I had the power go out in one of my rooms and the breaker was not resetting. I called universal and they sent Benjamin. He searched and searched and finally figured out that had nothing to do with the wiring it had to do with a power strip I had purchased. Apparently it was defective and it blew the electricity breaker and wouldn't reset as long as it was plugged in. Wow! I would never have thought that something so simple could cause that problem. At any rate he fixed it and then I asked him about a couple of other areas in my house that I was worried about. Turned out the handyman/contractor I used a few years ago used incorrect wiring for outdoor sockets... They were a fire waiting to happen! So we rescheduled for the next day and he came out and rewired all of that and gave me an additional light switch for my garage. I am so happy! Ben was awesome and how he explained everything and showed me everything in a way that I could understand. He didn't push me into anything just told me what he would recommend and why and of course I did it! I don't need my house to catch fire due to electrical issues! And that happens a lot when you use handyman or a diyer so I was very relieved and I feel very secure now. I would recommend United highly if all their employees are like Ben! Ben's the kind of guy that if I were still in business I would hire him!

Boy oh boy! I don't know what to tell you, but if you're looking for a quality electrical company, these people are the bomb. We recently decided to put in Solar and then found out that based on our needs and the size of the solar system we wanted that are 40+ year old electrical panel would not do the job. We needed to upgrade the panel and because of new regulations in San Diego county it also had to be moved to a new location. Underground necessitated from the street to my house. All in all complex that could've been a whole lot more expensive. The crew at United was absolutely amazing to deal with honestly when they finish the work you couldn't tell that it hadn't always been that way. The panel provided a lot of other benefits as well. My circuit breakers don't flip anymore and I'm powering my house with Solar. Even during power outages. Definitely add them to your bid list for a big job. I think you'll be really pleased with the results.

Secondly and most importantly, I want to give BEN my heartfelt thanks. Ben was punctual, polite and explained in detail the nature of the work he was doing. He also followed through by making sure everything worked inside the residence once the job was completed.
I further appreciate Ben remembering and respecting my ""no outdoor"" shoe policy upon entering my home. He came with some nifty red booties as well.

Ryan did a great job. I got a sub panel installed to bypass my old unsafe zinsco panel. He did a great job explaining my different options and guiding me through the process. Not only did he patch the drywall holes he made, but patched another drywall hole nearby that was already there. Overall great job! Great value well worth the cost, quality comes at a price!

They came out to fix a water heater on 07/08/24, after standing looking at water heater and taking a couple of photos, it was determined that a gas valve must be malfunctioning. Said they would be back in touch within a half hour. 2 days later I called their 800 number and asked what was going on, they said they would have ""Jim"" contact me, it now 3 days later and zero reply! but damn, they took their $99.95 service call money instantly.

We had an EV charger, and ceiling light fixture installed. Ryan was fantastic. He was polite, professional, and a pleasure to work with.
His communication throughout the process was great, he explained everything in detail so we could make informed decisions, and his work was very satisfactory.
