Nothing but praise for this company. Fair price, quality service, and straight forward communication. Replaced complete HVAC system including removal of old duct work in my 1940s Land Park home + installed a completely new electric panel. All work went well and on time. One more benefit, because they were on the SMUD approved contractor list, I got substantial rebates for both services and TRC handled the rebate process for me.

A year ago, the August heat of 2019 put a fork in the old system. The first random guy we called gave us the dreaded, ""It's dead. There's nothing that could be done"" lecture complete with visuals from our dilapidated and outdated system. The guy toiled with it for an hour or two and hopelessly with no results at a restart. Ominously at the mercy of a stranger, we heard his sales pitch, and said, ""Thanks."" I paid him for an unproductive house call and to hear his extorted sales pitch. Pit in stomach was growing exponentially at this point.

Thankfully, we stumbled across Chris Todd (credit: E.S.M.G. FB Accolades! You know who you are!). I contacted Chris as sweat dripped down my face in desperate need of A/C relief. Chris gave me a straightforward answer. He could make time to see if he could get what I had up and running, but let me know any major jobs would have to be scheduled out as it was peak season. I understood and was stoked just to have him out.

Chris made it out quite surprisingly quicker than I thought he'd make it and with what seemed like little effort, got the old A/C to kick in and provide much needed relief (for not much more than what the first guy charged me). It was almost as if Chris had some sort of magic repair wand. Savant? Maybe. We had a new friend!

I scheduled Chris to comeback in late fall to replace my system head to toe with new duct work, heater, A/C, etc, and moving the unit into the attic space. Chris found a time that worked and made sure it was during a window where optimal SMUD rebates would apply.

They were very thorough. They delivered on their every word and over-delivered on service and genuineness. His price was in every way competitive and the quality of work and commitment to dotting every ""i"" and crossing every ""t"" was over the top.

If you are lucky enough to get him on his calendar to render you service, your money will be well spent (as I write this from my whole house fridge thanks to Chris and his team! LOL).

Chris Todd is amazing! I reached out on Tuesday morning after our 15 year old Trane HVAC stopped blowing air the night before. Chris came that afternoon to diagnose the issue (fan blower motor was out, and needed to be replaced). We are in the midst of a heat wave, triple digit Sacramento heat this whole week coming up, and we are so grateful he was able to fit us in his schedule.

Chris' brother Zack assists with his scheduling, and was super communicative with letting us know that they found the part and he would be repairing our HVAC Friday morning. Chris fixed our HVAC in about an hour and a half, doing a very thorough job hosing down the dust and made it work like new. He recommended using a lighter duty filter so that our old unit wouldn't have to work as hard as the allergen filters make it work. He's super kind, honest, and helpful. Highly recommend TRC Heating and Air!

Todd's Repair and Construction provides excellent service in a timely and professional manner. Due to rodent damage throughout my HVAC and ductwork system under the house, it was necessary to replace all of the ductwork. Chris Todd, the owner, provided the best price compared to several other companies. In the middle of the replacement they discovered a leak in a water line under the house. They were willing delay the work until the plumbing repair was completed. Fortunately they had completed the removal of the old ductwork making it easier for the plumber to remove and replace 35' of piping. Todd's came back a few days later and completed the job. Chris and his crew were so polite, cleaned up each day, and they were a pleasure to work with. Even with the delays and additional work required due to unforeseen issues, Chris honored his original price. I highly recommend their services.

Had Chris out to put in my new 4 ton air unit. He came in at the best price and him and his partner were totally professional and went the extra mile. Worked over 8 hours and got it all done to perfection..There's not enough room here to list everything they did. But my system is top o the line now. Highly recommend you go here first. You will not be disappointed That's a promise. And yelp is altering my post here and wont print my other sentences of praise for Chris..

Chris is the best!! A nice young man...very honest and informative. We called them for a quote on a new heat/a/c unit, as we were told by South Placer Heat & Air that we had a cracked heat exchanger, and needed an entire new unit. Chris came out, took a look, told me that there were no cracks, fired the unit up, and we now have heat! $60 for the visit....that sure is cheaper than the $8100 South Placer quoted us for a new unit. We will use Chris for ALL of our heating and a/c needs in the future!!!

Called Chris for AC repair. Chris diagnosed the problem as a bad thermostat. The following day he purchased a new thermostat and installed it. All for a very reasonable price. Chris is professional, punctual and well qualified. Thanks for your help Chris.

Chris was amazing! My AC was in need of being replaced. He was very considerate of my opinion on how my previous unit worked, what I would like improved. He was able to recommend the perfect unit for me. He very much looks after his customers needs. He will not sell you something that is not necessary.
He and his co-worker were friendly and professional. They were very clean with their set up and take down. We met on a Tuesday, he installed the new HVAC system on Thursday, and installed new thermostat on Monday. He takes care of the permits and SMUD rebates for you too.

Chris is an excellent HVAC contractor. Honest, reasonably priced, knowledgeable, and reliable. We had him put in a whole system, heat and air and he was easy to work with and everything went smoothly. He discussed our options with us and understood when we asked about weighing costs with benefits. The only thing is that he's pretty busy so if you're looking for a short turn around, he might not be able to fit you into his schedule unless you're willing to wait a couple of weeks to a month for him to get you in. For us, it worked out but I understand that some people may need HVAC installation in short order. I don't have any experience with him for repair type services so I'm not sure about his availability for that. Overall, he comes highly recommended from friends and we are glad we found him for our project.
