Since Turn Electric was first on the list and had great reviews, I called. Because there was no answer, I was prompted to leave my name and phone number and expected a return call. I waited and waited. The 10 minutes promise to respond passed. Twenty-four hours later, I decided to call another electrician who was also rated 5-star on Yelp. That person contacted me within 30 minutes and arrived 15 minutes after that. I'm glad that I did!
I am still waiting for a call from Turn Electric.

To my surprise and amazement, I received a call from Steve of Turn Electric. He profusely apologized for the error of not responding as promised. I thanked him for calling as it was totally unexpected. This is the sign of someone who cares about his customers. The call to my former electrician was not returned and I am no longer doing business with him. I've decided that I will keep Turn Electric on my list.

I called Turn Electric number to fix our broken Smoke detector which was beeping intermittently. It is located at a tricky position on a slanting high ceiling over the staircase. Steve was very clear and told me upfront that he may not be able to reach to it, in which case he said he will not charge me any money just for coming out! That was very nice of him to make it clear. He also suggested that it might be worthwhile to replace the whole smoke detector rather than just changing the battery.

He came out the next day along with his and son and was able to replace the unit (I had purchased a new one from Home Depot). And it certainly was not easy. Positioning the ladder on the staircase was extremely difficult!

Steve is warm, easy going and friendly and it was a pleasure having him do our repairs. We will definitely call Steve for any electrical repairs and/or installations in future.

I called several places to remove a Venetian glass chandelier and replace it with another one. Everyone else either wouldn't take on the job or were charging an exorbitant amount. I called Steve and he had no hesitation in doing the work for a fraction of the cost. He arrived on time, did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. We will be using him for all our electrical needs from now on.

I had an urgent electrical need on a Saturday and called Steve, he answered immediately and let me know right away that I was outside of his service area. You would think that would be the end of the story, but Steve still asked what I needed so that he could refer me to someone. I told him what I thought I needed, he explained what I actually needed and gave me the name and number of a guy he knows and trusts. Ok, so that's the end of the story, right? Nope - 40 minutes later Steve calls back to see if I got ahold of the other electrician and he is taking the job. I told him I had left a message but not heard back. Steve says he is going to a funeral this morning, but will be home by 4 pm and since it is Saturday, traffic on the 405 should be light. If I haven't got anyone set up by that time, give him a call and he will try to come down and take care of it. What a great guy - seriously, it was a small job and not worth his time or effort but it was so nice of him to offer. I called six electricians that day and Steve was the only one I ever spoke to. Kinda makes me wish I lived farther north just so I could have him as my regular electrician. Thanks Steve, you are a credit to your profession.

After a recent home inspection we found an inoperable electrical outlet and an issue due to faulty wiring of our electrical service which was causing a circuit breaker to trip, which was actually dangerous and missed by our first home inspection. Based on Yelp reviews I went with Turn Electric and I am happy I did. From the beginning, Steve was responsive over the phone and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Steve was able to troubleshoot the problems immediately and explain what the issues were to the home owner. The fixes were simple and he was done within an hour.

Steve and Daniel came by to access the electrical issues at our home today and ended up diagnosing and fixing issues we didn't even know we had. What's more, instead of charging me hundreds of dollars to make unnecessary repairs, they instead fixed issues as a courtesy. Steve is a fantastic and knowledgable electrician who explains everything he does. Honest, courteous and fair, what more could you ask for.

Steve came to our rescue when a power outlet blew up in our kitchen. Having LADWP and our solar installers at our house just the day prior, he was the only one that gave us an honest and thorough inspection. Steve was able to pinpoint the main issue, and while he could have just as easily done the work, he referred us back to the original installers to have them fix what triggered it. While we hope we won't need his services any time soon, I'm glad we found a dependable and reasonable electrician.

I called Steve because of his ratings on Yelp and the comments made by his clients. I got exactly what I expected based on those posts. Steve called when he said he was going to call, showed up when he said he was going to show up and was tenacious in his troubleshooting. The issue he was facing was particularly difficult to figure out but he stuck with it and in the end we are back in business. I can tell you that you will not find a more dedicated, thoughtful electrician that you will find in Steve. More importantly, you will learn a LOT in the process!

Steve came out to diagnose a problem with a GFI outlet in a house we had sold. He worked to accommodate us in his busy schedule.
He quickly diagnosed the problem, showing us what was wrong with the wiring. He explained things very clearly so we can tell the new owner what needs to be done.
