So a follow up to my prior review. The owner notified me that they would be sending me a partial refund for service-amount not specified. After a month and a half, still no check. So as I said before, make sure you get everything in writing with this company ahead of time

WOW that is the least I can say about Vernon Electric and Jim & Heather. I found out about them on the local Delray Raw Facebook page and then read their reviews on Yelp. They more than live up to their ratings and if I could give them more than 5 starts I would.
I called them this morning (Sunday) about an issue I was having with my Breaker Box and the fact that because of it my A/C was not working. When Jim called me back I figured since today was Sunday we would schedule something for first thing Monday morning but he said no he would be out today. He came out and worked in some of the most oppressive heat of the year. He found the problem, fixed it as well as another issue that could have caused a fire. He got my A/C back up and running and upgraded a few of the other breakers in the box. I would recommend them to anyone in the Boca / Delray area that needs an honest, reliable & educated electrician.

Electrician was great and was timely and neat in his work. But it seems now nobody's there at the business. Left several voice mail messages for new work and all went without a return phone call. Are they still in business?

That is the only good thing. Don't be fooled by their self-generated reviews from close friends.

Impossible to get Jim on the phone to discuss the job on the phone. What Jim and Heather do is prolong the process with emails and texts so you work on their schedule. Trying calling during business hours; you will get voicemail. Seriously, Jim and Heather will send 10 texts and 10 emails before trying to make one phone call and get the job done. They never pick up the phone. Terrible customer service. Proceed at your own peril.

What great people! They lived up to their mission statement on their web site. I had an issue with my electric meter box and had estimates from several electricians, with some as high as $3600 to replace the box. Jim said he could replace the blocks inside the box as well as my main breaker for only $690. We scheduled an appointment and Jim showed up on time. He was extremely nice and had a gentle way about him. My neighbor had a small electrical issue and he quickly repaired it for no charge.Would definitely use Vernon Electric again and recommend them to others.

Fantastic experience- Jim squeezed us into his busy schedule for a last minute appointment to fix some electrical issues at my mom's new condo. Not only did he quickly fix the issues I'd called about, he also identified and repaired some that I wasn't aware of that could have led to fire hazards. I wish all contractors could be this professional and kind. Highly recommend.

Recently contacted Vernon Electric for a couple of electrical jobs we needed to have done at our home. Was able to obtain an acceptable appointment and the price was very reasonable. Billy arrived and performed the work with expertise. Both Heather and Billy were very professional throughout the process. Will definitely call on Vernon Electric for future electrical needs.

I've had problem with my fluorescent lights bulbs in my kitchen for more than a year, but I said enough is enough and look up here for an electrician and the one with the best reviews was Vernon Electric. So, one more time I trust the reviews and made the call. And again everything was perfection. From the call to ask for an estimate to the service today. Jimmy was profesional, on time, knowledgeable and most important: honest. So, go ahead and call them, you will be so happy you did.

I had to scramble when my regular electrician bailed on me right before an appliance delivery. Jim was at my house in an hour & completed everything quickly and properly. Nice to find companies that are this responsive and professional! Highly recommend!
