Arturo installed some ceilings fans at my house. Two of the fans were in a room with a raised and angled ceiling. He placed them perfectly and it really added to the room's appeal. He works very efficiently and his prices are very fair. I would gladly hire him again for any electrical needs.

Arturo has been a great help to us during our full home remodel. He is patient and takes the time to walk through everything you want to accomplish. We had him install recessed lights and new switches throughout our home, and he'll also be hanging our chandeliers and fixing some old electrical issues in the house. After using Upgrade Electric to replace a window mounted air conditioning unit, I was left feeling that they, as a business, were dishonest and rude in their business practices and customer service.

To begin with, the technician requested payment in cash rather than through a credit card, or he would charge me an additional 4% to use my credit card. Though I requested an invoice for his work performed for my records, and an invoice being promised, I have yet to receive it. In addition, the price that he quoted me for the replacement unit was $60 less than what I was actually charged for the physical replacement. This does not include any costs associated with labor.

There was also a $100 charge for finding a replacement unit that didn't meet my requirements; I made clear that I was visually impaired and would require a unit that had analog controls rather than a full digital device. In their defense, he did state that finding one with this configuration would not be an option as the units that would fit the installation space did not come with analog controls and were only available in digital. Understanding this limitation, I accepted what I presumed was my only option.

Lastly, I was not informed that disposal was separate from ""Removal and replacement"" of my old window unit. As such, the old unit was left on my property without being informed, in one of the primary walkways that I use. As I am visually impaired, it wasn't seen and thus tripped over. When I reached out to him about why the unit was left on my property, I was advised that they do not do disposal.

Over all, I feel that I have been ripped off and taken advantage of by Upgrade Electric and would discourage anyone else from using them for any work that needs to be performed on their household.

Buyer beware, Upgrade Electric was also recommended by Home Adviser, a service that connects customers with contractors for repairs. Use them at your own risk; I know that I will not be returning to them for any other projects my home requires.

Arturo's electrical knowledge and experience is surpassed by no one else. From simple troubleshooting to a complete power system installation, his electrical work is the best I've ever seen. His prices are very reasonable and his quality of work is superior.

He always preps the area he's working and cleans up when he's finished. He never rushes to complete his work. He takes the necessary time to do it correct the first time. He treats your house like it is his own. I would not hesitate recommending him to anyone.
