Matt was great. I got multiple bids to install my EV Charger and to replace my aging 100 amp panel with a 200 amp panel. Sycamore was the lowest price, but I would've gone with them anyways because I just had a good feeling about Matt - straight talker, no bs.
Something did go wrong after the panel upgrade, I'm pretty sure it had to do with the very old wiring on that part of the house. Matt stayed hours after the end of the day to address it, and then came back on the weekend to finish it. I was concerned that an electrician might use this as an excuse to increase the cost, but Matt didn't even try that. He put in all the extra hours, stuck with the original bid, and got it all working great.
I intend to call Matt for all my electrical work in the future.

I highly recommend Matt at Sycamore Electric. I talked to several ""electricians"" who would not do my EV Charger installation due to it requiring permits, but Matt said ""No problem, I live in Danville and am well familiar with the process"". Communicated perfectly, let me know when he would do the installation, was right on time, and then set up a time to wait for the inspector, and was dead-on with that timing as well. Great guy, great company to deal with!

My experience with Sycamore Electric is AMAZINGLY GREAT!!

The frustration of finding a licensed electrician to install an EV charger gave me a headache until I found Matt. First of all, Tesla-certified vendors don't provide an easy communication route. I contacted 2 of them on the top of the list near my location, but none promptly replied to my onsite assessment. Moreover, their bids are way higher than expected for a simple installation of the charger in the garage. Eventually, I turned to my local guy and contacted Matt for a quick bid. He was a wonderful person to talk to in terms of initial visit, proposal/bid, permit, county inspection, and completion. Everything was well prepared and official. Simply, he knows his stuff so well, and I could tell he is confident with this type of work as well as shows pride in his work.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM for anyone in the areas of Alamo, Danville, and Blackhawk. I'm super happy to know him and he's my go-to pro contractor for the following reasons: competitive bid, quality work, clean job, effective communication, and excellent customer service!

I recently got an electric vehicle and needed to get a 40 amp charger installed. Matt was fantastic from start to finish. He called me right away and was able to set up an appointment to give me an estimate, which was very reasonable and less expensive than the other bids I received. His schedule was flexible and he was extremely punctual. Matt was very thorough and did a load calculation and determined the best way to supply the 240V, 50A circuit. Matt was exceptionally clean and he did an excellent job running the conduit and installing the JuiceBox charger that I supplied. I highly recommend Matt.
