I had an emergency situation with my breaker box shutting off my electricity Everytime I cooked and ran my dryer. Hector from Voltex came out and checked everything out thoroughly. He explained my power was overloaded a.d my wires were burning, very dangerous. He explained the process, all the agencies and city involvement, estimate of cost and time. He pushed it threw as an emergency and within a month the work was complete and passed all inspections. He would keep everything cleaned up and was very respectful. Huge shout out to Hector! I reached out through Yelp in search of an electrician to get a quote for wired security camera installation, outdoor outlet (for holiday lights), garage outlet, closet outlet, bathroom outlet, recessed outlet for a tv, and 4 ceiling light installation. Hector immediately responded back. But unlike most of the electricians where I received quotes via text without seeing the house/ project requested, Hector came out and inspected the requested project and explained exactly what would be needed/ happen during the work. He was very flexible with scheduling and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them, and would use them again for any future electrical work.

I requested a camera with floodlight installation. The project turned into a new circuit with a new electric receptacle, camera with floodlight and a number of feet in pipe installation. It was all worth it. I thank Hector for his quick response and quick-to-action when it came to the project. I believe the price was fair, 380, but maybe other yelpers can chime in to agree or disagree.

Day of the quote, Hector was right on time, in fact should up earlier. I explained the project and he gave his professional opinion, which I valued. We set a time and date. Day of the project, hector was approximately 30-40 minutes late, but responsive via texted even when he was 10 minutes out. It was neither her nor their. If you value your time, give your project an hour on the front end and on the back end.

Regarding the project, I would have appreciated a start time and end time of the project an a bit more explanation on the work being done. I had done my research and understood, for the most part, what would be done and what terms were used to explain the project but the walked through day-of seemed rushed. If you value being informed, I suppose you have to be extremely direct with the electrician. I also got the sense, that Hector is only there to do that specific job/project you have. If you mention any other electrical related job or potential project, you will be met with ""you will have to do x or y (insert electrical term)"" as if you have a clue about electrical. From a business standpoint, I would capitalize on this and ask the client if they would like to add it as a separate service/job and give the quote, after all how long can it take if you do this day in and day out, but I digress, I'm not an electrician. Back to the project;

I checked in a few times, progress was being made, and finally the project was done. When the job was done, I asked for a receipt or a quote so I have a notion on what was used as far as parts and labor but was asked to send him a text requesting that information followed by an incoherent reason for not providing one, what does that mean Hector? Again putting it on the client to figure it out and again, I digress.

Regardless, the job is done and I am pleased with it.

I recommend this company if you do not mind any of the aforementioned.
