Stay away from their expert evaluation of your heat pump system.
Was quoted $3500 + to replace faulty heat pump by TLC certified expert.
Then I paid Claffey Pool to inspect the heat pump and the only problem was the ignition switch for gas was off. Fixed it immediately and the tech was not a so called expert.
TLC apologized for their elementary mistake inspecting the heat pump and reimbursed me their inspection fee and I was able to cancel their membership for ""discounts.""
Bottom line. Be cautious and obtain a second opinion before agreeing on having TLC perform expensive repairs, which may be unnecessary.

Biggest rip off! They start upselling even before they look at the problem. They were 2 hours late. The fees they charge are astronomical! DO NOT use these people!

Please stay away from them, they charged me $70 just come to my door step. For diagnostics asked for another $350. I just told them take my 70 and please do not reap me anymore. I do not recommend them at all.

$797.00 for 4 GFCI plugs? They will not give you the pricing over the phone. Instead charge you $69 to apparently come out and give you a price. When you get the price which is printed in their giant price book, you will need to sit down. I've never dealt with a service company that has such terrible business practices. Also they warranty the work they do if you pay a $99 VIP customer protection plan fee.

I received horrible service. I will not be calling TLC Electrical ever again. The serviceman simply said that he could not fix the swimming pool and refused to provide a reasonable explanation. However, the company did manage to collect the amount for service even though they did not fix anything. They even tried to sell us completely new equipment that we did not need. It turns out the swiming pool was able to be fixed by a different company. I cannot believe this company. TLC is the worst service I have ever received

STAY AWAY. Quoted a $69 fee to come to house. Then was told a separate ""diagnostic fee"" of an additional $169 to even tell me what was wrong. Should have been told this upfront. Disregard other review regarding ALL american citizens. I did not have an American citizen doing the work and he WAS difficult to understand!

Rip Off! Stay Away!
$575 to replace a breaker on house electrical panel? Then ""kindly"" lowered the amount to a ridiculous $480 if I ""join the annual service plan"". We had no choice cause we needed that breaker replaced cause it was the house AC breaker and it was 100 degrees outside with no air for more than a day. Everybody here at work, friends etc know electricians that would've done this for a fraction of this outrageous price from TLC. Wish we known a trusted local electrician before this.
And yes, TLC answers your call immediately, technician arrives on time, clean and tells you the cost beforehand, but if you don't do it, you still have to pay the ""Service call fee"" of $69. Yes, they show up on time and all, of course to overcharge you and rip you off to fix your problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET OVERCHARGED.

Electrician at TLC was very courteous. However their rates will break your budget. $385 to install a standard ceiling fixture and $226 to replace (1) 4 foot fluorescent light with LED lights. The $69 fee you pay for them to come out and give you a quote is a waste of money.

We are first time homebuyers and have never had to use the services of an electrical company before. TLC Electrical was recommended by our neighbor so we gave them a call. We had a list of several things we wanted done from outlets not working to adding pendant lights in the kitchen. We got several items from our project list completed in one day. TLC was on time and ort tech was very informative! I felt comfortable being alone with him in our home. We have already scheduled more work to be done!! Very pleased

First of all, I could not get a general 'ballpark' quote for the installation of a residential ceiling fan out of TLC over the phone (this raised some suspicion). When pressed on this, TLC stated that they preferred to get their electricians into the home and provide a written estimate before they started the job. I then queried them on the process if I thought the estimate was too high and TLC stated that I would then be charged ONLY 69 dollars for the visit.....! Let me get this straight, I'm going to have to pay 69 dollars for you to give me an estimate? TLCs answer, ""yes, we do not provide free estimates"".
Went with Runyan Electric here in Southlake and they provided a quote over the phone, came out the next day, and did a phenomenal job.
