The fraudulent invoicing and fake charges continue.

I wrote to the Regulated Industries Complaint Office (RICO) on the fraudulent invoicing of charges we never knew we owed.

RICO responded that Valley Isle Builders has decided to write off the debt and they have no intention of pursuing the collections process. However Lars Bertelsen the president of the company would like me to remove the negative comments on Yelp.

1) This is a debt we never owed because it was never communicated to us there was extra charge of a travel fee on top of a service fee so ""writing off a debt"" the customer was never made aware of is a moot point. Lars is not doing us any favors.

2) Yelp is a consumer review site and Maui consumers deserve to know how Valley Isle operates with fraudulent billing practices.

3) Today, on June 1st, we received yet another invoice with finance charges on top of the ""debt"" we owe.

You truly cannot make this stuff up. These people are a joke.

When we called Valley Isle. They were so quick to respond, less than an hour and so much more fair on pricing than the others that we had talk to.
They took care of our plumbing issues efficiently and we're very clean in all aspects.

Had a leak that ruined sheetrock in garage. One of Lars' guys put up new sheetrock, taped and textured. Once the paint was dry, there was no way to tell where the damage had been.

Lars is a true professional and great communicator. He delivered on a very short notice when my rental had a pipe that burst and did a lot of damage. When the situation was stressful he was calm and professional. Definitely great service!

Valley Isle Builders were incredible to work with from start to finish! They showed up on time, did an incredibly beautiful job on our complete kitchen remodel to our Lahaina condo, and were a pleasure to work with at every step. They facilitated glitches from the cabinet maker and did it all for a very reasonable price. They even showed up to meet with the condo association to facilitate the building request process. They are professional and personable, and for every problem, they have a solution. We really appreciated working with them and highly recommend them!!!

Amazing Service called last minute Friday that I had received 200lbs bananas for my new drying machine, which came earlier than expected! They said was booked busy with staff on Lanai perhaps coming back in time... Did they yes came by at 5:00pm spent hour running through different ways to hook up this new machine and shopping list that night at Home Depot. Came back Sunday morning brought his kids for pancakes while he and assistant used old conduit 10amp pulled new 20amp wires Hooked up new oven with its own plugin from ceiling and even labeled plugs, and inside the Fuse Board Cabinet! Done in 2 hours just fantastic. Got the Bill Promptly via email 3days later with 15days net. WOW way to get me as your customer!! Now wish we had same luck with Plumbing.....will for sure use them next time any issues. Thanks for perfect professional Job Done!
