I had tower electric out to my home to install some lighting. They worked for 3 hours & 45 minutes and left. I received an invoice from the company whereas I was over billed for an additional hour at $95.00, in addition to that there was a fuel charge of $10.00!! I called & spoke with accounts receivable & I was told that the company vehicles are tracked by GPS & he would review the GPS to verify the time at my home. I received an updated invoice which was red stamped ""Past Due."" This invoice still reflected an extra half hour of labor and still a $10.00 fuel charge. I called again & discussed the discrepancy with accounts receivable, at which point I was told that they left their shop at 7:30 am & arrived at my home @ 8:00 am, so I am now being charged travel time?! Excuse me but that is the cost of doing business, and realistically how can I even verify their actual travel time even if I agreed to pay it? The man I spoke with became very sarcastic and asked me if I had lived in Austin would I expect them to drive out for free?! I reminded him that I live in the San Antonio metro area and NOT Austin. Realistically however, if a company accepted a job, it is their responsibility to get to the job site and have fuel in their vehicles, not my responsibility. On top of all this they charges me a sales tax for the fuel charge. Given the distance from my home to their business I sure know that they didn't use $10 worth of fuel. In summary these guys are crooks, they over bill & try to swindle & hustle you into paying more than appropriate. Word of advice; DO NOT CALL TOWER ELECTRIC because they are dishonest and will try to rip you off.

I called tower electric at the end of December I explained that my dryer plug and a light fixture needed repair. last week the dryer plug started sparking I was in the room at the time or it may have cause a fire the plug was burned I called and they denied working on the plug although this plug was not connected to the breaker so he wired that opened the dry plug sorted out the wires then attached it to the wall and they denied working on this plug and now I have no dryer plug and I paid over 4oo.oo for this work

My hot tub stopped running. Thinking it might be an electrical problem I called Tower Electric as I could not remember who the electricians were that connected it. Tower did not end up being the company that connected it but asked what the problem was. I explained the problem to them and they walked me through how to reset power to the hot tub over the phone. This is something I would never have known before. It was an easy fix and I am so grateful for their help. Although they did not physically come out to do any work, if I should ever need any I will certainly call them. Thank you, Tower Electric!
