Been using them for years and there's always outages with no storms, the prices go up every year, I have been paying for years over the phone and online with no convenience fee and this year they started doing a convenience fee. This place is terrible

Unbelievable lack of care for anything...much less customers. Can't finish a building project because ""their computer is down"" and I have to call back. I have to call back! Thankfully the Lt Governor's office and Tx Public Utility Commission's computers ARE up....

The week of the 9th of May upshur rural electric sent people out to trim tree's on our property, a man came to our door and said he was going to cut the tops off of a few tree's. After a while we looked out and instead of cutting tops off like they told us they cut down big tree's just scalped our yard. Now tree's are all over the place can't even mow. The guy told us that someone would come back and pick them all up. Some of the tree's they cut down didn't have to be, we went through a wildfire of 2011 took everything our home and our beautiful tree's it took years to get back what we have and in minutes many of them are just gone, absolutely no respect for others property. As of today Sunday May the 15th they are still here scattered everywhere. So very upsetting.

Lights stay out more than they stay on. Every other day my lights is out. Then they say well a tree fell and that is why your lights is out. I guess a tree falls every other day. I ask well tell me what am I going to do about the food in my fridge. They said we don't have anything to help you with. Sorry sorry sorry service.

This Company has to be the worst electric company on this planet. You will be without power 2-3 times a year. And no less than 36 hours with no power but it could be 5 days. No one mentioned that you would need a generator backup. Live off grid before using this company.

If there was a minus on the star rating I'd use it.
Once again, power goes out. 8:08am. 7-27-2019.
Very undependable service!
Lose power at least 2 times per month.
Perfect weAther.
Clear sky's and BAM- power off. Ridiculous.
Service line - no answer.
Power restore service- slow.
Had we known the trouble and sorry service by Upshur rural electric- we would have never moved here.

Not recommended to live in Upshur county but we are stuck with only their service.

Very suprised few power outages compaired to other Coops.

Customer Service and person answering the phone have very poor phone edicate as compaired to most businesses in todays market. Person seems to take offense when asked to connect you with a supervisor, so you can get a clearer answer to questions.
3rd time this has happened over the years, still an issue.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. They have completely monopolized the industry and have policies in place to nickle and dime you for everything you have and they truly do not give a damn. Their fees and deposits are outrageous and completely unnecessary. I would say stay away but unfortunately if you live in east Texas you probably don't have a choice. So just bring the KY and be prepared to take it.

I've been without power for 2 and 1/2 days. lost everything in fridge and freezer. I guess there is not enough workers to work at each downed site. if not then there are a lot of people out there that are jobless and would be glad to cut trees off power lines. the phone service is terrible can't talk to a real person. maybe the utilities commission should hear about this lousy service.
