these guys are fantastic. Art and his team who worked on our place, were always on time, very responsive and always pleasant. we had all our electrics replaced except the actual wiring in the house . new panel, new switches etc etc. installed new ceiling lights in the bedrooms and studio. not a small job at all. the other thing id like to point out is how neat they are. always covering everything well and cleaning up after themselves. i would use them again in a heartbeat, thanks guys!!

I recently purchased a coupon on Angies list for the above company to perform a whole house electrical inspection. That inspection noted on the coupon also included 1 additional hour of electrical labor to address other electrical issues such as installing new lighting or new lighting, dimmer, etc., which is what I really needed and purchased the coupon for.

After buying the coupon I called United to make an appointment for one of their technicians to come to my house. The Technician showed up at the date and time promised. I told the technician I wanted him to look at a problem I was be having in one of my bathrooms first. There was either a wall switch that was bad or the LED canister lights had to be replaced. On the way to get to the bathroom the tech spotted the electrical panel in the garage and said he would like to check that first. I said OK.

He opened the panel took a 3 second look and immediately said; ""you have a problem the breakers are over 10 years old and that can cause a fire., you need to replace them, and we would be happy to do the work (estimate $700) + dollars, plus any changes needed to an outside panel, let me show you a video on why they should be replaced"".

I told him that if every house in San Diego with breakers older than 10 years needed replacing, even though they are working fine that would probably mean at least 95% of breakers in all homes in San Diego would need to be replaced. I also told him an electrician who did work in my house 2 years ago replaced one of the breakers that went bad and never said all the others should be replaced. There was nothing wrong with my breakers.

I finally got him to look at the problem in my bathroom. It turned out the wall switch, that I thought was bad was fine, but the LED canisters needed to be replaced. He said he could replace the lights for about $150. (parts and labor). I told him I had the parts and labor was included with the coupon. He wasn't even aware that the call was to perform an hours' worth of labor work based on the coupon. After giving him the replacement LED canisters I had purchased, he resolved the issue in less than 10 minutes.

On the way out, he looked at the panel in the garage again, still trying to sell me on replacing all the breakers. While he may be right that old breakers should be replaced after some period, I was angry because it appeared the entire coupon offering was just geared to sell replacing breakers, or other work, whether needed or not.

He also never even performed any other of the items noted on the coupon such as check wire insulation, and grounding systems, etc. He was just determined to sell me new breakers, plus who knows how much other unneeded work.

If I had to rate them on their high-pressure tactics (it was that overt) I would give them a 1 rating. However, he did find and correctly fixed the electrical issue in my bathroom. So overall, I will give them a 2.

Ouch, Summer in October and temperatures hovering around 100 degrees for the past week and my AC stops working. I called several San Diego Air Conditioning repair companies, but ultimately went for United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric due to being guaranteed quick response times.

The customer service representative was very thorough and efficient in processing my request. Straight to the point and was able to get someone out in the next hour! I felt no pressure in setting up the appointment as I was off the phone in less than five minutes!

The technician Robert showed up extremely professional and was able to fix the problem for less than $200. I am giving them five stars because for overall efficiency and prompt service during the recent heatwave.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for fast and affordable service!

Oct 4th. Had a 10am appt for an estimate to move furnace and install tankless. Lorenzo showed up pretty late, but seemed like a nice guy that knew what he was talking about and excited to tackle our job. His iPad battery was dead so said he would email me an estimate later....I don't hear from them for 16 days.
Oct 21 Joe calls and sets another appt to come out for an estimate on my job. ""We will see you between 1-3 on the 24th"" he tells me.
It is now 6pm on Oct 24th and nobody showed up and nobody called. Huge waste of my time...again.

I called United Plumbing when we had a ""heat wave"" in San Diego a month or so ago in order to fix our AC units. Jeremiah was very professional and explained the repairs in detail. Replaced the broken parts immediately. Total service time about 45 minutes. Great service technician! However, I was very shocked when given the invoice amount...over $800! I checked online for the parts replaced (which you can buy at Home Depot for $50.00). I called the manager and he took off 25%. But the bill was still over $600. Very expensive!! Though the service was great, the price was not reasonable.

Brad arrived and was very polite, asked if I would like him to cover his boots; which he did after entering my yard to get to my unit. Brad explained everything that was needed to resolve my AC issue and also explained the warranty that is provided in the event something happens in the next year.

Very poor service. The technician ""MANNY"" was rude and sexist; treated me poorly and made rude comments about me being a women ""little girl"" and continuously laughed at my comments and questions. If my husband were there I doubt he would have been treating me the way he was. He left the job site despite his manager on the phone telling him to wait for him to call back. Look for services else where. Huge disconnect from customer service line and the service actually being provided.
