I wanted to install recessed lighting in my house and consulted Yelp. I contacted Mike via email and he quickly responded. His rates were far more reasonable than other estimates so we set up an appointment to meet at the house. During the appointment he educated us about the efficiency and longevity of LED lights and even demo-ed by converting one of our existing can lights to show us how bright they were.

We initially wanted recessed lighting in one room and center light fixtures in a few bedrooms but when we saw how beautiful and how updated our house looked after the installs, we immediately wanted more and ended up installing recessed lighting throughout our whole house! Mike installed LED cans in our main living room that has 20 foot ceilings and they significantly brighten the room! He even helped us convert our existing can lights to LEDs, changed our bathroom fans, installed dimmers, and installed a floodlight in our backyard. Unfortunately the install days landed on a 90+ degree heat wave week but Mike was very efficient and was still friendly and upbeat.

He also recommended us to Dan Pena drywall and also helped us coordinate with him to ensure the drywall was patched up quickly after the lighting installs. See Dan Pena Drywall's yelp page for a separate review.

Mike B is an amazing electrician. We wanted to install recessed lights in our house. When Mike visited the house, he carried all the different recessed lights. He guided me through the LED lights and we decided to go with the 4"" LED lights. His quote was also reasonable and we decided to go with him.

They say that a good electrician will do minimum cuts to the drywall. Mike fits the bill. He also carries a inspection camera which has a probe to survey the inside so that he does not have to cut the drywall.

Overall the work was amazing and we installed 28 LED recessed lights. We also moved the TV over the fireplace and did a bunch of other things like putting a new electrical circuit in the garage.

I recently used Tri-Phase Electric to replace the fluorescent lights in my kitchen with LED canned lights and I couldn't be more satisfied. Within a few days of speaking to Mike the job was done. Mike was very patient with all of my questions. The work was completed quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption and I really appreciated his efforts to clean up the unavoidable dust created from the construction. I would absolutely recommend him to friends and family as well as employ his services in the future. Did I mention how much I love the lights? They look fabulous!

Mike the owner gave me some complimentary electrical advice when I had an outlet go pop after the wifey dropped a bobby pin between a plug and the outlet. Don't ask me how it got there, that's another story. Bottom line, I'd call him first for electrical services.

Sent out a few requests to local electricians on a Sunday for recessed lighting installation and Mike called me within the hour and came by to scope the project that afternoon. Mike was very responsive and great communications throughout the whole project.

Mike does know about LED lights and provided a competitive quote for install 6 new lights + replacing 13 incandescent lights with LED single units. When Mike arrive, he discovered the old cans were square instead of round and the CREE lights would not work. However, Mike knew right away some options and we went with another light option that could fit. With a couple of calls, Mike's light supplier personally drove the new lights to my house (thanks Tal @ Lite Line Illuminations!).

During installation, Mike was able install the new wiring without cutting any drywall, a big plus, no need to follow up with drywall fixing. Then it was on to replacing lights on a 19' ceiling. There were a couple of hard to get to lights and with some great acrobatic and balancing skills, Mike was able to replace the old lights.

Overall, a great job and satisfied with the lights; looks really clean and great lights.

Over this past Christmas weekend I received a call from one of my distressed tenants who had no light in their living room and hall-- and their alarm was beeping. After struggling to find someone who could help fix this issue I ran across Tri-Phase Electric's yelp page. I called Mike and left a message thinking that I'd never hear back since it was a holiday weekend. But just a little while later I got a call from Mike. He couldn't make me any promises because of course he had family plans that day (Christmas Eve). To my surprise he was able to get over there and get the issue resolved very quickly and make my Tenant's Christmas --(and mine too) a whole lot more comfortable. 5 Stars for Tri-Phase Electric and Mike!!

Take it from me, a property manager-- Mike and Tri-Phase are awesome!!

Can you give a company 0 stars? That would be my choice for Tri-Phase Electric

I hired them to install can lights in two rooms upgrade electrical/switch plates in my house and install GFI switches in the bathrooms and kitchen. I also hired them to install all of the new hallway light fixtures and ceiling fans with dimmer switches for 4 bedrooms.

I paid them 60%. They showed up when they said they would and installed the can lights, changed out the switch plates and ran the electrical for the new ceiling fans (or so I thought, read below). I believe I was at work at the time. But when I got home I discovered that they had only installed one GFI in the kitchen next to the sink, and not the other three I had asked for in my bathrooms.

I called to make sure that they would come and install the GFI's and also schedule for them to come back and install the ceiling fans and light fixtures. And then I called again, and again, and again, and again.....When I did finally get ahold of someone, Mike told me that he would ""send his guy over."" .......still waiting.

Finally, because we really needed lights and I was 9 months pregnant at the time, I had to find a new electrician to come and finish the work. Now everyone knows that you can never hire a NEW person to finish a job for what you would have paid overall, so I believe I ended up out several hundred dollars. Also, when the new electrician came he notified me that they NEVER RAN THE ELECTRICAL FOR THE DIMMER SWITCHES ON MY 4 CEILING FANS, and that would basically run me the entire cost of running new electrical, so not only did I not get my dimming lights, I also had to eat most of the cost of the dimmer switches that I had ordered because the lighting store told me they would charge me close to a 50% restocking fee.

Bottom line, I would never, ever hire this company again and I certainly would never recommend it to anyone.

We found Tri-Phase Electric after reading great reviews on Yelp. We had Mike installed 24 lights in our home and they turned out looking great. Mike was very helpful explaining the different light options and what works best for lighting our home. We are very glad to go with the lights Mike recommended to us (LED lights). They really make our home look nice and bright with professional installation, friendly service, great price, and overall, Mike is a great guy. He even came out to put the lights back up after our home contractor finished with the house painting (free of charge..just a friendly smile). Mike even came out to redo one of our kitchen lights for free (we put the kitchen cabinet too close to the existing light). He's awesome! We will definitely have Mike come back to put more LED lights in our master bedroom (and maybe the rest of the bedrooms later on). Besides installing LED lights for us, we also had Mike replaced our electrical box and reworked all of our electrical wiring around the house. Nice job!

We finally did a kitchen remodel and needed an electrician to install under cabinet LED lighting. Mike from Tri-Phase Electric was knowledgeable, courteous, and affordable. He made some great suggestions that were relevant and really made a difference. We are thrilled with our new lights! Thank you Mike for adding the perfect finishing touch to our new kitchen!
