I had a snafu today in that I accidentally drilled through some wires looking for a stud to hang a self and all the sudden there were sparks everywhere and the washer and drier stopped working. Charlie came out and fixed it even joking with me that he had done the same thing a time or two.

His pricing was very reasonable and he came by quickly. He took his time with me and explained everything he did. He is a very friendly guy and one I will use again.

I needed three outdoor lights wired and hung, plus moving one of the cans for one of the lights. Charles Swanson responded to my message within 30 minutes of calling and was at my house within an hour. He moved the can and hung the lights very quickly and all for an extremely reasonable amount. I would recommend Charles to anyone wanting a quick and reliable electrician!

I called around to get estimates for a couple small projects I wanted to get done around the house. After getting phone estimates that were all over the place. I decided to use Swanson Electric. Charley showed up on time and completed the work quickly and charged me a very reasonable amount compared to the crazy estimates I received from the others i called. That project was for something that would take and hour... one place quoted me $700 for that 1 hours work, and they had a lot of 5 start reviews. When I asked them how one hours work could be so much, they told me they had a ""lot"" of overhead, . I passed on them.

Charley did such a great job I asked him to come back yesterday and install some conduit and pull some wire thru it on my patio to add a couple of ceiling fans and a new outlet. i am very satisfied with the workmanship and the cost of both projects. I highly recommend him!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I should have been suspicious of this company ( owner-operator ) when I called at 8:30am and woke the guy up. He actually said that he was a bit groggy because he was sleeping. Here are the highlights of my horrible experience with Swanson Electric:
( the lights above my bathroom sink were out- closet light on same dual switch was fine )
* Called to see if he could come earlier, then showed up 1/2 hr later than original time.
* carried almost no tools with him ( I supplied him a ladder )
* seemed confused- stumped. And he has 25 yrs experience ?
* finally got the light to work by tightening up wires.
* asked for cash - because it creates less paperwork ( and I dumbly complied )
* light stopped working about 3 hrs after he ""fixed"" it.
* would not return my message when I called him the next day and explained.
* finally spoke to him but he said he was busy and would call to set something up for Monday,
* didn't call- I reached him only to be told that he couldn't get back out for a week or so.
* mentioned that when he did come back out it might be more $$$ depending on what he found.
I decided that I would cut my loses and not even attempt to have this guy do anymore work at my home.
Swanson Electric is no more than some shlub with a screwdriver and a van.
Use this guy at your own risk.

Since moving into our house a year ago, Charlie has done a lot of projects for us. We have an old house and he's really good at solving odd problems and making sure everything is safe. He even fixes vintage lighting fixtures and retro fits them to work properly and safely. He cares about his workmanship and always leaves things finished looking and never sloppy. He knows aesthetics are important to us so he always talks to us about the materials and what they will look like. He is super nice, always on time and always cleans up after he is done. His prices are fair and he is honest with his time. We would highly recommend Swanson Electric for your next project.
