David V.Jonathan from Veteran Electric did a great job. Answered all questions I had, made sure I know exactly how to switch over to my generator when needed.
After the install was complete and we were testing everything our 220v dryer wouldn't come on. Was only getting power to 1 leg. He pulled the breaker, put it back in and the dryer worked, however since it should have worked the first time he opted to just change out the breaker for another just in case. He also used a label printer to label the breakers instead of hand writing, I really liked that. and the wiring is all nice and neat now. I ran my generator to power fans, the refrigerator, and the freezer and it worked like a champ. With the transfer switch added (below and to the right of the breaker panel, whenever we lose power I can simply plug the generator right in and power the entire house including the AC. I also had a double outlet added, since we move here the only outlet I could use for the freezer and my work bench is on the ceiling (yeah, go figure).
Ignore the rough looking drywall patch, I haven't sanded it yet.
He started at 9:30 am and finished by 2pm.
Generator repair, tech Vince was fantastic very knowlegeable, explained problem with a variety of solutions, checked for recall wiring issue for my generac, they are went above and beyond, would recommend these guy are true pros at what they do,five stars in my book.
And then their poor excuse. Yes they offered to rewrite the quote but they cleat said wete busy and we'll get. Acknowledge to you whenever we choose! Buyer beware!
Russell T.I needed a connection to hook up my portable generator directly to my home. I'm glad I called Veteran Electric. When I scheduled the service, I had to send photos of my generator, main circuit box, and exterior wall opposite of the box. They came back with a fair quote. The service was scheduled a month out, but that's expected in the middle of hurricane season.
When Doc got here, he was courteous and professional. He finished the job in about an hour, then explained the process and answered my questions. The sticker with instructions are a big help. When I paid, it was what the original quote was for... no upselling or additional charges.
Definitely recommend!
They came out to give me an estimate. Larry (my technician) was EXTREMELY pleasant and amazingly helpful. I had another electrician come out to do some work prior to him and it appears that he preyed on a female only household and charged us for horribly done work. Larry was super empathetic and helpful. I would definitely give them my business. Veteran Electric, if you read these reviews, Larry is an absolute treasure!
Veteran Electric has gained a new loyal customer. Vince (the owner) came and fixed my generator when most electricians have waiting list for repairs, he also had one, but came to my rescue and got it done. Words can't explain my appreciation. Veteran will be my new maintenance provider for my generac generator as well as getting my homes electrical issues resolved. THANK YOU Vince
Rebekah L.Great response time, friendly and amazing work removing a ceiling fan and hanging a chandelier. Rates were better than others I had reached out to. Will definitely use them again for next electrical project.
I used this company once before to install a wall plug for a mounted tv. I was happy with the service. I just had a problem with my garage door opener plug. Breaker wasn't tripped and everything else seemed good. I called and the very nice lady told me that garage door opener had to be on a gfi circuit. I searched and found a gfi reset on a plug that was hidden behind garage shelving. This simple phone advice saved me a service call. I will definitely use this company in the future.
We had a great experience with Vince at Veteran Electric. He returned my call around an hour after I reached out Sunday morning, and was at our house within 2 hours. He repaired our weatherhead so that when Centerpoint restored power, we would be able to get power too. We were extremely happy with the service and quality!
Veteran Electric did an amazing job on installing the back feed and surge protector for my home. Communication, efficiency and time it took to complete the job was phenomenal! I highly recommend them as that they are working diligently and helping so many people after the storm.
