T & J investment was assigned to me by American home shield. An appointment was set up for Tuesday morning between 8 and 11 AM. At about 1130 I decided to call them. It appeared the technician forgot my appointment. So another appointment was made for the same day between 3 and 6 PM. The technician shows up at 1o'clock. They were at my house because the electricity went out in one bedroom after they did their analysis they determined that the entire room needed to be rewired. We determined that there was an electrical overload I found that hard to believe since there were only two items plugged in a laptop and a small lamp. The cost to rewire the room was $600 which was not covered by American home shield. I asked for a second opinion after that never transpired I went and got electricians on my own. I went and hired an electrician the problem turned out to be two faulty outlets.

T & J Investment was sent by my homeowner's insurance (AHS: American Home Shield) and they completely missed the first appointment - without a call or text message. I had to message them that they had missed the appointment. They rescheduled. A technician arrived and diagnosed the problem with my whirlpool tub jets as being the switch/timer on the wall. They said they would contact AHS for me to see if it was approved to be fixed. I didn't hear back. I contacted AHS and was told it wasn't covered but that T&J said they would do it for $145 out-of-pocket to me. However, T & J never contacted me. I have called (no answer) and sent multiple text messages to no avail. It's now been a month since that first scheduled appointment. Do not use this company!

Shame on me. I never checked with YELP. I would have known this company is TERRIBLE! They were sent out by American Home Shield Warranty. That's why I didn't check ratings for this company... I assumed American Home Shield wouldn't send a company like this. Original problem was a bank of can lights in ceiling that weren't working. A tech from T & J was sent out and he diagnosed the problem as a bad breaker and said they would reschedule in a day or two to replace it. As he was putting the cover back on the breaker box the lights came back on. He said it was probably a loose wire but still said the breaker needed to be replaced. I ended up having to call them in order to reschedule another visit.

A different tech showed up only to tell me after he looked at the breaker box that nothing was wrong with the breaker that the original tech said was the problem. In the midst of him looking and fiddling with the breaker box, the lights went out again and he couldn't get them to come back on. He said the Main Breaker needed to be replaced. As he was preparing to leave he put the cover back on the breaker box and the lights came back on. Same as before he said the main breaker still needed to be replaced and that they would have to call to reschedule the work. A day or two later I called T & J to find out what the status was and I was told that the problem was my box needed to be upgraded. Neither technician said anything about needing an upgrade.

Especially since after simply jiggling the cover on the breaker box the lights came back on and have been on ever since. T & J continues to assert that my breaker box needs replacing. After 2 weeks of no problems with my electricity, just for the heck of it, I called out another company for another opinion. They tightened up one wire connection and that was all he could find wrong. T & J Investments was worthless, and, honestly, I'm not too happy with American Home Shield either, but I'm willing to give them another chance.

Do yourself a favor... have nothing to do with T & J investments. (It doesn't even sound like a company that does electrical work, does it?

Like the others before me. Assigned to keep through american home warranty. The absolute worst. Had a person who showed up who knew nothing, was in the phone to his office the entire time. Told me he replaced two breaker fuses for me, but put In old fuses with shorts In them which could have burned my house down. When I called because my electricity shut off on those breakers, I was told I didnt understand anything and to find someone else. I had to pay another company to come and fix the problem that I did not have prior to them coming out, and all I got was yelled at and hung up on. My house could of burned down...american home warranty still harasses me for the $75.00 that I will never pay to them. Just awful, and criminally negligence. They need to be put out of business. Disgusting

Just another bad review for this company by a First American Warranty customer. It's been one month and T & J hasn't returned (to fix my ceiling fan ""that is improperly installed and could fall down any second so please don't walk under it"").

Finally got a hold of someone at T and J to please return as First American approved the work 2 weeks prior and read him the confirmation email. My favorite line he responded with ""sometimes they say they called the customer to approve work but actually didn't because they didn't want to deliver the bad news that the work is not actually covered.""

Anyway, at my request, First American is sending me a new company that is coming out on Tuesday .

This company is so dishonest. It was a huge mistake going with them. The work had to be redone 2 months later by a different company, and when I was dealing with T&J I encountered lie after lie. Depending on who I spoke with in the company, the story changed. No ones stories matched up. I was not at all surprised to their yelp reviews reflected the same experience I had. I rarely write these reviews but wanted to save anyone out there from the experience I have had.

BLUF, this company is terrible. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and lazy in general. If I could give no stars, I would. I do not recommend using T&J.

I had a problem with lights not turning off on my ceiling fan. Clearly a short somewhere and the light has power when turned off. I was referred to T&J Electrical Associates by American Home Shield to fix a ceiling fan issue. The company was assigned and supposed to call between 24 and 48 hours to schedule an appointment. They did not. I called to schedule an appointment, and after a few reschedules due to ""unreliable employees"" according to the man on the phone. Someone eventually showed up. The first gentleman took reading and confirmed a short. He said he needed to replace the fan, and asked if white was acceptable. I said yes. He left and never returned. They closed the ticket as a light bulb problem. AHS denied the claim because they don't replace bulbs. (Bulbs work... if I use CFL, LED, dimming or non dimming... they just won't shut off).

I called my warranty company to get an update and they said that T&J reported it as a light problem, and that bulbs are not covered. I told my warranty company it's not the light, it's the fan electronics that has a short, and the light will not turn off. The light works. The electronics controlling the light do not. They reopened the ticket and reengaged T&J. It took T&J several weeks of continuous rescheduling to come back to my home. The tech arrived, and didn't troubleshoot at all. T&J didn't submit an assessment to the warranty company. I called AHS. They tried engaging with T&J, but they dodged status updates. AHS engaged vendor relations, and T&J finally submitted a report. They reported back no mechanical failures to my warranty company, no details, so nothing to fix. (Light still will not turn off). So I requested another vendor given the problems with T&J.

I also called T&J to ask how they report status when the tech literally did not touch my fan or isolate the short. The guy on the phone said AHS denied my claim because it was a problem with the light fixture on the fan. AHS still states they reported ""no mechanical problem."" Nice story, but not true. There is a short and T&Js tech didn't troubleshoot. He then said the fan motor is covered, but not the light assembly, and that I should read my contract. He says I'm an idiot, and that if they come out again, it will be the same result. Same result, as in the tech will not attempt to isolate the fault? I'll attach pics of the contract so he doesn't give you a BS line for a response. I have ShieldComplete. It covers Additional Home Items, to include ceiling fans. (Pic below as proof) Section H, ShieldComplete, Item#1 states ""Ceiling Fans: Covered Items: All components and parts. Pic below, so have fun arguing that...

Off of my rant. This company lacks ethics and I don't know how they are licensed. They do not troubleshoot or isolate faults. They speak terribly about their staffs reliability on the phone with customers. They don't understand their lazy write-ups impact the homeowner. They are not familiar with home warranty contracts. They argue that you are are upset because they didn't fix your problem. Exactly, fricken, right! Do your job and be a professional. They didn't do proper troubleshooting, they wrote incorrect statements on the tickets so they don't have to do the additional work. They argue with the customer about what's in their contract. How about you read it first so you don't get slaughtered like this?

Bottom line, do not use this company. They are unreliable and a bunch of crooks. Hire someone competent with ethics.

This was the third company to come out to our home to repair the lights in the kitchen(First American warranty). The first to actually diagnose and the fix the issue. The first two were absolutely worthless!

I used their service through American Home Shield. TWO months of multiple phone calls to them ,(they never call you or return your call) after a initial visit, they charged me $250 for a trip fee after they told me they no longer serviced my area. The man named Teddy said he wouldn't send somebody out unless I paid that 250 bucks . When the first technician came he didn't have the part. Is it my fault that you service an area , ignore your customer and tell me you can't come out anymore because you don't work that area? If you would've dealt with my electrical issues within the first couple of weeks of your initial visit maybe I wouldn't of had to pay that $250 charge on top of the $75 I paid to American Home Shield. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy . STAY away from them

my home warranty (first American) assigned them to me last Thursday to fix some electrical issues. They were supposed to get back to me in 1 to 2 business days. It's now been a full week and nothing. I left a voicemail and emailed them as well to set something up and they still have not gotten back to me. I rearranged by work schedule for the week for them. What a waste of my time.
