I can't say enough nice things about Billy. He was on time, his prices were reasonable, and he is an overall very nice and caring person. He cleaned up the job site, cracked some good jokes, and helped make me as the home owner very comfortable. I would highly recommend using him if you need great electrical work done from a standout guy. A+++++

I hate to write this review but unfortunately I must. I had use this company before to have a ceiling fan installed about 2 years ago in my den. It was pleasant making an appointment and a knowledgeable electrician, Bill, came out and installed it. No issues, job well done at a reasonable cost.
Because of this solid experience, I thought of them when my mom talked to me about getting 3 ceiling fans installed in her condo. There was no existing ceiling fans so I told her getting an electrician would be recommended. She also needed to get 2 existing bathroom exhaust fans replaced. I told her I would see if I could contact this company as arrange for them to do the work as I had liked how they handled my ceiling fan install. My mother being 77 years old and having no clue what would be involved in getting this work done is why I wanted to be the one arranging this and not her.
I called Vermette Electric on Thursday 5/6/21 and left a message that I wanted to see if they could do a job for me. Bill called me back and we talked for 19 minutes (per my phone log). It was a detailed conversation about the job that I wanted done and also in which he described in detail what parts I needed to get. It was discussed my mom had 3 rooms for ceiling fans 2 bigger rooms (living room and master bedroom that would get 52"" fans and a very small bedroom that would get 44"" fan. This was not a quick conversation and he talked at length about all of the fans and specifications I should try and look for. I appreciated his attention to detail as far as what type of fans I should get and made sure I did that following Saturday. I was not going to be present at the install which we setup for Monday 5/10/21 as I had to work (which now I regret) so I made sure all the fans were neatly set in the living room that Saturday before install 5/8/21.
Monday comes and I call him around 8am to confirm the install appointment. He confirmed and stated he would probably be a 30 minutes early which I told him should not be a problem. Later that afternoon I called my mom to check on how things were going and she said the fan in the living room had a wobble but was ""ok"". I told her it wasn't OK and that would need to be adjusted. That is when I heard Bill stayed in the background that the fans did not come with balance and kits. This was an unforeseeable problem but I looked on Home Depot site and sent information to my mom to send my son and get the balancing kits. Bill finished up with the fans later that day.
I came by the following Saturday to inspect and install, mostly just to see all that have been done and to visit my mom. As soon as I walked in I realized the mistake that was done. Bill had installed the smallest, 44 inch fan in the biggest room, the living room! I was upset as I didn't understand after detailed conversation how this mistake was done. It was also wobbling most likely it being a cheaper fan with a 12 inch extension that was meant for the bigger 52"" fan that was supposed to go in there. I called and left a voicemail message for Bill that Saturday afternoon.
After not hearing back from him, I called Bill on Monday morning and left a message. At which point, I got a text message from Bill which I already knew was a problem because he was texting instead of calling me. He stated that my mom told him which fans went where and that he had balanced the fan and had witnesses that he had balanced him. I then reminded him that's the whole point of this and why I called him and talked to him in detail beforehand was that my mom was 77 years old and has no idea about ceiling fans. But ultimately at this point, all I wanted him to do was to swap fans at this point. I just wanted him to take the 52 inch fan from the smallest room that he installed it into and swap it with the smallest 44"" fan from the living room. I also mentioned that my mom would be willing to pay a fee to get this done but I stated it it should not be a full cost. He texted me back later that evening basically blaming me for not labeling correctly the fans and that I should've been there. I love when people don't take pride in their work, or the job that they do and don't have the guts to at least call and say things like that.
Bottom line is would I use or recommend this company again? I have to say no. But it is more because of the lack of integrity displayed when an install did not go right. Problems occur but it is how you handle them is what matters. I am extremely disappointed how Bill handled the problem that I discovered afterwards.
As a side note, my mom wrote a check for $1275 for this job to this company not including the the cost of the fans which we had to pay for and now we still need to pay someone to correct this.

Billy is a great guy - very friendly and knowledgeable. He came out the same day and didn't over charge me. I will use him in the future any time I need an electrician.

I wish I could give 10 stars, and no, I'm not exaggerating. Bill was beyond helpful, affordable, reliable and personable.
We needed an electric charging station for my husbands electric car to be installed and had requested quotes from several electricians in the area with no avail, no response, or one who kept changing our appointment. We requested a quote from Bill and he quickly responded, quickly met our needs, and ended up helping us install our new ring doorbell (wired) and the affordability was amazing. This work required wiring and adding a new outlet and breakers in our electrical box. He also took the COVID precautions seriously as well.
We are also in a new home and are experiencing electrical issues (which is under builder warranty or else we would hire Bill to fix). With that said, Bill was so gracious and kind in giving us insight to our situation, current codes, and how to navigate our warranty to get the issue resolved.
My husband and I will be keeping Bills number for any of our future electrical needs. We couldn't be happier with his customer service, workmanship, and the professionalism he shared with us.
Thank you

Leanne is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Bill teaches as he was working on our power panel and breakers. He was on time, friendly and wore a mask for covid. Will definitely have them work on future projects.

A real pro. Showed up on time, didn't have to run to Home Depot in the middle of the job and vastly improved my kitchen lighting that been giving me headaches for years. Bravo to you Vermette Electric !!!

Was able to get in to replace our chandelier same day! Very nice and helpful. It looks great! I would definitely recommend Vermette!

Both Bill and Leanne were courteous, professional and treated us like family. Bill did an excellent job, explaining things as he went along. Leanne was sweet and helpful over the phone in making sure we were scheduled properly. I would highly recommend Vermette Electric for all of your electrical needs. Bill was very knowledgeable, helpful, and went out of his way to make sure not only that he did a great job, but that we were happy with his work and understood how everything worked so we could get the best use out of the products. In addition, we are a disabled family (four of us have different disabilities), and they both worked very hard to accommodate each of us and our disabilities.

Always a lovely experience. Cares and goes the extra mile for you. A chandelier I ordered through an online company with an annoying jingle had broken wiring. He fixed it for just a little more so I didn't have to send it back. Great company. Have used 3 times and will use again.

Bill from Vermette Electric was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Bill arived on time and completed the work promptly. Bill went above and beyond by taking the time to troubleshoot one of the fans that seemed to be malfunctioning even though it wasn't part of the original work.
Leanne who originally took my call was extremely helpful in quoting the job and worked with me to schedule the work around my schedule. Leanne made sure to follow up with a courtesy call prior to the work to ensure everything was ready to go. The quote I received was the price I paid.
You can really tell that this Leanne and Bill really care about customer service and customer satisfaction. Would use this service again and highly recommend them.
