With 30 years of experience, Mike is a seasoned electrician. Following in his father's footsteps, a union electrician, Mike pursued this career after college. Starting in non-union shops with little structure, he sought a more stable work environment. After two years in the non-union sector, he jumped at the chance to join the union. He enrolled in the union apprenticeship program and has never regretted it. Within five years, he achieved journeyman status, taking on significant commercial projects for Cupertino, Rosendin, and Sprig Electric. He has worked on projects for Intel, Google, Applied Materials, Microsoft, Stanford, HP, Xilinx, and many other large commercial endeavors for the union. In 1998, he was called by the Army Corps of Engineers to work at Fort Ord, replacing panels for RP Richards construction. In 2001, he made the decision to start his own company. The dot-com crash served as the catalyst for him to start his own business. This is how Tri-Phase was born.

Recommended Customer Reviews

Mike was efficient with his work and super knowledgable! Was able to identify the problem quickly and resolve it at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend his service to anyone in the area who's in need of any electrical work.

We hired Mike to install our Tesla's Wall 220V charger. He came home on the said date and gave us a quote and scheduled an appointment for the installation. He came home promptly again with his kit on the scheduled date/ time and completed the work in a couple of hrs as committed.
Mike is knowledgeable and professional and he would himself get everything needed to cover your electrical needs.
If you are reading this review then there is no reason for you to look beyond Mike for your electrical needs.

I hired Mike to do a small job at first - replacing my recessed lights with LED lights. He did it so quickly and professionally that I quickly hired him again to replace my bathroom fan. All projects done quickly and with reasonable costs. I'd recommend Mike to anyone who needs any kind of work done.

Very friendly, reasonable cost. Mike did some work on a 220 EV charging outlet a couple years ago that ran into some trouble again last week. He stopped by the next day (a Sunday) and repaired the issue at no cost or materials, even when I offered. The service, availability, and cost were worth 5 stars, but standing by work from several years ago is why he's now the ""Electrician"" in my phone.

This company promised me 2 times to come to my house to look at the problem, but no body showed up at either times!!

I called Tri-Phase Electric today to schedule them to come down to my business to give a quote on some new electrical installation. I was impressed with the owner (Mike) knowledge, punctuality, and professionalism as he came out to my business the same day within a few short hours notice. He is passionate for his craft, and was hired immediately. I look forward to more future projects at my business & home. Highly recommended!

Mike was supposed to be at my house to give me a quote the *first* time on 11/6 ""around 11am"", didn't show, and didn't let me know he wouldn't be here until I got in touch with him. He rescheduled for today 11/8 between 11am and noon. I sent him a text a few minutes after noon saying to not bother as I'm not willing to waste more of my time. He replied saying he was here at 9:55am and there was no answer at the door. He then described a house that isn't mine (claiming there are apartments next to it - there are no apartments next to my house). I was here. My housemate was here. My dogs were here. Yet none of use heard the doorbell, which rings at both ends of the house, and is quite loud.
To recap:
- Incapable of being on time or letting you know he won't be on time
- Goes to the wrong house at the wrong time
Both of which could have been solved by a simple phone call.

Exceptional service. Mike installed Tesla chargers for me twice without a single glitch. Most importantly, Mike is a really nice guy - When he came, my washer hose in the laundry room had flooded the whole area and he promptly got me his wet vac from his van and helped me eliminate the water and fixed my washer hose as well for no extra charge!

Mike was very friendly and gave useful suggestions when he initially came to visit for a quote. His quote for installing the EV charger was comparable to another quote I had gotten. I decided to go with Mike knowing that he wasn't trying to upsell anything. He did a great job and came by to do the work on a weekend since I needed the charger installed soon.

Mike came out and gave a quote for kitchen recessed lighting. He suggested a different plan than a previous quoter with smaller size lights that would give plenty of coverage.
He was definitely right and I love my lights. He also suggested a dry wall repair person who patched the hole in the ceiling where the light box had been.
Good work in a timely manner and good price. Definitely recommend.
