I'm glad others had a good experience with Freddy and his family but I found them to be very difficult to work with on a mid-range addition/remodel project we did. They were brought in as a sub, and by the time they got started, we had added some lights and outlets we realized we wanted to the design. They wouldn't give me a price right away for the change order, and just started doing the easiest part of the work putting in the ceiling cans. I am the type of person who needs to know upfront what things will cost and I clearly said that to them and the GC. They then came back with what seemed to me like a very high and unconsidered price for the change order. Rather than give me a breakdown of the individual costs of adding outlets and lights, they negotiated by threatening to walk off the job. We agreed to have me do some of the work and them some for a lower price, but I didn't like that they would try to strongarm me by starting the work and then threatening to stall the project.

They did then walk off the job at the end, leaving the GC without a response on the punchlist items and me with several literal loose ends to tie up and a few outlets to wire myself. If I wasn't a handy client, leaving 8 hot wires dangling in the crawlspace would have been a huge safety hazard and entirely not-ok. Even the GC was surprised at their sloppiness. The new wiring they did worked, but the finish quality of what they did was so-so. For instance, rather than cut an outlet in with a multi-tool, they used a sawzall, and I had to remill the custom profile baseboard and trim I'd made. An extra hour of work for me because they didn't bring the right equipment. Not all screws were clocked on faceplates, lights were out of plumb or not in line with each other. Their sub-panel did look ok to me. If you are picky, and really care about your design, I would go with someone else. They are probably fine for little repair jobs or commercial stuff.

Granted, we didn't hire them directly but if you do for a larger job, clearly get a list of prices for potential changes.

Fredy and his team are fantastic! I can't sing enough praises about them. They installed lighting throughout our entire condo are were efficient, kind, and knowledgeable. If you're getting other quotes (we received around 6), they may not be the cheapest, but I'm so very happy with my decision to go with them.

Great service, the team came and installed new light fixtures (replacing an old 60s style recessed lighting fixture. Work was done within a few hours and then I worked with the team to find a follow up drywall repair service which also was done quickly and professionally.

If you're looking for a family-run business that provides good service and value, then this is it ! A little rough around the edges as far as responding ...possibly because they're busy. I had a foyer light installed and had to convert a 2 gang-switch to a 3 gang that included a dimmer, and had 2 exterior outlets installed. Cost was competitive so whenever I need work done again, I'm calling Ultra Electric Co.

Couldn't more highly recommend these guys! Fredy and his son, Roland were extremely responsive, professional, and competitively priced. They assessed my problem from several photos I texted, provided an estimate (which turned out to be accurate) and were here the next day, masked and ready to go. I called numerous electricians with many more Yelp recommendations, but found this family business to be the best for me. Quality over quantity. Excellent, conscientious work. These are my ""go to guys"" for any future electrical work.

Very happy to have found Ultra Electric for replacing a panel and grounding our house and rewiring a bunch of switches indoors (including a couple of things that other electrician's were reluctant to do).
