Javier was recommended to us by our real estate agent Rama Mehra. He gave us very reasonable estimates. Our home is a 50 year old home. Javier helped add recess lights in the living room, light fittings in the bedrooms, exhaust fans in the bathrooms and electric panel in the garage. He also installed a 240v charging outlet and additional outlets in the garage and the kitchen. Javier did an awesome job and I found him to be courteous, professional, trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend his services and will always go to him for my electrical needs.

I found out about Javier of Three B Electric from a listing on Angie's list, a few years ago. His company had a rating of five stars. Out of the estimates I was able to get, his was the most reasonable. My home is located in the city of Oakland, Ca. and I was having an issue with finding a licensed electrician who would even come to my neighborhood to give an estimate. Javier had no problem coming to my East Oakland home.
Javier upgraded the electrical panel on my 78 year old home, replaced all light switches, and installed a fire / carbon monoxide detector in March 2021. Shortly afterwards he upgraded the fuse box inside my bedroom. He did such an awesome job that I also hired him to install an exhaust fan in my bathroom a few months ago. He's currently adding an electrical panel and recess lights in my unfinished garage.
Javier is extremely professional, trustworthy, dependable, and takes pride in his work. Once he quotes an estimate, it doesn't change, there's no bait and switch. When he completes a job, it's done right the first time. From here on out, he'll be the ONLY electrician I'll call.

I had originally contacted Javier due to arcing in my walls which caused all of my outlets not to work and the breaker would not reset. He arrived with his kid and they were both very friendly and seemed like they knew what they were doing. They began by removing all sockets and unplugging everything. When we got to an outside plug in the backyard, he asked me what the plug went to and I told him it was the sump pump. He unplugged it and continued troubleshooting the arcing and found the issue in a piece of conduit outside in the front yard. He disconnected the wiring inside the conduit and told me he fixed the issue. Again, they were both friendly and did find the issue. However, there were two issues that changed my stance on Javier. Not necessarily his skill as an electrician, but more so his approach to customer satisfaction as a business owner, and shadiness as a person:

Issue 1: When he had disconnected the wiring in the conduit, it did fix the breaker/arcing issue but it also caused a new problem. The light switch in my garage no longer worked and the other light in the garage stayed on and could not be turned off. I texted him and told him and he texted me back saying, ""you paid me to fix the breaker issue and I did."" I responded by saying that he did fix the issue but in turn caused a separate problem. You would think a business would honor that since my light would not turn off and was wasting money and electricity... and it was caused by him. It's like taking your car into the shop to get your oil changed but when you pick it up, your tires are missing. He responded by saying, ""it's $200 if you want me to back come out."" I did not appreciate this response and no longer wanted to use them for their electrical services.

Issue 2: A few weeks passed (garage light still on constantly) and heavy rains came. I walked downstairs to my office and the entire room was flooded. When he put all of my sockets back together and plugged everything back in, he failed to remember the most important plug...the sump pump! I took pictures and sent it to him and told him what he had caused. He stopped responding to my text messages. I had to rush to Home Depot to rent an industrial carpet extractor, rip up the carpet, throw the carpet padding out the window and dry out the carpets. I reached out to him again the next day via text and even tried reasoning with him. I said, ""This is not a reflection on your work as an electrician, but you did neglect to plug back the sump pump and caused this flooding. Therefore, I believe that this was your responsibility. Since you said fixing the garage light would cost $200, and since I just spent $280 on new carpet padding and renting an extractor and a heater to dry the carpet, can you just fix my garage light issue and we can call it even?"" He ignored me and never responded after that. I tried calling and his number was later disconnected.

I was referred to this company, reviewed the website and did not see any work that included appliance install? I inquired via text as to whether or not the person was familiar with the product and did not get a reply. I later called and asked the same person over the phone Javier??? (Why did I question him?) Well I suppose he felt as if I had no right to question him! He hung up in my face and later sent a text apologizing. He further stated ""I am a ca license contractor if you are not sure I can do the job I have the right to cancel Have a great day""! Truth be told, Frankly I don't care about your credentials, I asked a question! However, I don't want you at my house with that nastiness! Learn how to treat people with kindness & respect! Do you really expect to succeed in business with that attitude? I'm so shocked when people act out for no reason, it tells me that your issue is NOT with me! Why do you feel it's ok to be nasty and rude when I'm asking a legitimate question?......Good luck with that, you have a lot to learn and if you think you'll be rewarded, you won't. I have had three persons come to my home ""licensed I might add"" who claimed they could install only to find out they could not, it's good to ask questions! When someone becomes offended when their questioned, that's a BIG red flag!! Heyyyyy no hard feelings Sir on my part, I'm hopeful you learn a lesson.....your skills & professionalism dealing with people period whether they are potential $ making business opportunities or in everyday life

Highly skilled electrician,excellent lighting consultant and someone you can trust. Javier and the Three B Electric team was subbed out on my home renovation and then I hired them for some additional work. It was great to talk with Javier about lighting placement, location of switches and all considerations so that my wife and I ended up with rooms we love and lighting schemes that are amazing.

The team was also quick and efficient. He applies his skill and care into all of his work. I noticed how he and the team prepped the site to keep things clean from start to finish. I especially appreciated his nice and clean cuts in the drywall for the renovation. Javier and his team are tradesmen that the other trades appreciate and as a homeowner someone you can trust.

Javier did the walkthrough with me and was very accommodating to my requests. He was honest and provided helpful feedback as to what was needed.
