seriously can't tell a customer that you cannot work because it is too dangerous.. that you will reach out to your home warranty with a report.. and never do it.

Homeowners warranty of America was the one who referred me this company through a claim I filed. They came on 1/5 told me my situation was considered missing parts and possibly out of pocket I was totally ok with that. The thing was they had to submit the diagnosis to the insurance company first then told me I would get a copy of the quote as well. So I went along. Weeks had passed and i started to follow up 1/18 and they told me to call the insurance company, called them they said they haven't received the docs from switch electric! Ha wow! Called switch electric they told me they would send it over ""again"" kid you not 20 mins later my insurance company calls me and said they finally got it and it's not covered. Okay cool, now I called switch electric to see where the quote was too see how much so I can see if I want to move forward they didn't answer and instead TEXTED ME! lol! Basically denied me their work told me to basically find another company to do the work so I waited all this time for them to deny business too a new customer. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM AT ALL EVEN IF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY REFERS THEM TOO YOU! Rose was the main one texting me and not calling back! Very unprofessional !! Who denies business during a pandemic ? Money is money right? Apparently they pick and choose of they want you to be their customer or not!

Wish I could rate them with negative stars. This is a company that American Home Shield (AHS) sent out back in September 2020 and through today I still have items that have not been repaired. Both AHS and I have been trying to get them back out and either get false promises or go straight to vmail with no returns calls. All this lousy company has to do is send in their report to AHS so they can send out for a second opinion but even AHS cannot seem to get that done. Very disappointed in AHS as well for even letting this go this long. Please do not let AHS or any other insurance company send out Switch Electric. Deny and ask for somebody else like United Contractors if you live in Southern Cali!

First American Home Warranty assigned this completely dishonest electrician to fix a light switch. Came over, fixed nothing, lied about needing permission to use a $20 part and never submitted an approval. You should avoid Switch Electric at all costs....Listen to the bad reviews.

Like many others on this page, I had this company assigned to me through my home warranty company. I actually had them assigned to me twice in a span of 3 months. The first time I dealt with them, the technician was a half hour late (and this is after they already had a 3-4 hour window to arrive). The problem in my house wasn't fixed, so I had to open another claim and was assigned to them again. After multiple text correspondences (because they don't answer their phone when you call or return voicemails), I was able to secure an appointment. The day of the appointment, I called to confirm they were still coming and wanted to see if they had an estimate of when in my 4 hour window the technician would arrive. No answer, no text back. After 3 hours, I received a response that they didn't have my appointment and no one was coming. I was extremely frustrated seeing as I took off work to be present for my appointment window. I tried to call again and texted back asking for a supervisor -- no response. What's funny is they in turn, offered a new appointment time and stated ""my timely acceptance would be appreciated."" They can ask for our timely acceptance on their messages, but can't return customer calls or texts. After filing a complaint with my home warranty company, they reassigned me to a different electrician company to help me with my problem. I never heard back from Switch electric to file an official complaint with management. Avoid them if you can, so you can avoid frustration and the payment of your service charge with your warranty company.

After all the reviews I read I was hesitant to use their service, but happy that my experience was positive. 2 outlets at my kitchen stopped working at the same time, we restarted the breakers, didn't help. It took quite a bit to schedule an appointment - 3 weeks from the date we contacted the home warranty to the date a technician came in. They send you a text at least 1 hr in advance to confirm that the technician is on the way and the time he's coming. When Charles came in, it took him 20 min to fix the issue, and I couldn't be more than happy with the service, especially given that my previous experience with the home warranty services was not that good.

I definitely wouldn't recommend this company. Charles is the name of the guy that was dispatched. He called saying he was at the front door which was a lie (we have cameras). When we attempted to call back literally less than 2 minutes after he called, we got no answer. Contact the company, no answer. Left a message, no response. So I called our home warranty company & they said that Switch told them no one answered the door so they're not coming back. Again, that was a lie & I was perfectly fine w/ no one ""coming back"" b/c I would never wanna deal w/ a company that's so unprofessional. ESPECIALLY after reading other reviews.

I was assigned Switch electric by home warranty. After waiting forever to get someone troubleshooting, the claim was rejected by the warranty company based on Switch electric tech report. I asked Switch to fix the problem and I will pay out of pocket. They said they will send me an estimate of the cost. They never did. I contacted them multiple times through phone, email and text. No response. I finally hired an independent electrician and lo and behold the problem is something totally different from what Switch tech reported. He fixed it in couple of hours.
Don't waste your time and money. Switch electric has terrible customer service and poor technicians.
