My home warranty company assigned them to me. They came and went back. Lied to my warranty company completely voiding it and didn't even file the report leaving me with no heat for a week until I called and complained to the company. They don't even answer phone calls. Blame it on covid all you want, you are straight up unprofessional.

My pool heater wasn't turning on reliably so I contacted my home warranty. Unified Contractors was the second contracting company they sent out. The first contractor replaced a couple parts, neither of which fixed the problem, and then gave up. Fortunately Robert from Unified Contractors came out for a second option and quickly identified the temperature control panel as the cause of the issue. Indeed, when he came back out to replace it 6 weeks later, it fixed the problem. Unfortunately, after he initially came out to diagnose the issue, I couldn't get a hold of them to find out the status. I ended up contacting the warranty company after a few weeks, who contacted Unified, and got the new part I needed ordered for me. Even taking into account that this was during COVID and around the holidays, they still could have picked up the phone or answered my text or email at some point. Honestly they may have dropped the ball completely if I hadn't called the warranty company to get a hold of them. So I give unified 5 stars for their troubleshooting and installation, but 1 star for communication - so they get 3 stars overall.

Not recommended. These guys are the worst I have ever seen. It's more than a month I'm waiting for my pool Pump and they are not answering the phone calls and email.

My home warranty company hired them to fix my pump.

Would not recommend, I had an issue with a ceiling fan and it took forever just to get an appointment. I do understand that this may have been caused by Covid and this was not even the issue here. What was problematic was that they came to visit and said they would need to do a follow-up. It never happened. I called multiple times when they said they would give me a follow-up, never did. Eventually, I got someone to assist me, but even that took forever. They could not find my ticket and apparently had closed it without notifying me. Highly unprofessional communication and would not want to use them again.

My home warranty company assigned UC to fix my pool heater. The tech showed up as scheduled, which is the last good thing I can say about the experience. He diagnosed my pool heater as needing a new thermistor and the part would take 2 weeks to order because of COVID. Having no experience with pool repair I took his word for it.

The next day when my regular pool guy came by I told him the diagnosis and timeframe for repair. He laughed and advised the part is readily available and the repair takes 10 minutes.

I called UC to get an update and ask about a revised repair schedule. I left a message and sent texts to the original string as they directed in their voicemail message. Crickets. I called multiple times over multiple days and finally got a person. She was very sweet and said she was contacting the tech to get an update and would call me back that day. I waited 3 days with no response before I called my warranty company to have the claim reassigned.

Funny, I ordered the part off of Amazon and performed the diagnosed repair myself in 1 day!! This company couldn't even communicate with me over 2 weeks!!

I texted them to advise my claim had been reassigned to another vendor and I would like a refund of my $60 service fee for which they did nothing. They finally responded to me for the first time in 2 weeks saying my appointment has been canceled.

This place is a joke. I can't believe they are still in business. If your warranty company assigns them do yourself a favor and immediately request another service provider.

I would give -100 stars if I could.

Working with Unified Contractors has been nightmarish. We spent more than 4 months with them to replace a bathroom exhaust fan. Ultimately, we gave up on them finishing the work and hired a different contractor.

We're still trying to settle the issue of payment for their complete failure to complete the work.

The technician who came, however, was very professional and pleasant. We assume that the problems are all in the central office.

If you have a pool issue avoid this company at all costs. They lack communication skills, they are impossible to reach by phone and never return phone calls. My pool is still leaking and they refuse to explain anything. All the bad reviews on here are true.

My review is based on business ethics and not the actual service.

American Home Shield (AHS) commissioned Unified Contractors (UC) to diagnose my leaking pool heater. When speaking with Guillermo, the contractor sent from UC, he assured me that the issue was not caused by user neglect and would be reflected in his report to AHS as such. Even going as far as to say, ""don't worry, you'll be getting a new heater."" This was reassuring as my pool would be out of commission until this issue was resolved. I called AHS to confirm his diagnosis to find out his report was exactly opposite from what he had explained to me stating the issue was ""user caused,"" resulting in a claim denial.
This really brings to question the business ethics Unified Contractors practices and I caution anyone who ends up using them to make sure they are not being fed lies.

Do not work with this company. First, only the owner is licensed and all the employees who do service calls are not. Their employee Robert has come out 3 times to our home. He was rude, condescending and a real bully to me (when my husband wasn't around). My 19 and 21 year old kids were around and witnessed it. He could not fix the issues and inaccurately reported back to the insurance company. Run from this company. I now have complaints open with BBB and next step is small claims court. Robert should be fired and if he wants to remain in the business - GO TO SCHOOL!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness
Sent to my home by First American Home Warranty

They cancelled the first appointment, and the disgruntled employee showed up for the second appointment to inspect the pool piping and pool heater.

The piping is leaking from multiple joints; but his report says because a screw was tightened too much (leak didn't start until we used the heater for the first time since moving in), that caused all of the leaks. I'm sorry, this is impossible..from an engineering perspective. The plumbing is old! It should at least be leaking from the crack mentioned, but, it definitely isn't. I even pointed it out to him...

The pool heater. Yes, the 41 year old pool heater...he documented on his report it is damaged from the chemicals...it is 41 years old and rusted to the core...how is this due to chemical damage? I also mentioned the heater will not heat the jacuzzi past 80 degrees. He documented in his report ""it worked when tested"". His documentation showed a 3 degree increase in temperature, 78 degrees! I asked if it is a fire hazard, and he wouldn't answer the question!

He was rude and wouldn't answer simple questions I had. He wanted to argue everything I asked. He falsified documentation denying my First American Home Warranty Claim. Seems the way this company works...
