After reading all these great reviews, I called JM. He has been so busy because of these reviews that I had to wait a month and a half (incl. my 2 wk vacation). I own apartments and am looking for a professional, reliable electrician. We talked about my long-term needs, expectations-communication is a big one!-and he sounded great.
The week before the appt. I called for clarification of fixtures I was going to buy. I specifically asked if I need T-8 or T-12s. The returned call said, ""It's JM @ phone #"". When I called back saying I have to buy the fixtures to have them for the appt., I got his VM. I called again, AND the morning he was to come. All the tenants had to park outside the garage for the day. He called after the appt time; I said I was disappointed and went over why. His response? Two ""wow""s and a ""sorry 'bout that."" He was clueless about his lack of responsibility. If he would have apologized and had a game plan, he would have won me over, but it was outside his thinking. I'm so disappointed.
I called Martinez elect. and Crazy John-both sound professional and adult.

Jason is so awesome. He came on time on a Saturday at 9am. I think it's actually outside his normal working hours, but he still showed up on time anyways. My repair was very simple, but I asked him about a lot of stuff that I wanted to do in the future. He is very knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly honest. We had a long talk about brazilian jiu jitsu and working out after he was done with the repair. I don't think you can find a better electrician.

What a truly professional Person. He came out to our condo to replace a exhaust fan for us and was so polite, professional and knowledgeable. He really was happy to be here and was very nice. He was quick, clean and took great care to make sure nothing was damaged etc. I have had a lot of contractors and electricians through the years, this guy is the best!!!

I was having problems with the florescent lights in my kitchen, so I phoned Jason Mathers Electric. Jason has his own business and was busy when I called so I left a message. He phoned me back that evening and said that he knew what the probable problem was. He came to my house the next day, checked out the equipment, told me what it would cost to fix it, went and picked up the new parts and had everything working in just over an hour. He only charged me for one hour of work even though he actually spent more than one hour at my house. I felt that he was very competent, polite and honest and his rates were very reasonable.

A complete pro with a great attitude. One of those guys who seems to like what they do and are happy to work. I had Jason install some outdoor electrical outlets on our deck. He came up with some good ideas to make the installation better and he stuck to his estimate. I hired Jason to take care of a number of projects, ranging from serious electrical to running lines for phone and cable, and they were all executed flawlessly, at a reasonable rate. Jason's creativity and craftsmanship also allowed him to work around some unexpected issues that popped up in dealing with a 65+ year old house.
