I was given an estimate of about $600 to hang one chandelier. But, I had agreed to an hourly rate and ended up paying $1725. After they left, I realized that my floors had been scratched (scaffolding still up when I left), that there was a wire coming over the side of the chandelier, and that the tape Sam had pray painted Gold to cover the wires on top had come loose. (I had agreed to the tape as they did not seem to be able to find a way to correctly install the wires, and was told that the tape would not come up.) When I complained, I was told that I had approved the project.
Months later, I hired Motley crew to come in and rehang the chandelier correctly. They removed chandelier, wired it correctly, and rehung it. It took 1.25 hours (instead of 6 hours) and I was charged $282.
When I told Sam Turner, he said that I hadn't given him a chance to fix it, that he didn't scratch the floor, and that I had approved the job.
I asked Sam if HE thought that the chandelier looked good when he hung it, and he did not answer. He restated that I approved the project.
BTW, refinishing my floors that had just been done one year prior, was an additional $500. But again, Sam says that that was not his fault.

Exceptional. Rarely does this word apply to service contractors nowadays - but it does regarding my recent experience with Turner Electric. Sam Turner is a remarkable guy who does quality work and runs a quality operation - in a genuinely caring manner. He went far out of his way to solve a tricky problem, and made it a priority to fix it. I can't recommend Sam, and his associates Stephen and Dave, highly enough. Solid work, fair price, and a personalized approach is what they are about. In that, they truly are exceptional.

Fabulous experience again today....these gents have been my 'go-to' guys for nearly six(6) years. Install hot tub to add lighting and power in closets. Just recently needed an outside box with 30 Amp pulled. Job completed on time and BELOW ESTIMATE...now who does that ? Sam Turner does that !!
I've recommended them to multiple neighbors...everyone was satisfied with the work product and price !! I'd fully recommend them to you...

Turner electric is an outstanding company. I have had the pleasure of having several jobs at my new home in st Augustine by Billy s son Sam. He was very professional and did a quality job on each task. Sam response fed promptly and was very courteous I strongly recommend Turner for all your electrical needs

Billy Turner Electrical Company is very unhelpful. In fact when I called early in the week to make an appointment the gal who answers the phone said she would get back to me. I gave her a very clear description of what I needed done but I never heard back.
Today was the appointment day so I called to make sure someone was going to show up. But since the gal who answered the phone never took any notes about the job I had to explain it all over again.
I spoke to Billy's brother. Again very difficult like pulling teeth. You would think that if a customer is willing to spend $125 an hour to have an electrician change out plastic boxes to metal boxes for a fan it would not be that difficult.
Mika, the manufacturer instructions state specifically that the boxes must be metal. Now maybe that is because the fans weigh 50lbs but that is what they specify.
So now I am being told that I can't change plastic to metal. WTF. Wiring is wiring. If the space for the box needs to be adjusted so be it. But I have no doubt that even Home Depot or Lowes carry a metal box that would switch out and fit the space that is already there.
Then I wanted the upstairs AFI switch in the bathroom to be changed out to GFI. Again I am given a what for...let's see it is my house...I don't want to have to run from upstairs to downstairs if the switch flips...it's my money so if I ask to have it changed out again WTF does the electrician care he is getting paid and it is not going to cause any issues to replace a AFI with a GFI in a bathroom.
The TRUTH is that Billy Turner's brother did not want to come out to do the job. The TRUTH is that he did not want to deal with a female customer who know what she wants and why.
So the ULTIMATE TRUTH is that I would never recommend this company.
