Great customer service. Overall wonderful experience. We needed a few minor electrical issues taken care of in our SoMa loft. Nathan the electrician exceeded my expectations. He quickly fixed our bathroom switch issues and addressed our upstairs lighting issues. We need to have them return in a few weeks to install a light. I look forward to using them in the future. Called last week to make an appointment. They set an appointment and I took the day of work today. They were suppose to show up between 8 am and 9 am today. No one showed up. So, I called them and asked when they were gonna come by. The receptionist said, oh, you got bumped, yet no one called me to say I got bumped. She acted all bumbling and unorganized on the phone. If their receptionist is unorganized, I am assuming their electricians are too. SAVE YOURSELF DON'T USE THEM.

Okay, I never write reviews, but I had to this time because Seth is amazing. I moved into my house 6 months ago and the day after we moved in, our doorbell stopped working. 3 electricians later (2 of whom were through my home warranty), the doorbell still isn't working. They tried everything and they just couldn't find the transformer to fix the doorbell. In comes Seth....his first visit, he diagnosed the problem and then had to order parts. A few weeks later once the parts come in, he comes over and within 1 hour it is fixed...he solved a problem that others thought were impossible. He's my doorbell savior and it's just in time....all those trick or treaters now can ring my doorbell for some candy.....THANK YOU SETH!!! Affordable, knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly, can fix the problem - what more could I possibly ask for?!

I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work, the quality of materials used and the professionalism of this company. I had been planning this upgrade for over a year since it was not an emergency. I am an admitted OCD perfectionist, a DIYer that rarely hires anyone for home or auto repair, and I tend to micromanage everything - and Seth made me very happy. I carefully researched the best electrician, starting with Angie's & Yelp and then refined it to a number of estimates and phone calls and then used all the information I learned from those interviews and conversations. I was impressed that Seth appeared the most knowledgeable, and had the best ideas for the installation. His price was also very reasonable - he was not the cheapest price but he was the best value. I wanted whole house surge protection built in to the panel, and a panel allowing the possibility of adding a generator without needing a separate transfer switch box, etc. He selected high quality materials including Square D QO breakers, box & surge protector. I stayed home and watched the entire installation. Everything went well and he had my power on by the end of the day. His wiring work was very neat and tidy by my standards. I was present the next day for the inspection and we passed. The office manager, Terri, was also very helpful and responsive on the paperwork and setting up the appointments. On a personal note I spent a day and half with Seth during the job and he is a very nice and personable guy too. I would absolutely recommend Switched Electric as a top electrical contractor.

Seth was a pleasure to work with! All around nice guy, very easy to work with and very responsive to all questions. He installed 4 led recessed lights, various dimmer switches, a track lighting system and a couple gfci eletrical outlets for me.

He came out to do a free estimate for installing recessed lights in my newly bought condo. We talked about various lighting options and he wrote up several itemized estimates for me so that I could work within my budget. He also talked me through how he was going to do the installation and the city permit process as well.

Seth made some great recommendations about layout and bulb options. He answered all my calls and answered all my newbie questions even before choosing him as my electrician.

Once I had a plan that I liked, we set a day for him to complete the recessed lighting. He arrived early (7:45am) and started work immediately. He sectioned off the work area with plastic tarp on the floor and hung several layers from the ceiling too, so that the ceiling drywall dust wouldn't spread to the rest of room. He completed the entire recessed lighting installation a little early and cleaned up everything before I came home. We inspected the work together and he explained everything that was done, As a nice bonus, he had marked all the ceiling drywall cutouts around the lights so that I could quickly identify the right ones when re-installing the drywall. It was all quick and painless.

Seth also came back a few days later to install a track lighting system. He even threw in a set of replacement bulbs because he could get them at a discount.. He also met the city inspector for all the electrical work. The full permitting process was also included in the estimate. It was taken care of without any issues.

I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great electrician!

Seth came exactly on time. He is very knowledgeable, has a great attitude and got along well with our dog (not required, but a great bonus that our dog could ""help"".

He completed his full inspection, and within a few hours we received a exceptionally detailed write up with photo evidence matching each inspection point and area of recommendation. We will not hesitate to call on Switched Electric to perform the needed services they identified.

I have nothing but nice things to say about Switched Electric. I will be using their services and recommending them to anyone looking for an electrician in my area.

Today I called them up because I was having issues with my lights flickering on and off. I suspected the issue was because of the dimmers that were installed before we moved in. I called Switched Electric and they offered me service the next business day. I had to work the next day so I asked if they had anything for the same day I was calling. The friendly people of Switched Electric went out of their way to make my small problem a high priority and got someone out in just a few hours. Awesome!

The licensed electrician came out and let me know that my problem was that I was using florescent bulbs with non florescent dimmers. Additionally I had one outlet with a dimmer that was getting very hot. He let me know that the wattage was too high for dimmer and that I should consider replacing the bulbs to a lower wattage or up the dimmer capacity. He suggested I try the inexpensive way of replacing the bulbs first and he'd get me a quote on the replacement just in case we decided to go with option two.

I started at my wallet when he let me know that the services he provided today were free! He was there to provide me with a quote and the extra information was a courtesy. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I tend to find that any information/help always costs something. The technician was more concerned with providing me with excellent service then trying to squeeze a quick buck. To me, this is SOOOOO refreshing.

I'm likely going to replace the dimmer with the higher wattage one and this is the company I'm going to use to do it. If you're looking for an electrician in the Los Banos area, I highly recommend this one. They also service San Fransisco, San Jose, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, and Monterey

I had been trying to find an electrician for months to install some lighting and change/install some electrical outlets. This was a relatively small job so maybe they did not want my business. Most often appointments were made and never kept. Finally, I found someone who is reliable and knowledgeable with reasonable prices. We got the work done and it turned out perfectly. Seth and Nathan knew what they were doing and were able to make changes that worked when things did not go as planned. I am very happy with the results.
