I talked to Bob and although The Electric Connection was unable to help me set up an outlet for a Level 2 EVSE due to my limited incoming power to a townhome (60a), he was very friendly and helpful with my incessant questions and more than a few emails (sorry about that, Bob). The woman answering phones is extremely friendly too. Another installer basically ghosted me after giving me a big quote, and others just said it was impossible without really taking the time to explain why. I know much more now than I did when I first starting getting bids, thanks to people like Bob. I should be clear, none of this is anyone's fault but for how these units were set up. Single-family homes, +1.

I'm sure they would have done a great job with an installation, and who knows, nature might still find a way to make this NEMA installation work (I'm still looking for solutions around a DCC unit). A DCC unit is just a way to circumvent a full panel, where it cuts power to the EVSE if your amp load goes too high, and turns it back on when there's capacity to do so.

I'll be checking with my HOA to see what their experience is, since the solution can't just be that nobody in a townhome with this power set up cannot have an EV! EVs are here to stay, and the incidence of ownership (or desired ownership) is growing.

I wanted to give kudos to this company for being accommodating and yet honest with me about managing my expectations for a townhome clearly not built with EV-charging in mind!

Manny installed a Tesla Wall Connector in my detached garage and everything went smoothly and as quickly as I could have imagined. They even fixed a couple of problems they found that had been done by a previous electrician many years ago, which I knew nothing about. Excellent work. Our experience was electrifying!... Yeah, I know. That was too much but I couldn't resist. We needed to install home charging capability for our Tesla and ended up putting in a circuit breaker in our main breaker panel, a 220 volt NEMA receptacle, and the wiring to connect the breaker to the receptacle. We had called around and checked the ratings of the different companies and the Electric Connection was highly rated. They also made the estimate process very easy. Many of the others wanted to schedule a day for a representative to come out to the house to provide the estimate. This meant an additional day taking time off from work to be available to meet them. The Electric Connection gave us the amounts for the estimate over the phone with set prices for the breaker and the NEMA receptacle and a price per of linear foot for the wiring from the main breaker panel to the NEMA plug. This made pricing their cost very easy and hassle free. Ultimately, we chose the Electric Connection based on their ratings and the easy estimate which turned out to be a reasonable price. They arrived on the scheduled day and within a few hours had the breaker hooked up to our new NEMA receptacle adjacent to our driveway. I was shocked at how quickly and thoroughly the work was completed with high quality. (I know. That was another weak attempt at electricity humor.) We have been very happy with our new electric hookup and the convenience of home charging. We were also very pleased at the price for the work which compared favorably to the amount friends were charged by other companies to have home charging capability installed at their homes. We recommend The Electric Connection to anyone looking for a high quality electrician. We are already making a list of other electrical work we need done around our house and will be scheduling a day for them to come back soon.

The Electrical Connection is a very organized and well run company. From contract bidding, scheduling, showing up on time and completing the job, things went smoothly. The electrician James is a very qualified person and knows what he is doing. There are some loose ends but they have agreed to return to complete them at my request. My project with them is to upgrade the electrical connections to increase the safety of my house despite the fact it has aluminum wiring. With the help of the Electrical Connection, I feel safer now, besides being delighted with the modern look from installation of the switches/outlets.

The Electric Connection was recommended by Tesla to put a Nema 14/50 outlet for my Model 3. They responded right away, gave me a quote via email and broke down what the cost would be based on where my panel was located. I really felt like they honest and not trying to up sell me or rip me off. Jerry Rubio did the install and he showed up on time. He was friendly, fast, clean, professional and even helped me with another issue with my treadmill. There was a slight snafu with the plug but Jerry came right back out and solved the problem. TESLA Wall Charger Installation
I had Jerry Rubio from The Electric Connection install my HPWC today, & I couldn't be more pleased with the work performed.
Jerry & his partner, showed up on time, surveyed the job requested, & provided me with a quote to do the job.
In under 3 hours the work was complete!
He had me bring the car into the garage to make sure everything was working okay. They cleaned up after themselves & even patched some extra holes in the garage.
If you need a TESLA Wall Charger installed, I highly recommend these guy's.
I will be calling them back to do some additional electrical work around the house. This is my go-to electricians from now on!
