely wrong.

I called Voltz, and they had someone in the area and got Mike & James out to my door in less than 30 minutes!! I'd spent more time on hold with the previous company than I did waiting for actual competent electricians to show up at my house. They diagnosed the problem as the breaker switch was not fully flipped off before it was flipped back on (it was a hard switch to flip but obviously not something that required opening up the wall!) -- which the 1st guy completely missed. While they were here, I had them do some other minor tweaks and give estimates and recommendations on more substantial changes I wanted done. All of this seems reasonably priced, and Mike and James were incredibly nice. I'll be calling Voltz again!

Starting up a new business is not easy to say the least.

Getting a new business up and running requires lots of calling around, talking with numerous people throughout the day from companies A-Z. For the last month my phone has been glued to my ear. Stress levels high? Yes.

I called Voltz Electric and their secretary picked up the phone, my first thought, YES! Someone picked up!
She was very diligent about getting me to speak with Matt, who would be managing my project. I was VERY pleased to get such a quick response! I was set up with an appointment that very day. That is what I like when I'm on a serious timeline.

My project: I needed 3 sub-panels connected to the main breaker in the building, a 2 day project. In my world, that is big contractor work.

On such a large project, before I hired Matt I got two quotes. I am the kind of person who cares about what kind of person I will be doing business with, and it is not all about money (but for practicality purposes it does matter, which is why I looked for two quotes). I chose Matt because the price was competitive, but more importantly A. He had great yelp reviews, B. My experience in dealing with them was hassle free, and C. After I met him, he pretty much had the job in the bag.

Since I don't know much about electrical work and am not an electrician, I trusted my own personal judgement on the ""vibes"" I got from Matt (sounds cheesy, but I am a believer in these things and have quite good luck with it), who as far as I can tell seems personable, honest, and straight forward. He answered my phone calls on point whenever I had questions and was really quick to respond to my text messages. Not only was my experience hassle free, but the job was done perfectly as Matt planned, AND done exactly on schedule as planned. Very on point.

I also like having confidence in the work I hire; Voltz Electric gave me a 5-year warranty on the work they did for me. Sweet!

One big check off my list of things to do.
