Ted told me that he needed to do a diagnostic to pinpoint the problem first. He came as soon as the following day on a Sunday morning. He was able to pinpoint the problem and fixed it. He only charged me $100, and saved me the cost of purchasing a new fan. I'd definitely hire him again for other projects.
