BLUF - Zero stars if I could! If you use them, prepare to be up charged and milked for your money. They are looking for suckers who will do everything they recommend for any price they quote. Despite their cheery attitude over the phone asking ""how they can make me smile today,"" they left me feeling disgusted and disrespected. Check other reviews with similar experiences as me.

Gretchen squeezed me in for an appointment same day for an estimate, which I was grateful for. She said they had experience working my partial power issues and wanted to squeeze me in because she knew it was a dangerous situation.

Ciro, their estimator, was punctual in coming to give me an estimate on the repair. However, without doing any tests or touching any of my equipment outside (pulling the meter, opening my electric breaker box, or doing any voltage tests), he immediately told me that, based on his experience, he was sure the issue was that the stranded aluminum neutral wire from the pole down into my meter base, saying it was rusted/corroded inside the protective pipe. Btw - I'm attaching pictures of this wire in perfectly good condition after it was cut and replaced.

He proceeded to tell me I needed to replace everything, to include the meter base and breaker box, and also put my AC on a separate circuit. I asked if they could just run a new line to solve the problem since he said the issue was with the aluminum line. He dismissed my suggestion and said that my equipment wasn't up to code and was adamant that everything needed to be replaced.

I asked if they did repairs on dehumidifiers and he said yes. I asked for quotes with and without the dehumidifier and also to fix a lighting issue. He told me he would send me options via email by the end of the day.

That night I called Entergy to ask if they were responsible for the aluminum wire that runs from my pole to the meter base and explained what Ciro told me about it being corroded. Entergy sent a technician to my house and the technician rolled his eyes when I told them what Ciro said, but replaced the aluminum connection on their pole anyway. The technician then did some voltage tests and determined the issue was inside my meter base. He inspected my meter base and said I needed a new one. When I told him Ciro suggested I replaced both the meter base and electric panel, the technician opened the panel and said it was old, but the wiring looked fine and didn't need to be replaced.

I never received the quotes as promised by Ciro. When I spoke with Gretchen, I asked if it was possible for them to replace just the meter base and not the panel because of what Entergy told me. Her response was that their company was a ""premium"" company and that if I'm looking to save money, they were not the company to go with. I told her that I never got the invoices and had no idea how much this repair was supposed to be to know if I needed to go with another company. I asked if she could give me a price range for repair so I could see what I was working with. She would not tell me a range. Then I asked if she could send a quote for some options as Ciro said he would do two days ago. She responded saying that their company doesn't sound like a good fit for me.

What!?! In a call where I was just expecting to be given quotes after an estimate, became one where I was basically told that their company was too ""premium"" for a customer like me.

Anyway, I found another electrician who came out and replaced just the meter base for me a few days later. It's been a week since the repair and so far so good.

The technician (possibly owner) showed up within 2 hours as promised. My credit card was charged 199.00 before his arrival. I was told when I called that would be the charge as it was considered after hours. The young lady I spoke to was very pleasant, no complaints there. Without taking out a tool, meter, or any type of equipment the tech condemned the unit within a few minutes. He told me the unit was old and the compressor was bad. When I balked at his diagnosis by sight alone I was told he was telling me like it is. I've done honest a/c refrigeration work most of my life but am disabled with arthritis and COPD. I'm a bit rusty but not an idiot. A wire adjustment on the capacitor was all it needed to be up and running later the same evening. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. He has no interest or maybe lacks the knowledge to repair your unit. Lots more money in selling you a new one. My 199.00 was credited to my card. He was annoyed and said he didn't need money that bad. My guess is he didn't want the review.

So I call and they say it will be roughly 50 dollars to come out and look at the unit. After five minutes the guy says I need a new blower motor and coils. Also I need the whole thing done. They give me a quote of 1850 dollars for a blower motor and clean the coils. And 9000 dollars for a BASIC a/c repair....What!!!!!....then he has the audacity bto ask 225 dollars for work already done....really...what work..you looked at it for five minutes...so i said no he leaves and does not leave an invoice or anything. So i get a second opinion..the technician not only says you only needed just a capacitor but the so called inspection of the coils the technician from Trinity supposedly did was fasle..the technician showed me he did not even attempt to open the panel to the coils because the adhesive was still intact..all in all he basically tried to con me out of a lot of money over simple capacitor that you easily could have fixed..oh by the way the blower motor that Trinity said was bad is not....thank you Calloway A/C for being honest and professional....Trinity I highly advise you to teach your technicians to be honest or send them back to a/c school...also they had the nerve to call about an invoice that i never signed or saw or agreed to afrer a seriously poor diagnosis...really!!! If you want good service go with Calloway A/C of Metairie and ask for Ryan!!!!

Extremely fast response time and very personable people. They called be back within 15 minutes of placing the service request on Yelp and were able to be to my house within 2 hours.

When they guys showed up they introduced themselves and made me feel comfortable about inviting people I didn't know into my home.

They listened to the issues I was having, gave me a quick run down of the items it could be and immediately went to work. One began on the thermostat while the other went outside to look out there.

Within just a few minutes they diagnosed the issue, corrected the problem, and ensured it was properly working. They offered great advice about how the entire system is looking to need replacing very soon based upon its age and condition. This was expected to hear so its not as if they are just trying to sell me on something that isn't needed.

Absolutely outstanding company and people! If you don't give them a call, you'll just never be that cool...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My AC completely stopped running and after an unsuccessful attempt with another company.. I found Trinity Home Services and called them. I spoke with Gretchen, who was a complete delight to speak with and she was able to have an appointment for me first thing the next morning on a Saturday. Ciro, the owner, arrived right at 8am and thoroughly checked ALL the AC components. He had my AC up and running in less than an hour!! I've always been cautious when dealing with AC/Electrical companies, but this company ranks #1 in my book! The people are great and I couldn't be happier with the experience I had. Honest and reasonable pricing, excellent customer service and very professional! Seriously, best people and company I've encountered in this field!

RUN don't walk away from this company.
My situation the AC was not keeping the house as cool as I like it ie set at 70 would get up to 75. So this wasn't an emergency call and I told them that from the get go. I talked with Gretchen (wonderful person) and set up a time and a day for them to come out, $49 inspection/service call. After greeting the owner Cero and a technician at the door I showed them my out side unit and with in 30 seconds the technician seen a little leak. And it would make sense that it was a little leak because the unit was only 6 months old. So it took it that long to start giving me an issue.
Cero took me in side tried selling me on pulling out my coil and cleaning it.(He never even seen my coil to say it was dirty) Told me after they were done with the leak and 3 pounds of 410-A and to put a UV dye (Yellow Jacket dye less than $20 each) in the system to check for other leaks today would be $750. I thought it was high but hey they are here and the technician already started the repairs so I thought. So I paid him. I won't even talk about the issues they had with the dye or the $100 he said he would give me back because of the issues with the dye that I ever seen. Then after they were done playing around out side and getting ready to leave he said we will fix that leak next time we come back. WAIT $750 and you didn't fit the problem. Oh i should of been more clear he said. fixing it wasn't part of today. We will have to come back another day to do that. So i have a leak you just added freon so you could charge me for more freon next time he came.
I could go on more about him releasing my units freon for 11 seconds out to the open air and killing my grass where he did so. At the end of the day I called a more trustworthy company that came out the same day and FIXED the leak and added 1 pound of 410-A for $170. If you care about money or even just want your problem solved STAY away from Cero.

I'll hit on a few points, some of which have already been noted by other reviewers:

My initial thoughts on Trinity were a little hit or miss. I called them because my AC was not blowing cold air. They sent a few guys out to service my system, refill the freon, etc. About two weeks later, the same thing happened again. They sent a technician out who told me that I probably had a leak somewhere.

I was a little put off at first, because I felt like they should have caught that the first go round. Shortly after, my AC went out completely. Because I thought that they had missed something, I didn't call this company. I had a few other companies come out over the course of a few days, and the consensus was that I probably needed to replace the condenser and the upstairs coil.

I had another company come out and do a consult with me, and I had pretty much decided to go with them. However, they were supposed to call me back that day to set up a time for the install. Long story short, after my calling them several times, I still didn't have an appointment. By this point, I was on day 3 of no AC, and my house was 91 degrees. It was at that point, I decided to try Trinity again.

I spoke with Gretchen (who is great, as you all know by some of the other reviews) and sent her the proposal that the other company had sent me. Ciro, the owner, came to my house the same day, offered me a similar price, and told me he could have a crew out the following day.

I woke up the next morning, and, of course, it was raining. I was pretty sure that Trinity would reschedule, but to my pleasant surprise, they were at my house at about 7:45 that morning. In the rain.

The job was completed by about 5pm the same day.

That night, I noticed that a light in my utility room was no longer working. I assumed that maybe something was knocked loose in the attic. I called Gretchen about it, and explained that it wasn't a huge deal since it was literally just a single light and an outlet that were no longer working, but that I would like for Trinity to send someone out in the next week or so to evaluate the problem. Instead, they sent an electrician out the same night (this was at about 8pm) to see if maybe there was a quick fix (there was not.)

Ciro came by a few days later, and was still unable to pinpoint the exact problem, so he told me he would come by a few days later (today) to get a closer look. He and another electrician came by, and after about 45 minutes, determined that something in the attic had, in fact, been knocked loose. The electrician (I forgot his name, unfortunately) was able to fix the issue without any problems. To top it off, they also replaced an old light switch, and Ciro happened to have a new, simple, single bulb light fixture to replace my old one.

I can't really speak too much about pricing, but Trinity seems to charge in the same ballpark as other companies. Whether these prices are high or low, I'm not sure. This was my first major home repair, so I don't have much to compare it to, but they seem fair.

Where Trinity shines is customer service. As noted, Gretchen, who handles the scheduling and office stuff, is great. Not only is she pleasant to speak with on the phone, but she calls to follow up after the services have been completed. Ciro, the owner, is obviously very hands on and involved. He's direct and to the point without being rude, and seems to be honest when it comes to his evaluations and recommendations. The technicians and electricians were very also very courteous. And they were all very tolerant of my neurotic-a** dog. The fact that they were able to come and do a major repair/install on a days notice, in the rain, and complete it the same day, was beyond impressive.

Once we recover a bit from the financial hit of having to replace our AC, I plan on setting up a service contract with this company. Their work is good, the prices seem fair, and the customer service is on point. Five stars, easily.

I've used Trinity for both HVAC and electrical services in the past month on my rental property and I called to have them complete HVAC work on my personal residence that was started by another Company (that was selected by my home warranty company).

Gretchen is highly responsive to requests for services through Yelp - usually calling to set up a time within 10 or 15 minutes of submitting the request. They give a 1 hour arrival window, so you don't have to block off as much of your time as other companies that give a 4 or 5 hour window. You get a text message to confirm the appointment, another when the technician is en route, and another when the work is completed. Glenn and Terry are both super friendly, and worked with me to determine the best solutions to my problems. Glenn worked around my schedule for the electrical work, and when I was running late for my Friday afternoon appointment, he came the next day without the weekend charge, and came back to complete the work on Monday while I was at work.

Not only are they friendly and responsive, they're good at what they do! The HVAC Company that my home warranty company sent out told me I needed a new compressor for one of my units, but Terry got it working in about 45 minutes with no fuss.

I can't recommend Trinity highly enough to anyone who needs electrical or HVAC service.

★☆☆☆☆

Too expensive! I got charged $ 200 for the emergency call. That's OK i was told upfront and I accepted the charge! Than the technician found the problem. The AC capacitor needed to be replaced. Cost is $330. Do you want me to replace it? Asked the technician. This is an item that cost no more than $20. What am i supposed to do after i already spent $200 for the call? I accepted the charge but remain very dissatisfied with the service. Look for somebody that doesn't take advantage of the situation.

Trinity is a phenomenal company who was willing to go above and beyond in a very hairy situation and with a quick turnaround. I was buying a home and the seller was being heavy handed to get us to close when she had not completed more than 6 out of 12 repairs she agreed to. The repairs were also being completed by non-licensed people which made me question many things.

From my initial phone call to Gretchen describing my unique request for a electrical and HVAC inspection on work just completed, to the professional service of Ciro and his HVAC guy, to the final request to write a quote on the work needed to be done to get the house up to par, Trinity exceeded my expectations.

Ciro thoroughly explained how our HVAC system was set up for a 1600 sqft home and with the additional 200sq ft master suite, they did not upgrade the AC. He told me summer will be telling as to whether the system can maintain coolness with the extra square footage. He explained about the deteriorating ductwork, which sounds like a handyman special we find a lot of around our house. HAHA!!! Ciro also stated the electrical work looks good, but the box is not the right kind for the house--more like a trailer. Unfortunate for us, but nothing we hadn't expected....seriously some of the repairs are laughable (attic stairs that open into a metal fenced in back porch).

I was grateful for Ciro's candid conversation, him entertaining my 20 questions game when I am trying to understand new info & for explaining to me that with the heat leak in the HVAC system we could have ended up with carbon monoxide poisoning or DEATH! :( We hadn't even closed on the house yet.....its not time to DIE!!! It was cold for 48 hours!!

The emails and texts to remind you of the appointment and timely arrival were blessings that didn't keep you guessing. I would recommend Ciro & Trinity to anyone who wants someone who will leave you feeling informed about your home and its current status. Lastly, Gretchen will follow up to make sure you are happy with your services and I promise you will be!!!!

Thanks Trinity Team!!!
