We bought a house that had us take over the solar lease. It was way under paneled. Zefe came out and gave us a quote to panel more of the roof. It's been amazing. We no longer have to pay sdge and have a on going credit. Him and his wife are super easy to get ahold of and they came and checked my panels after a storm made it sound like the roof was crumbling the very next day! So thankful we picked the right company. Much recommend!!

I first found out about Verza when they installed my neighbor's solar panels. Up and done in 3 days. Not once did i see the crew standing around. When I discovered a leak in my roof, I knew it was time to replace the roof, and add solar. I got a quote for the roof. Not the cheapest, but do you really want to go full discount on a roof?

They explained the process for the roof and solar, the permitting process and the time it could take for SDG&E to give ok to ""generate electricity""

When it came time to do the job, they were all over it. The only time they were not working was at lunch.

There are always issues on any job, mine was that the roof was the original 1958 construction, so there was no plywood under the old rolled roofing. (Something we could not know prior to removal).
That didn't even phase them.

While they were removing the old roofing, someone was off to Home Depot to get the plywood for the roof. Barely added a half day to the total time needed ( I was not kidding when I said they were hustling)

They were also able to add a small extension by the front door to keep the doorway dry when it rains (and shady in the summer)

As for the solar, 18 panels making 30-35kw/hrs per day, and from 9am-3pm my meter spins backwards WHILE RUNNING A 3ton AC. My electric bill with AC prior to solar was $350, my bill for last month (with SDG&E only buying my excess for 3 weeks) was $85. I fully expect to have a negative bill next month. And I am set if I add a home battery or electric car

Please... What we got as a "", was nothing more than a list of all the items we would have to go out and purchase so they could install it. Not to mention the permitting etc. that seems to be pretty standard with other solar companies in regards to them taking care of it. I looked at the quote I told my husband to tell them to go pound sand.

This is the first review I have ever written for any company before, however, there is a first time for everything! Verza Solar exceeded my expectations not only for their customer service but their workmanship. We had done our do diligence and had received estimates from 3 different companies and we saved around $4,000 from the other estimates. What impressed me the most about Zeferino, was his patients in answering all my questions and he knew the business from A-Z. Other companies needed to send out an Electrical Engineer to evaluate our electrical needs. Secondly, they are a well oiled machine with Anna getting all the paperwork (permits PTO (permit to operate) completed. I couldn't believe it, from the time I signed the contract to producing power was a total of 13 days!! That was including the Veteran's Day holiday in that time period. I had personally checked with the Building department in El Cajon and was told count on a week once you submit plans to be approved. When Zerferino phoned to schedule the install, he worked hard to get the final inspection completed the day before Thanksgiving as with the additional holiday there would of been a 5 day delay from the City to complete the final inspection. The installation crew were amazing to watch the efficiency of their work. The whole process was seamless.

They did a great job on my project. I just needed to update my panels and they had no problem doing the task. Very professional work at a very reasonable price. Extremely knowledgeable about solar energy systems. I would highly recommend them for your next solar project.

These guys did an excellent job installing solar on my roof. A family business, they had wonderful customer service and helped me plan my system out and with with the city, sdge and inspectors so everything went really smoothly. When one panel was damaged they had it replaced immediately and took care of it themselves with their distributor. I couldn't be happier now. I've written a small blog post with some of the monitoring I've added since it was installed. http://kangtai.me/290-2/

They helped me to get the envoy installed to monitor my solar production too. I talked to 3 other big major solar installers in San Diego and Verza is so much better, friendlier and less pressure than any of the other big guys. They even worked with my roofer to keep the warranty on my existing roof. You will be very happy with these folks.

We interviewed several solar companies and I suggest you do the same. I did my research online first and narrowed down my top five companies. We interviewed three of them and got quite an education on solar power. Overall we were impressed with all three companies. We were about to make a decision when a friend highly recommended that we talk with Zeferino with Verza Solar. I'm glad we did.

We made the decision to work with Verza late Thursday night, Oct 15th and by Monday morning at 10:15 the plans had already been drawn up AND approved by the county. The product was delivered on Tuesday and they wanted to start installation immediately but we asked them to hold off a week due to our schedule. Work was started on the 28th, it was approved by the county inspector on Monday November 9th and we got permission to operate from SDG&E and we are now live and our meter is running backwards! Less than a month from start to finish and it would have been even quicker if we had not asked them to wait a week. There is something to be said for going with a family owned business instead of one of the Big Box Companies. Not only did we save roughly $10,000 but we got everything the big companies promised: a warranty, individual panel monitoring, plus they were the only ones who didn't blink an eye when we said our goal was to be up and running before the end of the year.

Massive over delivery on care and customer service. We are happy campers!
