Company Overview

Let me start by highlighting the key contrasts between our electric cooperative and traditional investor-owned utilities. You may not realize that our members are granted a genuine Bill of Rights which encompasses the right to access trustworthy, budget-friendly, and safe electrical service along with the right to unite to form and operate a community-focused electric utility. Within a cooperative framework, all consumers are afforded fair and equal consideration. This equitable treatment is made possible not just by management and staff, but also by a Board of Trustees elected by the members. This represents the highest standard of consumer protection. Moreover, cooperatives are guided by seven principles that provide members receive fair attention from the utility they support. The principles encompass fairness, transparency, member governance, autonomy, education, skill development, and access to information, including collaboration among cooperatives which allows for the benefits of united actions to work towards the advantage of our cooperative members. The last of these principles focuses on community well-being. Although cooperatives place members first, they consistently work to improving the communities they support.
