We have always have a good experience working with owner Tom and his electricians. Straightforward, honest, fair prices. Tom hires good employees. Our most recent job with Eric went off very well. We were going away for the weekend so I asked if he could make some time on a Friday before we left town. It was a circuit with a floodlight and exterior outlet that had shorted out. Eric arrived on time, talked through the issue with me, made it all understandable, and told me what he recommended would fix. After I agreed, he got right to work and was finished in a couple hours.

TEC has also replaced our main service panel, run power out to our garage rebuild, and a few other odd jobs. For bigger jobs, Tom comes out and quotes it himself. An Alameda original. We trust them with our home's electrical work.

Great experience with T.E.C. Electric. I've had them out twice over the past couple of months working on a project to convert an attic room. They added electric outlets and overhead lighting. They did a great job at a very reasonable price. They showed up on time when they said they would and returned all calls promptly.

Tom and his crew have been to our home several times over the past 15 years. When we remodeled our kitchen they installed under cabinet lighting and can lights to replace the fluorescent lighting and added can lights in the hall and family room. They also added to the electrical to support the new appliances. This latest visit was to install a light above the tub for our bathroom remodel. They are always terrific to work with, reliable, and quality work. Will call them for our next remodel project!

I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get an appointment and the guys figured out a tricky electrical issue pretty efficiently. Another guy had tried to figure it out for 3 hours unsuccessfully before I called TEC.

The only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is I had something personal stored in the cupboard that needed to be pulled out. The TEC guy said what is this? Then he removed the cover and he opened it. I think he didn't even realize what he was doing I was standing right there. It was a knee jerk reaction but it was inappropriate. Also the guys wanted to drill a hole through my house from the outside and install something on the outside of my house. When I questioned them about other options it didn't turn out to be necessary to mess up the outside of my house at all! It was done another way. I had to be an advocate for my house when they just wanted to do it some easy and odd looking way.

Miracle workers! Our home, which was brand new when we bought it 20 years ago recently had the neutral wire come ungrounded (likely due to faulty construction). Tom and Scott worked tirelessly to research options for us as the power company had shut all our power off. While initially it looked like a 2 week repair, after a lot of research and diligence, they found an option that restored power to us in 24 hours.

They treat your home like it is there own and go the extra mile to take care of their customers.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. They have our highest recommendation!

I had an electrical emergency situation on a late Friday afternoon and called the emergency number at T.E.C. Alfonso answered and after listening to my description he said he was on his way over. Alfonso diagnosed the very unusual problem and replaced 3 outlets which were heating up. He was polite, explained the problem and what was needed to fix it. We were very happy with his work and quick response and plan on scheduling with T.E.C. for other electrical work that needs to be done. We highly recommend T.E.C.
