Unique Lighting was very prompt when contacted about service. The technician, Jay, was friendly, knowledgeable, neat, experienced and quick with installing a ceiling fan, light fixture and controller switch in my dining room.

My wife is ecstatic with the look and function of our new fan/lights.

I would not hesitate to recommend Unique Lighting. This could hardly have been easier.

I got to talk to the owner and he refused to refund me the $145 I paid to his electrician. He blamed me for not giving him the chance to fix it, and I should not have hired another electrician to replace the circuit breaker. The fact was I called him right after the AC tech came and he could not get the AC working. He pinpointed the issue to the circuit breaker. I called Tim Hensons and he refused to recognize the problem with the circuit breaker. At that point I had to call another electrician to replace the circuit breaker. The AC tech came and immediately he was able to get the AC working. Clearly Tim Hensons did not do the job right and he did not earn the money. He should refund me.

My AC would not work since the circuit breaker kept jumping. I called to check on the circuit breaker and the electrician told me it was fine. The AC tech came and he did everything he could and he pointed the issue was the circuit breaker. I had to pay another electrician to replace the circuit breaker. The AC tech came back and got the AC working right away. I felt Tim Hensons tech missed the problem and delayed my repair and costed me extra to fix the issue. I demanded refund and Tim Hensons would not respond. Very disappointed. Bad experience.

I would not work with this contractor again, nor refer. I'm sure he has the skills, but unfortunately my lighting job was left incomplete. With a promise to return and finish the job, he declined to do so and left me with having to pay for another lighting company to finalize the work.

Last month we bought some gorgeous art glass in Seattle but when it arrived in CA, it looked totally bland on our shelves. We needed lighting but didn't know who to turn to. Then Tim Henson was recommended and he and his workers made all the difference in the world. They listened to our needs and tried a variety of solutions until we were satisfied. The results we so good in fact that we had them light some of our wall art that needed accentuating. The results on everything were dramatic. Now we feel like our home and its art is truly a showcase.....not glitzy but elegant.

Terrible experience with Tim. Charged $290 for a quote for a pool light install (December 2018). Never seemed intent on doing the job. Very unprofessional. ""I've done thousands of pool lights,"" he said. Sent out his excavation guy a month later (I had to call and ask). Very charming guy named Greg. Greg eventually provided a quote, said he'd work with Tim. This was in January 2019. The quote and dance was a charade. He never called back. Be very careful with this outfit!

I just found his business card. The note I wrote on it: ""Do not use; very pushy; slave labor."" The guy (a white male) was a complete jerk. Gave me the hard sell about putting lights in my yard. Touted his son (who was working with him), while treating another employee (with dark skin) shamefully as if the guy was more slave than servant. I felt captive in my own yard. I thought, ""I will never again hire this man,"" (he was doing a repair job in my house).

I recently had an electrical issue with some outlets not working and also needed some outlets GFCI protected. I was able to get an appointment for the next morning between 10-12. Jay arrived at 10am! He was very knowledgeable and professional and within an hour he was able to troubleshoot the issue and make the necessary repairs. I would definitely recommend Tim Hensons and the technician Jay!
