A couple nights ago, I noticed my EV charger wasn't on. I reset it, but no luck. I then went to flip the breaker, thinking that would solve my problem, but when I flipped it back on the breaker made had a horrible short with a loud BOOM accompanying it. I thought it blew out my entire breaker. All the lights in my house were out. It was 9 PM.

I called our previous electrician, whose contact info was on our breaker, but he didn't answer. I was desperate to at least see if I could get ahold of someone, so I went to Yelp and called the highest rated electrician, Tapia Electric. Yo my surprise, he answered immediately. I let him know my situation and he told me he couldn't come out that night (understandably, it was 9PM) BUT what he did was walk me through what to do, helped me reset my breaker and get electricity back in my house - all during after hours.

Not only did he help me, but he came out the next morning and fixed what turned out to be shoddy work from the previous electrician. Needless to say, he is going to be our new electrician going forward. He made what seemed like a horrible issue for me and turned it into a surprisingly pleasant experience. And, the cost to fix didn't totally break the bank.

My company, My Insulation Guy, had installed insulation for an unoccupied home. Homeowner noticed power not working to sections of house and understandably thought we had done something. I reached out to Jorge from Tapia Electric. He was quick to respond and came out to inspect the issue same day. Jorge determined that it was not our fault, that someone had improperly wired several of the boxes, causing it not to work. Jorge then repaired the issue and went above and beyond to check rest of house to make sure all the electrical was done correctly so new homeowner would not have to be concerned about potential fire hazard. Jorge was great about communicating when he would arrive, kept me updated on his inspection/repairs and his price was very good.

Power being out in part of the home can be a real inconvenience, but they came out the next morning, and fixed the bad breaker, fast!

We are 100% satisfied with the service provided by Tapia Electric. Jorge and his son Danny were fantastic--they went above and beyond our expectations. They addressed and fixed our 3 non-working outlets, a bathroom fixture, and even fixed a non-working appliance that was not actually an electrical issue. They were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and kept us well informed as they worked. In addition, their rates are reasonable. Jorge did excellent work on my house. Installed 4 bathroom light fixtures and add light sockets to my master bedroom. He was in and out on my house in less than an hour for each time he came.

He kept me well informed and sent pictures when he was finished.
