Needed an electrician that was close by on short notice to install the remote for my fan as the vendor sent me a replacement. Ruben and his son came by in the morning and got it done quick! He does excellent work and would definitely recommend him for electrical jobs. They also are A/C certified now too!

Pathetic!! He was recommended by some resident in our building, Pat H., but doesn't return calls or schedule appointments. Turns out that this resident is more interested in getting commissions from referring contractors to friends and neighbors. Guess that's what happens when somebody gets fired from a federal job.

Tomas and his son arrived and went right to work. He changed my security/motion detector quickly. He charged me and excellent rate that I couldn't refuse. Quality work too. I will use him for all my electric needs from now on.

We're about a week late in posting this review but we just want to let people know about this great business and owner Ruben Tomas. We had a DIY mishap in trying to install a bathroom exhaust fan. We called around and got frustrated nearly losing hope because it was the evening before Hurricane Douglas was headed our way.
Ruben answered the call, knew exactly what the issue was, gave us a quote and honestly, the most reasonable of ALL the quotes we received over the phone. He could've easily declined like the 30 other prior calls we made but he didn't. He came the afternoon the hurricane was headed toward our island. Regardless of whether or not it was a quick fix. He came! That means everything to us! He was very personable, professional and confident in his job. We appreciate him and pray an abundance of God's blessings upon you and your family business Ruben! We look forward to working with you again in the near future! Mahalo Nui and Salamat po!

I did my research on this guy and he seemed to check out ok but when he came to do my job, he did not fix the problem and seemed to forget what was done. He said he would check on parts and call me back and did not. I am sorry that I trusted him. His yelps seemed to be good and he is licensed but he is not a credible person.

Just finished a big job on my deck and the contractor I hired did an outstanding job. Prior to leaving they offered to install new outdoor waterproof outlets on my deck as my other ones were 20 years old and needed replacing. However, when they left, I noticed there was no power going into the outlets. Now, I don't blame them because they are not electricians...I blame myself. With that, I recovered and called Oueroben 'Rueben' Tomas. He showed up within an hour of calling him and I was glad when I met him to see he was seasoned electrician (50 years of experience), which was obvious as I watched him go through his internal checklist troubleshooting the problem. Long story short, our contractor that fixed our deck installed the wires wrong in one of the outlets which prevented both outlets to work. During the troubleshooting, Rueben found numerous problems along the way such as loose wires in different electrical boxes and some other areas that just didn't make sense which he then fixed on the spot. Funny thing, I'm a young senior citizen (yes, there's different levels of senior citizens), and thought I was older than Rueben because he looked and moved faster than me. I later found out he's 6 years older than me :( I was extremely impressed with this 50 year seasoned electrician and he charged me a very reasonable considering the amount of troubleshooting/work this older senior citizen did. He definitely will be my go to electrician for any future electrical problems I run into. Outstanding Work! Mahalo Rueben!!!

Tomas Electric did a great job for us. I was able to get a same day appointment for replacing an exterior GFI outlet that had broken. Colin arrived early and had enough time left over to take care of a few other electrical issues that we had as well. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable about the electrical code, and did a great job. We have a new doorbell unit to install and I'm planning to use him for that project as well. Very happy with his work and service!
