Put in a call through American Home Shield. When callback was not received, I called Switch and left two messages. Still no callback, so I contacted AHS who contacted Switch. They told me I would be receiving a call within 1/2 hour. 24 hours later, still no callback. So, I decided to check Yelp - what I should have done in the first place. Cancelled order and went with another vendor.

Unprofessional. Showed up 6 hours after original promised time...tech started to make excuses right away as to why AHS would not cover issue. She talked in circles and didn't make sense. She took pictures and sent them somewhere as if she didn't really know what she was doing. Ultimately, she fixed issue, not even bothering to plug appliances in to test. Not surprising though, American Home Shield has more awful vendors than good ones.

This company doesn't even deserve a one star but Yelp wouldn't let me bypass it without putting one. This is the worst electric company I ever dealt with. They were sent by American Home Shield to fix a problem with our light/light fixtures in three bathrooms and garage. First of all they didn't call till a week later to make the appointment, then when a guy name Charles came, I told him what the problem was and all he did was take pictures with his cell phone. Then he proceeded to tell me that he will write a letter to AHS to let them know what the problem was and get an approval. Three weeks later, no call from Switch Electric or AHS. So I finally called AHS and asked them what's going on? They told me that the electrician had written in his report that nothing was wrong with the light! That's NOT TRUE! The lights in the three bathrooms are still either flickering or won't turn on at all. So AHS said they will sent them back and they will call me to make another appointment, but lo and behold, they never called back and I had to call them. Charles said, ""oh we can come there on the 23rd of December"" and I said ok. On the day of the appointment they called and they canceled the appointment they said because it's raining and someone will call back to reschedule the appointment but no one ever did. Finally I called them back on the 13th of January and they said they'll come on the 19th. Charles came again and he proceeded to tell us how insurance company works, I was asking him why didn't he tell AHS what the problem was, but he's still saying that insurance company doesn't always pay. I asked how would you know they wouldn't pay unless you told them was the problem was. I said AHS covers the fixtures and you said that was the problem!! We were going back and forth to the point that my husband and I were arguing, finally Charles said he would send the report to AHS again. I asked how soon would he get back to me and he said within 48 hours. Guess what? He never did, yesterday, the 3rd of February , I called AHS and asked them the status of the job and they told me that the electrician said the job is done and completed! I just about went berserk, I asked the rep at AHS why in the world would I called you if it was completed?? Finally they said they're sending out another company to fix the problem. Never again will do business with Switch Electric!!!! This company is a scammer!! Just reading the other reviews, it seems they always says the home warranty or insurance company doesn't cover the problem but when you call the home warranty company like I did, they do cover it! So beware, if you ever have them in your home and they tell you it's not covered, call the home warranty or insurance company!!! Better yet, if they sent them to you, say you'll rather have another Electric company!!!

Completely non-responsive. Came out on warranty dispatch. Never called as promised when there. Didn't return a single message- about 5 messages. warranty co. called, never submitted report. Finally warranty co. reached them on the phone a month and a half later and he said it wasn't an electrical problem off the top of his head, and that they had submitted a report. Even the warranty co. didn't believe them and assigned another vendor.

A complete waste of time and energy. They would not even return a phone call to set up an appointment for the service I needed. Do not waste you time and energy with switch electric.

I can't even give this half a star. My landlady's home warranty company called for this company to come up and deal with bathroom fan. The moment the electrician walked in, Latricia, she demanded to listen to the fan. Proceeded to tell me how home warranty works. I asked her to please speak with my landlady and wait 20 minutes for landlady to arrive. ""No I will not wait and the home warranty company can speak with her. I cannot fix the fan. It's not broken.""
According to the landlady, Laticia told the home warranty company the fan wasn't loud enough to wake anyone up! RIGHT! It sounds like a freight train. 2 people standing in the same bathroom can't even have a conversation but it's not loud enough to wake anyone up! What crap.

This is worst company to hire. I got this company through Insurance. He went back and got call American Home Shield insurance that the request is declined... because of non sense reasons. I checked with this guys and never gave me proper reason and ofcourse reaching is a night mare..

Put in a service request with Old Republic Home Protection when we bought our house. Request was put in 11/21. Should have heard back by 11/22...11/23 at the latest. Nothing. Called ORHP 11/29. They said Switch was backed up due to the holiday weekend. BS. We put in the request the previous Monday. They also said someone would be calling no later than the next day. Nothing.
So now called ORHP to have them assign another company to the work order and to let them know they shouldn't do business with such an unreliable company as Switch Electric.

Charles from Switch Electric just left. He was assigned to me by First American to repair two ceiling fans. One is dead and he is going to work with my home warranty company for a replacement. The other he was able to fix.
After the reviews I read, I was very worried about the appointment, but I found Charles to be a pleasant guy who showed up within the window promised, got to work and never gave me the attitude others have gotten. I look forward to seeing him again.

Horrible customer service and electrical skills.I was assigned this company by my home,warranty company.The owner came out and failed to correctly analyze the problem with my ceiling fan.He didn't run any tests but called the home warranty company to legitimize his assessment that the problem would not be covered under my warranty plan.A worker from this company came out again and diagnosed the problem and seemed a bit disgusted that the owner had not taken care of the problem before.Im rather shocked that reviews other than Yelp are positive and even glowing. Could the problem with this company be the owner?I finally had a reputable company come out to finally take care of my electrical problem.I will be in contact with my home warranty company.
Stay away from Switch Electric!
