Our general contractor brought in Val to do some rewiring for part of a larger remodeling project. While here, we mentioned to Val that there were several other electrical issues in our house. Admittedly, none of these were major problems, but they were definitely nuisances. You could tell that the previous owner's electrician had cut corners wherever possible.

Light switches were in inconvenient locations. Switches were on the wrong side of the wall; actually moving the one from the back of the wall to the front, and vice versa was exactly what we needed. And overall work just looked sloppy.

Val was happy to fix all of these problems, and charge a minimal amount of money. I wish we had known about him earlier. I should have had him come in years ago.

It was all little nitpicks, and it didn't even have anything to do with the bigger project that we had originally hired him for, but it just makes us feel so much happier in our house.

I will definitely hire him again for other projects.

I found Val on Yelp 2 years ago.We bought a house and needed to have recessed lighting put in in our living room and 4 bedrooms. He also ran CAT5 from the office to the basement and did a few other little things. Val and his team showed up on time and were finished on time (it was a 3 day project). He was also very helpful with making recommendations. A year and a half later I called him to have an electrical run to the gas fireplace insert. Showed up on time for an estimate, then came back with his team the following week and was done as promised. Last week he had my dental office wired with Cat5, VGA and speaker wires. Speaking of promptness and honesty, I met him at the office at 8.15am, showed him what needed to be done, left him the keys and left to go to my daughter's Xmas party. Val's prices are very reasonable and I would not even think twice about recommending him to anyone or using him again.

Had an urgent need for an electrician in my daughter-in-laws apartment ---- power failures intermittently. Called Value Construction this morning, left a message. Did same with three others. In a short time Val called back. Said he'd be there in an hour, and actually was. Found and fixed the problem and helped label the panel breakers that the previous electrician hadn't when installed.

Val is genuine guy, knows his trade and is reasonable. I've used over 30 different kinds of tradesment/contractors as a homeowner and income property owner and can only recommend two of them. Value Electrical is one.

I needed a ceiling light fixture installed. I went online and requested quotes on ServiceMaster.com. Val called me within 2 minutes with a quote (cheaper than I expected). Competing electricians took days to get back to me.

Val agreed to come early to work around my schedule. He installed the fixture perfectly, kept to his quote and even cleaned up after mess that I made trying to do it myself.

Look no further than Val! I solicited bids from three top Yelp rated electricians. Val was the ONLY one I would even consider for several reasons. First, he returned my call within an hour (one of the other electricians returned my call after ten days and several follow up phone calls later). Second, he came to the bid prepared. He had laser measuring devices, took thorough notes, drew pictures and talked through every detail with me to ensure he understood what I wanted (none of the other electricians did this- they simply eyed everything and took minimal notes). Finally, his bid was $300 cheaper than the nearest competitor.
The quality of his work was amazing. He did exactly what I asked, he was extremely efficient and did an excellent job of cleaning up after. We've already got another project lined up for him! On top of all of this, Val and his assistant are two of the nicest guys I've ever met and it felt like having friends over for the day.
